Regrouting in Brighton
Problem with your tiled areas in Brighton? We remove the old material, prepare the joints and seal them properly, with a 12-month guarantee.
- Cracked or crumbling grout lines
- Shower grout that has worn away
- Splashback grout that has darkened
About our regrouting in Brighton
We check the tiles before any grout comes out. Loose or hollow tiles are pointed out first, since new grout can’t fix a problem underneath. With sound tiles, regrouting is a tidy, lasting improvement. If you’re dealing with good tiles let down by tired grout and floor grout that has worn and darkened, we can help, on tiled floors, bathroom wall tiles and wet rooms alike.
A large town like Brighton has plenty of rented homes, and bathrooms in rentals work hard. Sorting the joints between tenancies keeps leaks at bay and makes a property easier to let.
Each job carries a 12-month guarantee, large or small.

When it is not the sealant
Honest advice matters more to us than a booking, so here’s what new sealant will not do:
- Loose tiles, which need refixing first
- Leaks from pipes, valves or wastes (a plumber’s job)
- Failed tanking or waterproofing under the tiles
Not sure which it is? You can call 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.
Joints and surfaces we work on
- Wet rooms
- Bathroom floors
- Bathroom wall tiles
- Shower walls
- Kitchen splashbacks
- Tiled floors
What happens on the day
A visit follows a simple pattern: we check the joints, mask and protect the surrounding surfaces, carry out the job and tidy away. It normally takes a few hours for a shower enclosure, longer for a whole room. For homes and businesses in busier parts of Brighton, parking needs a little planning. Let us know about stairs, lifts or shared entrances too.
- First, we check for loose or hollow tiles and point out any we find.
- We rake out the old grout to an even depth, taking care of the tile edges.
- The joints are vacuumed and cleaned.
- Fresh grout goes into the joints and the tile faces are wiped clean.
- We reseal the internal corners and edges with silicone.
Before we arrive
- Let us know if you’ve seen damp or leaks
- For indoor joints, keep the area dry beforehand if you can
- Tell us about access, such as stairs, a lift or high-level joints

Quotes for regrouting in Brighton
The price is agreed before any work begins. It takes into account:
- When we can work, for business premises
- Access and height
- How many areas need sealing
- The number and length of the joints
What it costs depends on the amount of work, how much old material has to come out and how easy the joints are to reach. We give a clear quote before we start.
What to tell us for a quote
To make quoting easier, let us know:
- What’s wrong with the joints now
- Access, such as stairs, a lift or height

- If it’s domestic, commercial or a hotel

Looking after it afterwards
So the new joints stay in good condition:
- Use a soft brush rather than a wire one
- Use gentle cleaners on grout
- Wipe water off the walls when you’re done
- Keep an eye on the silicone along the edges
Leave the area unused for as long as we advise, so it can harden properly. From then on, a quick rinse after showering helps and keep the room ventilated.
If grout in the shower is washing out, act soon. Every shower pushes more water into the gaps and it can end up in the wall or the ceiling below.
Why deal with it now?
New grout smeared over the old does not bond well. It sits thinly on top and soon flakes away, taking any repair with it. Raking out to a consistent depth gives the new grout something to hold. For businesses in Brighton, a room closed because of a leak or mould costs more than the sealant, so it pays to replace failing joints before they get that far.
There are no prices on our website, because each job is priced on what it involves. Call for a quick quote and we will talk you through it.

Regrouting around Brighton
Brighton is within about 1 mile of the coast. Near the coast, holiday lets and guest houses can see bathrooms used by one guest after another, which wears sealant and grout out faster than in a quiet home. There are hotels and other places to stay in and around Brighton. Hotel bathrooms are part of our work as well as homes, and can be done room by room.
For an older house near a landmark such as St Martin's Church, older homes can move a little, which is hard on rigid grout and tired sealant. If you look after a building such as Fairlight Primary School, its toilets, changing areas and kitchens need their sealant renewed like any other building’s. If you let a flat or house near London Road (Brighton) station, a regrout while the flat is empty is quicker than working around a tenant.

Questions from Brighton
Can you do regrouting in Brighton?
Yes. We work across London and the South East, and Brighton is part of that. Just ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email with a few details of the job, and we’ll give you a clear price.
Can you help a landlord with a rental near London Road (Brighton) station?
Yes, rental work is part of what we do. Just phone 0345 464 0079 or email us and tell us about the property, and we’ll give you a clear quote.
Where is Mr Mastic based?
We work from Crawley. Our applicators cover Brighton.
Will the old sealant be removed?
Always. Sealing over old sealant is the main reason resealing fails early, so we never do it.
Can you regrout if a few tiles are loose?
If tiles are loose, something behind them has generally failed. Grout on its own will not fix that, and we will tell you before we start.
Can you do several jobs on one visit?
Yes. Tell us about everything you’d like done and you’ll get one quote.
Is there any odour?
Sometimes, a little. It fades as the sealant cures.
Do you grout the corners?
We seal corners with silicone. They flex, and grout there cracks.
