About bathroom resealing in E11
Showers work their sealant harder than baths. Trays, enclosures, screen profiles and wet room floors all need a flexible, waterproof seal. They’re resealed with anti-fungal sanitary silicone, tooled smooth so water runs off instead of sitting in a ridge. Worktop joints fail quietly. Water gets behind the upstand and into the edge of a laminate worktop, where it can make the board swell. Resealing before that happens protects the worktop.
