Our bathroom resealing service in RG41
Sealant is the soft line between a bath, shower or worktop and the wall. When it splits, shrinks or turns black, water gets behind it. Our team cut the old bead out completely and lay a new one in anti-fungal sanitary silicone. We work on shower trays & enclosures, basins & vanity units and kitchen worktops & upstands, and common reasons people get in touch are a reseal done over the top of the old bead and sealant that has split, shrunk or peeled away.
Our applicators work methodically: protect, prepare, seal, tidy. Typically it takes a morning or an afternoon for most single baths and showers.
- We cover the area around the joints we’re working on.
- We cut away the old sealant and clean off what’s left.
- We treat any mould and let the joint dry properly.
- Baths are filled first, then anti-fungal sanitary silicone is applied in a colour to suit.
- We finish the joint, clear up and tell you how long to leave it before it gets wet.

Nearby too are Winnersh Primary School (0.5 miles north-east) and St Mary the Virgin (under half a mile east). There’s a railway station in Winnersh itself: Winnersh station. Bathroom resealing across RG41: local notes
In RG41, bathroom resealing takes in flats, houses, rentals and businesses, in Lower Earley, Winnersh and Woosehill and well beyond. Wherever the job is, all the old material comes out before anything new goes in.
The South East is one of the drier parts of the UK, but outdoor sealant still needs a dry day and clean surfaces, so outside work in RG41 is planned around the forecast.
Winnersh: Schools such as The Forest School are buildings too, and its toilets, changing areas and kitchens need their sealant renewed like any other building’s. If you live in an older home near St Mary the Virgin, older homes can move a little, which is hard on rigid grout and tired sealant.
Quotes for bathroom resealing in RG41
Every job gets its own quote. This is what makes a difference:
- When we can work, for business premises
- How easy the joints are to reach
- The type of sealant required
- Any mould that needs treating
Homes and businesses are quoted the same way: the amount of work, how we reach it and what it needs, along with when we can work on site. Ask us for a quote and we’ll explain what it covers.
What we need to know
Photos help, but a description is a good start. Try to tell us:
- A few pictures by email, if you can
- If someone has resealed it before
- The type of property
- Where the job is, and your postcode
The more we know about the job, the more useful the quote. Let us know the location, the problem and roughly how many joints.
Surface by surface
Shower trays & enclosures
The vertical joint where a screen profile meets the wall is a common leak point. We reseal it along with the base of the enclosure, following the enclosure maker’s guidance on which side to seal.
Sinks & splashbacks
Water getting under the rim of an inset sink can soak the worktop. We reseal the visible edge of the sink where it has failed.
Can I do it myself?
If you do try it yourself, take your time over the preparation: take out all the old sealant, make sure the joint is clean and dry, and give it the full cure time. If it does not work out, we can still put it right.
The difference is mostly in the preparation and the product. Joints are cleaned back to sound surfaces and dried, and the sealant is matched to the joint and its conditions.
Aftercare tips
After the cure time, these simple habits help:
- Use gentle cleaners on the silicone
- Keep the fan on for a while after bathing
- Let new sealant cure fully before it gets wet
- Dry worktop joints after washing up
Give the silicone time to cure before it gets wet, which is generally around 24 hours. After that, a quick wipe after showering helps keep it clean.
Worktop joints fail quietly. Splashes run behind the back edge and soak into the worktop, and the board underneath can swell. Resealing before that happens protects the worktop.
What happens if it’s left?
Sorting it now is quick: the work takes half a day or less for one room, longer when the kitchen is included. Left until water gets through, the job can grow to lifting panels, drying out and decorating.

Your questions about bathroom resealing in RG41
Where do you work from?
We work from Crawley. Our applicators cover RG41.
What should I tell you?
A short description and the location. We will ask anything else we need to know.
Are you fully insured?
Yes, we are fully insured.
Will it make a mess?
Not at all. We work neatly, protect the area around the joints and tidy up afterwards.
What sealant do you use?
Products from Arbo and Everbuild, among others, picked for each joint. We explain the product when we quote.
Can you reseal around my kitchen sink and worktop?
Yes. The old sealant is cut out and the joint degreased, because cooking grease stops silicone sticking, then we reseal in a colour to suit.
Do you cover RG41?
Yes. From our base in Crawley, we cover South East England, London and all of Scotland.
