- Leaking joints on a shower screen
- A messy, uneven bead from a previous reseal
- Two layers of silicone, both failing
Bathroom resealing for homes and businesses in Liphook
A reseal only lasts if the joint is properly prepared. Every bit of old silicone comes out, down to the thin film left on the tiles, then the joint is cleaned, degreased and treated for mould. New silicone goes on only when the joint is fully dry. If you have damp behind the bath or under the tray and gaps where the bath or tray has moved, we can help, on baths, shower trays & enclosures and basins & vanity units alike.
In a smaller place like Liphook, homes are mostly houses and bungalows rather than flats, from older cottages to newer builds. Bathrooms and kitchens here get the same daily wear as anywhere, and the sealant and grout show it first.
A 12-month guarantee comes as standard, so you are not left on your own once the job is done.

Leave it or put it right?
Dealing with sealant early is a short job: the work takes a couple of hours for one bath or shower, or most of a day for a full bathroom and kitchen. Wait for a leak and you may be looking at panels off, drying out and redecorating too. Homes in smaller places like Liphook can face more weather, and failed outside joints let damp into walls. Inside, a split seal lets water into floors and panels just as it would anywhere.
Homes and businesses are quoted the same way: how much there is to do, how we reach it and what it needs. Ask us for a quote and we will explain what it covers.

DIY sealant or a professional job?
Too much sealant is as bad as too little. A heavy bead looks messy and copes badly with movement, and getting the depth right matters as much as the look.
A DIY attempt does not rule out a professional job. We remove it and do the joint properly.
Work for landlords, hotels and businesses
We work for landlords and letting agents as well as homeowners. Sealant work between tenants keeps a property looking cared for.
If you manage several properties in or around Liphook, jobs at different addresses can go on one quote. Just tell us the addresses and what each one needs.
Different surfaces, different methods
Sinks & splashbacks
Splashbacks in glass, tile or acrylic meet the worktop in a long joint. It’s resealed in white, clear or a colour to suit.
Kitchen worktops & upstands
Water behind a laminate worktop can make the edge swell. A continuous bead along the back keeps water out, as long as the worktop itself is firmly fixed.
Liphook homes and their sealant
Hard water is the norm across most of the South East, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings, and it has to be cleaned off before new sealant goes in. There are hotels and other places to stay in and around Liphook. Hotel bathrooms are part of our work as well as homes, and can be done room by room.
Homes close to St Mary's Church Centre include some older properties, and bathrooms in older houses have often been refitted more than once, with sealant laid over sealant. Rented homes near Liphook station change hands often, and a reseal between tenants is a quick way to make the bathroom and kitchen look cared for. Managing a site like Bohunt School? Then we reseal washrooms and kitchens in schools and businesses as well as homes.

Liphook questions
Will you come out to Liphook?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. Our work covers London and the South East. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the route when you book.
I let a flat near Liphook station. Can you help?
Yes, we work for letting agents and landlords. Just ring 0345 464 0079 or email us and tell us about the property, and we’ll send you a clear quote.
Do you guarantee your resealing?
Yes. We give a 12-month guarantee on every job, and we are ARBOMaster approved applicators.
Will you leave a mess?
Not at all. The area is protected while we work and cleaned up afterwards.
How much does bathroom resealing cost in Liphook?
It depends on the job, so we quote each one individually. To get one, phone 0345 464 0079 or email us and let us know what needs doing and where.
Do I need to be at home?
It depends on the job. Inside work needs someone to give us access.
Should I try DIY first?
Some simple jobs can be done by a careful DIYer. Most DIY failures come from sealing over old material, wet joints or too much sealant.
Is white the only colour available?
There’s a choice: white, clear and colours to suit tiles and worktops. We can help you pick when we quote.
Looking after it afterwards
Joint life depends on how it’s used and looked after. Here’s what we suggest:
- Run the extractor fan during and after every shower
- Never pick at the silicone with a blade
- Wipe up water along the back of the worktop
- Wait for the cure time we give you
Keep water off the new bead until it has cured, which is usually around 24 hours. After that, a quick wipe after showering helps keep it clean.
Each shower pushes a little more water through a failed joint. Over time that water reaches floors, walls and ceilings. Early resealing closes the gap before damage is done.
When it is not the sealant
Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits:
- Leaks from a shower valve, waste or pipework (a plumber’s job)
- Cracked or missing grout between tiles (that is regrouting)
- Damage behind the tiles that needs a tiler
Not sure which it is? You can phone 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.
What we seal
- Kitchen worktops & upstands
- Wet rooms
- Sinks & splashbacks
- Basins & vanity units
- Baths
- Shower trays & enclosures
What happens on the day
Before we leave, we go over the finished joints with you and explain the cure time. The work normally takes around two hours for one bath or shower, longer for a whole bathroom, depending on the size of the job. Parking around Liphook is usually easier than in a town centre, but mention any lanes, gates or long drives. For outside work, side access and the height of the joints help us plan.
- Protection goes down around the bath, shower or worktop.
- Old sealant is sliced away and the residue removed.
- We treat any mould and let the joint dry properly.
- Any bath is filled with water, then we lay a bead of anti-fungal silicone in white, clear or a matching colour.
- The joint is finished neatly and we explain when it can get wet.
Getting ready for the visit
- Clear the area around the work
- Tell us about any water getting in
- Where the joints are inside, avoid wetting them before we arrive
