About commercial sealant in East Sussex
Staff facilities can’t be out of action for long. Early starts and out-of-hours work can be arranged so the working day is disturbed as little as possible. You are told when each area can be used again. We work on office washrooms & kitchens, rental portfolios and welfare facilities, and people most often call us about tired sealant in let properties and tired sealant ahead of a health and safety audit.
We work through the job in order: protect, prepare, seal, tidy. For most jobs that takes a few hours per room, so whole buildings are phased and we leave things clean and tidy.
- The first visit is a look round the site to agree the scope.
- We agree when we’ll work, with early or out-of-hours slots where they can be arranged.
- Each area is protected and stripped of old sealant.
- Joints are dried, then resealed and tooled neatly.
- Housekeeping or site staff are told when each area can be used.
Pricing in East Sussex
What it costs depends on the size of the job, how much old material has to come out and access to the work. We give a clear quote before we start.
Why book with us
- We leave the area clean and tidy
- White, clear, grey or coloured to suit, where the product allows

Getting a quote
A good description makes for an accurate quote. Tell us where the job is, what’s wrong and how much there is, and email pictures if that is easy.
Near you in Eastbourne
In Eastbourne, that means homes and buildings near St Andrew, Princes Park and Stafford Junior School and the streets around them. You’ll also find The King's Arms Public House (0.9 miles south-east), WMG Academy for Young Engineers (1.5 miles south-west) and Ratton School (1.1 miles west). The closest station to Eastbourne is Hampden Park station, about 0.7 miles north-west. Other landmarks nearby include Pevensey Castle (3 miles north-east) and Royal Sussex Regimental Museum (1 mile south-east). Green spaces nearby include Combe Hill.
Commercial buildings across East Sussex
Across East Sussex, from Eastbourne, Hastings and Bexhill-on-Sea outwards, offices, hotels, schools and shops all need sealant work from time to time, from washroom silicone to fire-rated sealant around service openings.
The South East is one of the drier parts of the UK, though outside sealant still needs a dry, clean joint, so work across East Sussex is planned around the weather. Parts of East Sussex are on or near the coast, where wind-driven rain and, closer to the shore, salt air are hard on outside sealant. Joints on seaward walls tend to fail first.
Eastbourne: If you look after a church, hall or community building such as St Andrew, any kitchen and washrooms need the same sealant care as any other building. Letting a property close to Hampden Park station? Then several rental properties can be resealed on one programme.
What affects the quote in East Sussex
The price is agreed before any work begins. It’s based on:
- The size of the job
- Whether the work is at height
- How much old sealant there is and how hard it is to remove
- Working hours on commercial sites
A failed joint rarely gets cheaper to fix by waiting, as water and mould keep getting in. If you are not sure whether it needs doing, ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email for an honest opinion and a quote.
Helping us quote
Photos help, but a description is a good start. Try to tell us:
- What the problem is, such as mould, gaps, leaks or cracking
- Where the property is
- If someone has resealed it before
- Whether it’s a home or a business
Asking for a quote is easy: let us know what needs doing and where and its rough size. A few pictures by email make the job easier to understand.
DIY sealant or a professional job?
Some sealant jobs are within reach of a careful DIYer, such as a straightforward joint indoors. The common mistakes are sealing over old sealant, sealing a damp joint and using far too much.
Overfilling a joint is a classic DIY mistake. A thick, smeared bead looks untidy and does not move well, and getting the depth right matters as much as the look.
Keeping the joints in good condition
No joint lasts for ever, but care makes a real difference. Our tips:
- Check the joints during routine room inspections
- Leave squeegees in busy showers
- Keep extractor fans working and serviced
- Don’t leave a failed joint until the next refurbishment
Extract fans need to work. Where a room has no window, the fan is what dries it out, and mould comes back faster without it.
Rooms out of use cost a hotel or landlord money. Catching faults early means they can be put right in a short window, before they become leaks that take the room out of use.
Surface by surface
Hotel bathrooms
Guest bathrooms are resealed room by room or in batches, so most rooms stay available. Housekeeping get a cure time for each room.
Student & care accommodation
Empty rooms between terms or tenancies are easy to reseal, though occupied rooms can be done too.
Why deal with it now?
A quick bead over the old sealant might get a room back in use today, but it will not bond, and it lifts again soon. Doing it properly once is less disruptive than doing it badly twice.
What your quote should include
- How the colour is chosen
- Whether the sealant suits the joint
- Who does the work, and how experienced they are
- How long to leave it before use
Questions from East Sussex
Can you reseal hotel rooms while we stay open?
Yes, in most cases. We agree a batch of rooms for each visit.
Do you come to East Sussex?
We do. Our applicators work in East Sussex, and the service is the same as everywhere else.
Can you send RAMS and insurance details for our site?
Tell us what paperwork your site needs, for example RAMS or insurance details, and we will confirm what we can supply with the quote.
Can you reseal bathrooms across several rental properties?
Yes. For several properties, we can plan the work as one programme.
Is it worth trying it myself?
Some simple jobs can be done by a careful DIYer. The usual mistakes are sealing over old sealant, sealing a damp joint and using too much.
Will there be a smell?
That depends on the sealant. Some smell for a while, some hardly at all, and any smell fades as they cure.
Will the old sealant be removed?
Yes. We cut out all the old sealant and clean the joint before resealing.
