West Ham Regrouting

- Gaps where the shower grout has gone
- Greasy, stained grout behind the hob
Bathrooms and kitchens in West Ham
London has a lot of flats and conversions, and a failed shower or bath seal in one can show up on the ceiling below, so tired sealant is best dealt with early. London’s water is hard, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings.
Managing a site like West Ham Church Primary School? Then washroom and kitchen sealant there needs the same care as at home, and schools and businesses are part of our work as well as homes. West Ham is in London, so parking needs planning: tell us about permits, visitor bays or off-street space when you book. Letting a property close to West Ham station? Then stained grout drags a rental down, and regrouting between lets puts that right.

How we handle regrouting in West Ham
If you’ve been scrubbing grout that will not come clean, the stain is often in the grout itself. New grout is the fix that lasts and you can pick a different colour while you are at it. If you’re dealing with shower grout that has worn away and discoloured grout on otherwise sound tiles, we can help, whatever the surface.
London’s water is hard, so limescale builds up along sealant lines, in grout and on fittings. For a bathroom or kitchen in West Ham, getting the joints right keeps water where it belongs and the room looking clean.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there’s a problem with our work within the year, let us know and we will sort it.

Other services in West Ham
Different surfaces, different methods
Wet rooms
Regrouting a wet room helps keep water on the surface of the tiles. It can’t fix waterproofing below the tiles.
Bathroom wall tiles
Grout by the basin and bath tends to mark first. We can do part of a wall or all of it.
Can I do it myself?
The difference is mostly in the preparation and the product. We take joints back to clean, dry surfaces, and the sealant is chosen for how the joint moves and where it is, then guaranteed for a year.
Some sealant jobs are within reach of a careful DIYer, such as a straightforward joint indoors. Where it goes wrong is sealing over the old bead, working on a wet joint or overloading the gap.
Looking after it afterwards
Joint life depends on how it’s used and looked after. Here’s what we suggest:
- Use gentle cleaners on grout
- Keep harsh bleach and acid cleaners off the grout
- Give the walls a quick rinse after use
- Open a window or run the fan to clear steam
Use a gentle cleaner on the grout and a soft brush. Keep harsh bleach and acid limescale removers away from it because they wear grout away.
Fixing grout early is a small job. Left, the same problem can let water through, so get it looked at when you notice it.
Landlord and commercial work in West Ham
Mouldy or split sealant often shows up at the end of a tenancy. Several properties can go on one quote.
Water getting past a failed joint can damage the building, which matters even more when someone else lives there. Resealing at the right time is simple maintenance.
Why deal with it now?
If tiles are loose, regrouting alone is not the answer. We’ll tell you before any work starts so you know what’s involved. Where the tiles are sound, regrouting is far less disruptive than retiling. In a London flat, a failed joint rarely stays your problem alone: water can reach the neighbours below, and gaps in fire-rated joints affect the whole building.
Doing several joints on one visit normally makes better use of the time than several visits, so it’s worth mentioning everything you’d like done. You will get one clear quote for the whole job.

Your questions about regrouting in West Ham
Can you help a landlord with a rental near West Ham station?
Yes, rental work is part of what we do. You can phone 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email with the address and a few details, and we will give you a fixed price before any work starts.
Is parking an issue for regrouting in West Ham?
It can be, so it helps to tell us about permits, visitor bays or off-street space when you book. The visit is then planned around what’s available.
Do I have to be there?
That depends on where the joints are. For work indoors, someone needs to let us in, while outside work can sometimes be arranged differently.
What do you need from me for a quote?
Only a few details: where it is, what you’ve noticed and how we reach it. After that, simply ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email.
Is regrouting a chance to pick a new grout colour?
Yes. Because the old grout is raked out, the new colour goes all the way into the joint rather than sitting on top.
Will the old sealant be removed?
Yes. All of the old material is cut out and the joint cleaned.
What goes in the corners, grout or silicone?
Internal corners and edges are sealed with flexible silicone. Grout in those joints cracks as the building moves.
Will you leave a mess?
Tidy work is part of the job. We protect what’s around the joints, and we clear up when we’re done.
What we cannot put right
New sealant can’t fix everything, and we will tell you before any work starts. Sealant will not put right:
- A leaking shower valve or waste
- Cracked or broken tiles
- Loose tiles, which need refixing first
If you are not sure, just ring 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and we will give you a straight answer.

How the visit works
Before we leave, we go over the finished joints with you. The visit itself generally takes anything from a few hours to a full day, depending on the area, depending on how much there is to do. In West Ham, flats, stairs and shared entrances are part of the routine. If the building has a concierge, managing agent or access rules, tell us when you book.
- We check the tiles for any that are hollow or loose.
- The old grout is removed to an even depth.
- We vacuum the joints so the new grout bonds.
- We regrout the joints and clean the tile faces.
- We finish with silicone in the moving joints.
Before we arrive
- Let us know about earlier repairs to the joints
- On commercial sites, let us know about site rules
- Mention any tricky access
