Why act early in Fullerton
Most of the work in a good reseal happens before any silicone goes on: removing all the old sealant, degreasing the joint, treating mould and drying it properly. Skip those steps and even the best silicone fails early. Where a wall is exposed, as many are in small places like Fullerton, wind-driven rain gets into any failed joint, and older walls, once damp, take a long time to dry.
A failed joint rarely gets cheaper to fix by waiting, because water and mould keep working on it. If you are unsure, phone 0345 464 0079 or email us and we will give you an honest view and a quote.
Why us?
- 12-month guarantee on every job
- Colour agreed with you before work begins
- Domestic, commercial and hotel work
- Anti-fungal sanitary silicone in wet areas
Bathroom resealing for homes and businesses in Fullerton
It is not only bathrooms. Worktop upstands, sink edges and splashback joints all take splashes every day, and water that gets into the back edge of a worktop can swell the board. Kitchen joints get a sealant suited to kitchens, colour-matched where it shows. We are often asked to deal with new sealant laid over old sealant that is now lifting and a bead that has pulled away from the tiles, across shower trays & enclosures, sinks & splashbacks and basins & vanity units.
Being in a small place like Fullerton makes no difference to the job itself: the journey and access are simply agreed in advance. Once we are there, the bathroom or kitchen gets the same care as anywhere else.
Each job carries a 12-month guarantee, whatever its size.

DIY versus a professional finish
If you are set on DIY, put the effort into preparation: remove every trace of old sealant, clean and dry the joint, and follow the product’s cure time. If it does not work out, we can still put it right.
Some jobs are best left to a professional: work at height, external movement joints, fire-rated sealant and large areas call for the right materials, safe access and experience.
Bathroom resealing around Fullerton
Most of the South East has hard water, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings.
If you live in an older home near Church of St Nicholas, walls and floors in older homes can move, and sealant and grout show it first.

Surface by surface
Shower trays & enclosures
Shower trays are sealed to the wall, and enclosures are sealed to the tray and tiles. Both get soaked every time the shower runs, so both are resealed with anti-fungal sanitary silicone.
Sinks & splashbacks
Splashbacks in glass, tile or acrylic meet the worktop in a long joint. It’s resealed in white, clear or a colour to suit.
Fullerton questions
Will you come out to Fullerton?
Yes. Fullerton is within the area we cover, which takes in towns, villages and rural addresses. Our work covers London and the South East. Let us know about access, parking and anything unusual about getting there when you book.
Do you cover Fullerton for bathroom resealing?
Yes, Fullerton is within the area we cover. We work across London and the South East. You can ring 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and let us know what needs doing, and we will give you a clear price.
Do you do kitchens as well as bathrooms?
Yes. The old sealant is cut out and the joint degreased, because cooking grease stops silicone sticking, then we reseal in a colour to suit.
Does someone need to be in?
We need access to the joints, so we will agree that with you when we book. For inside work, that normally means someone being in.
Are you an approved applicator?
Yes. We’re ARBOMaster approved, the scheme for applicators of Arbo sealants.
When can I use the bath or shower again?
After around 24 hours in most cases. You’ll get the exact cure time before we leave.
Can you quote for more than one area?
Yes. Just list everything you need.
Do you remove the old sealant?
Always. Sealing over old sealant is the main reason resealing fails early, and it’s something we never do.
What we can’t put right
It helps to know what we can’t do:
- A tray that rocks until it’s re-bedded
- A tray or bath that’s cracked through
- Water getting in through the grout rather than the sealant
If in doubt, call 0345 464 0079 or email us and we’ll say what we think before you book.
What we seal
- Sinks & splashbacks
- Basins & vanity units
- Kitchen worktops & upstands
- Wet rooms
- Baths
- Shower trays & enclosures
What happens on the day
We work through the job in order: protection first, then preparation, sealing and a tidy-up. For most jobs that takes around two hours for one bath or shower, longer for a whole bathroom, and the area is left clean. Somewhere like Fullerton needs a little journey planning: let us know about lanes, gates and parking. We bring what the job needs, so it can be finished in one trip where possible.
- We protect the area and cut out all of the old sealant.
- Next, the joint is cleaned and any mould is treated.
- We let it dry fully and fill the bath with water before sealing.
- New anti-fungal silicone goes on in a colour to suit and is tooled to a clean finish.
- We tidy up and give you the cure time, usually around 24 hours.
Preparing for the visit
- Mention any leaks or damp you’ve noticed
- Clear items away from the joints we’re working on
- On commercial sites, let us know about site rules

Related advice
When to call us in Fullerton
Sealant laid on a damp, dusty or greasy joint never bonds properly. Traces of soap, bath oil and old sealant stop it gripping, so a rushed job can start to lift early.
Common reasons people contact us include:
- Two layers of silicone, both failing
- A messy, uneven bead from a previous reseal
- Water escaping at the shower enclosure
- Water getting behind the kitchen upstand
Rented homes near Andover station change hands often, and a reseal between tenants is a quick way to make the bathroom and kitchen look cared for.
What your quote should include
- Are they insured?
- Which colour the sealant will be
- Is the old sealant removed completely?
- What guarantee comes with the work
What affects the cost of bathroom resealing
The price is agreed before any work begins. It’s based on:
- How easy the joints are to reach
- Any working-time requirements on site
- How much there is to do
- Whether old sealant or filler has to be cut out
Combining jobs into one visit is normally more efficient than separate visits. We’ll send you a clear quote for the lot.
