About bathroom resealing in KT19
With over 20 years in the trade, we reseal baths, showers and kitchens in homes across KT19. We’re ARBOMaster approved and fully insured, and the work comes with a 12-month guarantee. We work on shower trays & enclosures, kitchen worktops & upstands and wet rooms, and common reasons people get in touch are damp behind the bath or under the tray and a bead that has pulled away from the tiles.
All our tools and materials come with us in the van, so there’s nothing for you to buy. After a quick look at the joints together, we protect the area and start. It normally takes a couple of hours for a single bath or shower.
- We cover the area around the joints we are working on.
- Old sealant is sliced away and the residue removed.
- We treat any mould and let the joint dry properly.
- Baths are filled first, then anti-fungal sanitary silicone is applied in a colour to suit.
- We finish the joint, clear up and tell you how long to leave it before it gets wet.
What affects the price in KT19
Every job is a little different, so each one gets its own quote. The number of joints, how easy they are to reach and the sealant needed all make a difference, and we will explain the quote if you ask.

Bathroom resealing across KT19: local notes
KT19 has homes of every age, old and new, with plenty of rented property in places like Epsom, Ewell and Chessington. Sound sealant and clean grout keep water out and rooms looking cared for.
London and the South East are among the drier parts of the UK, but outdoor sealant still needs a dry day and clean surfaces, so outside work in KT19 is planned around the forecast.
Epsom: For landlords with property near Epsom station, a reseal between tenants is a quick way to make the bathroom and kitchen look cared for. If you live in an older home near St. Barnabas Church, walls and floors in older homes can move, and sealant and grout show it first.
Common problems we fix in KT19
Sealant laid on a damp, dusty or greasy joint never bonds properly. Soap residue, oils and leftover silicone film all get in the way, and a joint that looked fine soon begins to come away.
Keep an eye out for any of the following:
- A joint torn by a bath that flexes
- Water escaping at the shower enclosure
- Leaks into the floor or ceiling below
- Lumpy, uneven sealant from a DIY attempt
What happens if it’s left?
Fresh sealant smartens a bathroom or kitchen with very little disruption, which helps when a home is being let or put on the market. A smeared, uneven DIY bead does the opposite.

DIY versus a professional finish
Not every job suits DIY: work at height, external movement joints, fire-rated sealant and large areas need the right product, the right access and the right method.
What a professional job adds is preparation and the right product. We take joints back to clean, dry surfaces, and the sealant is matched to the joint and its conditions, and the work is guaranteed for a year.
What sealant work can’t fix
To be straight with you, some problems need a different trade:
- Tiles that have come away from the wall
- Water coming from the plumbing rather than the joint
- Movement from a bath with loose feet or no proper support
How to look after the new joints
Aftercare is simple, and it makes a real difference:
- Use gentle cleaners on the silicone
- Give the silicone its full cure time
- Wipe up water along the back of the worktop
- Run the extractor fan during and after every shower
Keep water off the new bead until it has cured, which is usually around 24 hours. After that, a quick wipe after showering helps keep it clean.
Each shower pushes a little more water through a failed joint. Over time that water reaches floors, walls and ceilings. Resealing early stops it.
Your questions about bathroom resealing in KT19
Can you quote for more than one area?
Of course. Combining jobs makes good use of the visit, so mention them when you ask for a quote.
Can I choose the colour of the sealant?
White, clear and a range of colours are available. Where the joint is on show, we match it to the surface.
My sealant has gone black. Can you sort it?
Yes, we replace the mouldy bead. Sprays can fade the marks, but cutting it out and resealing is what lasts. Airing the room well helps stop it returning.
When can I use the bath or shower again?
We give you the cure time before we leave, and it’s usually around 24 hours. Getting it wet too early can spoil the new joint.
Will there be a smell?
Some sealants have a smell while they cure, which fades as it sets. Ventilation helps.
Does the resealing come with a guarantee?
Yes. All our work comes with a 12-month guarantee.
Do you come to KT19?
Yes. From our base in Crawley, we cover South East England, London and all of Scotland.
