Bathroom resealing in Perry, done properly

Sealant is the soft line between a bath, shower or worktop and the wall. Once it cracks or goes mouldy, water starts to find its way through and into the wall or floor. Our team cut the old bead out completely and lay a new one in anti-fungal sanitary silicone. Common call-outs are for cracked, shrunken or lifting silicone and a joint torn by a bath that flexes, across shower trays & enclosures, sinks & splashbacks and baths.

Being in a small place like Perry makes no difference to the job itself: it just means planning the journey and access beforehand. Once we’re there, the bathroom or kitchen gets the same care as anywhere else.

A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover.

Perry questions

Is Perry within the area you cover?

Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. We work across London and the South East. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the route when you book.

I let a flat near Adisham station. Can you help?

Yes, landlords and agents are among the people we work for. You can phone 0345 464 0079 or email us with the details for a clear quote.

Do you guarantee your resealing?

Yes, a 12-month guarantee. Good ventilation and gentle cleaning help it last.

What colours of sealant can you use?

White, clear and a range of colours are available. On a worktop we colour-match where the joint shows.

Are you an approved applicator?

Yes. We are ARBOMaster approved, the scheme for applicators of Arbo sealants.

Is it OK to put new sealant on top of the old bead?

No. New silicone will not bond to old silicone, so it peels away and hides mould and water. All the old sealant comes out first.

What sealant do you use?

Products from Arbo and Everbuild, among others, chosen to suit the joint. We will tell you what we’re using and why.

Will the old sealant be removed?

Yes, every time. New silicone doesn’t stick to old silicone, so any old material comes out before anything new goes in.

Bathrooms and kitchens in Perry

Hard water is the norm across most of the South East, which leaves limescale on sealant, grout and fittings.

For site and facilities teams at buildings such as Preston Primary School, we reseal washrooms and kitchens in schools and businesses as well as homes. If you live in an older home near Elmstone Church, timber floors under older bathrooms flex, so joints need a sealant that moves with them.

Perry is about 7 miles east of Canterbury, in Kent. Across the CT3 area, we cover bathroom resealing for homes and businesses. Our Kent coverage runs to 922 places, and Perry is one of them. There’s also a page for Chelmsford, about 45 miles away.

Postcode districts we cover here for bathroom resealing: CT3. That includes homes and businesses on Walmestone Road and Perry Lane. Neighbouring places we cover for bathroom resealing include Nash (1 mile east), Shatterling (1 mile south), Hoaden (1 mile east), Elmstone (1 mile north) and Broomhill (1 mile south-west). Larger places within reach include Canterbury (7 miles west), Margate (9 miles north-east), Dover (11 miles south), Folkestone (14 miles south), Ramsgate (8 miles north-east) and Broadstairs (10 miles north-east).

Local landmarks in Perry

What affects the quote in Perry

Some jobs are bigger than they look, and some smaller. What affects the quote:

  • How many rooms, windows or areas are involved
  • Any mould that needs treating
  • How much old sealant there is and how hard it is to remove
  • The size of the job

Combining jobs into one visit is generally more efficient than separate visits, so it’s worth mentioning everything you’d like done. You’ll get one clear quote for the whole job.

Helping us quote

To help us quote quickly, please include:

  • Where the property is
  • Any access issues, like height or stairs
  • Whether it has been sealed before
  • Whether it’s a home or a business

Quotes start with a quick conversation. Describe the problem, the location and the size of the job, and we’ll talk you through what we’d do. When it suits you, ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email.

When to call us in Perry

Silicone needs a clean, dry surface without any grease to stick to. Traces of soap, bath oil and old sealant stop it gripping, so a rushed job can start to lift early.

These are the problems we’re asked about most:

  • Water escaping at the shower enclosure
  • Leaks into the floor or ceiling below
  • A bead that has pulled away from the tiles
  • Gaps where the bath or tray has moved

Letting a property close to Adisham station? Then fresh sealant around the bath, shower and sink between tenancies helps a property present well and keeps leaks at bay.

What to look for in a quote

  • Which colour the sealant will be
  • Is the old sealant removed completely?
  • When the joint can take water or movement
  • The length of the guarantee

Our hiring checklist

Should I try it myself first?

A DIY attempt doesn’t rule out a professional job. We remove it and do the joint properly, so just mention it when you contact us.

Some jobs are best left to a professional: work at height, external movement joints, fire-rated sealant and large areas need the right product, the right access and the right method.

What happens if it’s left?

Fresh sealant smartens a bathroom or kitchen with very little disruption, which matters if you’re letting a property or selling it. A smeared, uneven DIY bead does the opposite. Around Perry, older homes often have timber in their floors and frames, where water from a failed joint can cause rot if it’s left.

The cost reflects the work involved, not a rough estimate. That’s why we ask a few questions first and give you a clear quote before work begins.

Why us?

  • We never seal over old sealant
  • More than 20 years in sealant work
  • Neat joints and a tidy finish
  • Arbo and Everbuild products

Read our cost guide or what customers say.

What we cannot put right

New sealant can’t fix everything, and we will tell you before any work starts. It won’t solve:

  • A tray or bath that is cracked through
  • Leaks from a shower valve, waste or pipework (a plumber’s job)
  • Loose or hollow tiles, or failed tanking behind them

If in doubt, phone 0345 464 0079 or email us and we will say what we think before you book.

What we seal

  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Basins & vanity units
  • Sinks & splashbacks
  • Wet rooms
  • Kitchen worktops & upstands
  • Baths

How to look after the new joints

So the new joints stay in good condition:

  • Stick to a soft cloth and a mild cleaner
  • Squeegee the walls and tray after use
  • Avoid abrasive pads on the sealant
  • Do not leave water standing on kitchen joints

Check the sealant now and then. A small split or a corner lifting is easy to spot, and if anything looks wrong, just phone 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email.

There’s no need to wait for a full refurbishment. Like paintwork, sealant needs renewing from time to time, and renewing it as soon as it fails protects everything around it.

How the visit works

Our applicators work methodically: protect, prepare, seal, tidy. Typically it takes a morning or an afternoon for most single baths and showers and we leave things clean and tidy. In a small place like Perry, access is usually the main thing to plan. For outside work, also let us know about exposed walls and any outbuildings involved.

  1. We protect the area and cut out all of the old sealant, including the film left on the tiles.
  2. Next, the joint is cleaned and any mould is treated.
  3. We let it dry fully and fill the bath with water before sealing.
  4. We apply anti-fungal sanitary silicone in one even bead and tool it neatly.
  5. We clear away and tell you when it can get wet, usually after around 24 hours.

Preparing for the visit

  • Let us know about earlier repairs to the joints
  • On commercial sites, let us know about site rules
  • For indoor joints, keep the area dry beforehand if you can
