Gutter sealing for homes and businesses in Arradoul
Failed sealant round a garage door frame lets rain blow in. We cut out the old sealant and reseal the frame using a sealant made for outdoor use. We’re often asked to deal with dripping gutter ends and internal damp traced to a gutter joint, across gutter end caps, uPVC fascias and roofline trims.
In and around a place like Arradoul, many buildings face open ground and take the full weather. Outside joints on exposed walls work hard.
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover.

Leave it or put it right?
New gutters cost far more than a few resealed joints. If the gutter is sound and the drip is a joint, resealing is the sensible fix. If it’s broken or sagging, a gutter installer needs to look. Exposed walls in smaller Scottish places take a lot of wind and rain, and damp in stone or harled walls takes a long time to dry once water gets behind a joint.
Rather than a set price list, we look at what your job involves: how many joints, what’s in them now and how we reach them. The price is agreed before we begin.

Walls and rooflines in Arradoul
Arradoul is close to the coast, where wind-driven rain is a fact of life and, nearer the shore, so is salt air. That is hard on gutter, fascia and roofline joints, especially on the side facing the sea. Under the Repairing Standard, private landlords in Scotland have to keep homes wind and watertight, and sound outside sealant is part of that.
Around Arradoul, as everywhere, gutter sealing is only as good as the preparation behind it.
Arradoul is about 1 mile south-west of Buckie, in Moray. Arradoul gets the same service as everywhere we cover: the old material taken out, joints prepared properly and a 12-month guarantee. Arradoul is one of 58 towns and villages in Moray we cover for gutter sealing. We also work in Aberdeen, about 47 miles from Arradoul.

Common problems we fix in Arradoul
When a gutter sags, its joints open. Resealing a sagging joint won’t last, so the gutter needs refixing first.
The problems people generally mention when they call include:
- Water running down the wall below the gutter
- Failed sealant on a garage door frame
- Old gutter sealant that has let go
- End caps that drip every time it rains
Managing a site like Buckie High School? Then movement joints, cladding joints and gutters on larger buildings need the same care as a house’s.
Before booking anyone
- Whether they’re fully insured
- Is the old sealant removed completely?
- How the colour is chosen
- What happens if the job turns out different
When it is not the sealant
Some problems need a builder, plumber or other trade rather than us:
- Downpipes that are blocked or broken
- Cracked, split or warped gutter sections
- Gutters that have dropped or pulled away
If you are not sure, just drop us a line at info@mrmastic.co.uk and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.
What we seal
- Gutter end caps
- Roofline trims
- Soffit joints
- Gutter joints
- uPVC fascias
- Garage door frames
What we do, step by step
Once we are on site, we check the joints match what you told us. If anything is different, we explain it before carrying on. After that, the work takes an hour or two for a few joints, longer for a full run. Outside jobs in Arradoul need a dry day, because sealant will not bond to a wet joint, so an outdoor job can move if the forecast changes. Indoor work goes ahead whatever the weather.
- We look at the gutters, fascias and trims and agree the joints to seal.
- We clean out each joint.
- We make sure everything is dry.
- The sealant is applied and finished.
- We check our work before we leave.
Getting ready for the visit
- Mention any parking rules near the property
- Clear the area around the work
- Plan for the work area to be out of bounds to pets and children
How to get a quote

What the job involves on each surface
Gutter end caps
Drips from a stop end run down the brickwork. It’s a small job to fix.
Roofline trims
We reseal trim joints with an exterior sealant suited to the material.
How to look after the new joints
Looking after new joints is easy:
- Watch for drips in a downpour
- Look for streaks or damp on the wall below gutters
- Make sure downpipes aren’t blocked
- Keep the gutters clear of debris
If a gutter starts to sag, get the brackets looked at. Movement will pull the joints open again.
Split sealant on fascias and trims lets water in behind. Resealing early protects the boards and the wall below.
