Bathroom Resealing in Inver
Problem with your baths, showers and worktops in Inver? We cut out the old, prepare the joints and apply the right sealant.
- A messy, uneven bead from a previous reseal
- A reseal done over the top of the old bead
- Water getting behind the bath panel
Bathroom resealing in Inver
With over 20 years in the trade, we reseal baths, showers and kitchens in homes across Inver. We are ARBOMaster approved and fully insured, and the work comes with a 12-month guarantee. We’re often asked to deal with failed sealant on the screen profile and damp behind the bath or under the tray, across basins & vanity units, baths and kitchen worktops & upstands.
For a place like Inver, the job is the same as anywhere: everything old is cut out, the joints are cleaned and dried, and new sealant or grout goes in. We just plan the journey and access beforehand.
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover.

Keeping the joints in good condition
A little care helps the new joints last. We recommend:
- Let new sealant cure fully before it gets wet
- Avoid abrasive pads on the sealant
- Use gentle cleaners on the silicone
- Keep an eye on the corners, where splits start
Wipe up standing water along the worktop joint. The drier the joint stays, the longer it lasts.
A split bead lets water through every time the bath or shower is used. Over time that water reaches floors, walls and ceilings. Resealing early stops it.
What sealant work can’t fix
Some problems need a builder, plumber or other trade rather than us:
- A cracked shower tray or bath (that needs repair or replacement)
- Loose or hollow tiles, or failed tanking behind them
- Water coming from the plumbing rather than the joint
Not sure which it is? You can email us at info@mrmastic.co.uk and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

How we quote for bathroom resealing
We do not publish a price list, because no two jobs are the same. The quote depends on:
- How many rooms, windows or areas are involved
- Access and height
- The number and length of the joints
- Any mould that needs treating
Homes and businesses are quoted the same way: the amount of work, the access and the products needed, along with when we can work on site. Ask us for a quote and we will go through it with you.
Asking for a quote
Photos by email are helpful but not essential. Try to tell us:
- How many joints, rooms or windows are involved
- Where the job is, and your postcode
- The type of property
- Any access issues, like height or stairs
Asking for a quote is easy: let us know what needs doing and where. A few pictures by email make the job easier to understand.
Can I do it myself?
Some jobs are best left to a professional: work at height, external movement joints, fire-rated sealant and large areas need the right product, the right access and the right method.
If you do try it yourself, take your time over the preparation: take out all the old sealant, make sure the joint is clean and dry, and give it the full cure time. If it fails, we can still redo it.
How the visit works
Our applicators work methodically: protection first, then preparation, sealing and a tidy-up. For most jobs that takes a couple of hours for a single bath or shower. In smaller Scottish places, parking is usually less of an issue than access and distance. Let us know how to find you and how to reach the joints.
- We start by protecting the area and stripping out the old bead.
- We clean and degrease the joint and treat any mould.
- Once it’s dry, any bath is filled so the bead is laid with it at its heaviest.
- A single bead of anti-fungal sanitary silicone is applied and tooled smooth.
- We clear away and tell you when it can get wet, usually after around 24 hours.
How to prepare
- Keep pets and children clear of the area while we work
- Let us know about earlier repairs to the joints
- Mention any leaks or damp you’ve noticed

Why it’s worth doing now in Inver
You don’t need a new bathroom because the sealant looks bad. Replacing the joint is generally all it takes, as long as the fittings themselves are sound. If we find a deeper problem, you’ll hear it from us. When the nearest tradesperson is a drive away, it’s tempting to leave a small leak, but water behind a failed seal does the most damage when nobody’s watching.
Doing several joints on one visit generally makes better use of the time than several visits. We’ll give you a clear price for the lot.
Why choose Mr Mastic in Inver

For landlords and businesses
A neglected joint can let water reach the structure, which is a bigger problem in a rented property. Resealing at the right time is simple maintenance.
Businesses can book us for washrooms, kitchens, offices and more. For commercial premises, we can talk through working times when we quote.
Bathroom resealing around Inver
Inver is close to the coast. Coastal homes, holiday lets and guest houses can see heavy bathroom use in busy months, and sealant and grout that work that hard wear out sooner. Private landlords in Scotland must be registered and meet the Repairing Standard, which covers keeping fixtures and fittings in a reasonable state of repair. Tired, leaking sealant is worth putting right before a new tenant moves in.
If you let a flat or house near Fearn station, fresh sealant around the bath, shower and sink between tenancies helps a property present well and keeps leaks at bay. Around Inver, as everywhere, bathroom resealing is only as good as the preparation behind it.
