About bathroom resealing in GU35
A bead that has gone black, split or come away is worth sorting before it lets water through. A photo of the joints helps when you phone 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email, and we will give you a clear price for bathroom resealing in GU35. We work on sinks & splashbacks, kitchen worktops & upstands and wet rooms, and people most often call us about splits where the tray meets the wall and shrunken sealant along the back of a worktop.
There’s no need to move everything out, just the space around the work. Everything nearby is protected, and the job takes two to three hours for a typical bath, depending on how much old sealant there is for a typical job.
- Protection goes down around the bath, shower or worktop.
- We cut away the old sealant and clean off what’s left.
- We treat any mould and let the joint dry properly.
- Any bath is filled with water, then we lay a bead of anti-fungal silicone in white, clear or a matching colour.
- We finish the joint, clear up and tell you how long to leave it before it gets wet.
How we quote
We do not show prices on the website, because the cost depends so much on the job itself. Call for a quick quote and we’ll talk you through it.

Where we work in GU35
Across GU35, from Bordon, Pinewood Village and Whitehill outwards, we see bathrooms and kitchens of every age. Sealant and grout wear out in all of them, whether it’s a family bathroom, a rented flat or a hotel en suite.
The South East is one of the drier parts of the UK, though outside sealant still needs a dry, clean joint, so work across GU35 is planned around the weather.
Bordon: If you look after a building such as Bordon Infant School, its toilets, changing areas and kitchens need their sealant renewed like any other building’s. For an older house near a landmark such as St Mark's Sacred Church, older homes can move a little, which is hard on rigid grout and tired sealant.
For landlords and businesses
Whether it’s one flat or a portfolio, you get the same standard of work: old sealant fully removed, joints prepared properly and a one-year guarantee.
Letting agents often deal with us directly. Send the address, what’s needed and the access arrangements.
Why act early?
A failed joint gets more costly to put right the longer it’s left. Once water is behind the bath, it can reach floorboards, panels and the ceiling underneath, turning a small job into a building repair.
Questions to ask before you book
- Is the old sealant removed completely?
- Whether VAT is included
- Who does the work, and how experienced they are
- What guarantee comes with the work
How the job changes by surface
Baths
A bath shifts slightly every time it’s filled, so we fill it with water before sealing. That way the joint is laid with the bath at its heaviest and isn’t torn the first time it’s used.
Basins & vanity units
Vanity units have long, worktop-style joints against the wall. If water gets in, the cabinet underneath can swell, so a neat, continuous bead matters.
Keeping the joints in good condition
Aftercare is simple, and it makes a real difference:
- Open a window or run the fan so the room dries
- Give the silicone its full cure time
- Dry the bead with a towel now and then
- Don’t leave water standing on kitchen joints
Clean the silicone with care: warm soapy water and a soft cloth do the job. Scourers and blades can nick the surface, and a nicked bead lets mould in sooner.
Mould that starts as a few spots spreads through the bead. When it has grown right through, it rarely cleans out. Replacing the sealant early keeps the job small.
What affects the quote in GU35
There’s no set price list, because no two jobs are the same. The quote depends on:
- Whether old sealant or filler has to be cut out
- The size of the job
- The number of rooms or windows
- When we can work, for business premises
Combining jobs into one visit usually makes better use of the time than several visits, so tell us about everything that needs sealing. We will give you a clear quote for the lot.
What to tell us for a quote
Photos by email are helpful but not essential. Please mention:
- Where the job is, and your postcode
- The type of property
- Access, such as stairs, a lift or height
- Photos by email, if that’s easy
Need a quote? Please ring 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and tell us about the job. You’ll know what we plan to do, and what it will cost, before any work begins.
GU35 questions
Do I need to be at home?
If the work is inside, we need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Which products do you use?
Each joint gets the product that suits it. Where it moves, gets wet or faces the weather makes a difference, and we will tell you what we are using.
Where is Mr Mastic based?
We are based in Crawley, West Sussex, and we work across South East England, London and Scotland.
Will it make a mess?
We keep the work tidy. We protect what’s around the joints, and the area is left clean when we finish.
How long does it take to reseal a bath or shower?
It takes two to three hours for a typical bath, depending on how much old sealant there is. You’ll know how long to expect before any work starts.
How long before the new sealant can get wet?
After around 24 hours in most cases. You’ll get the exact cure time before we leave.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
We’re happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Get your landlord’s agreement first.
