Do you need bathroom resealing in Farnborough?
Silicone doesn’t last for ever. Daily water, heat and cleaning products take their toll over the years, so its life depends on how the room is used, cleaned and aired.
These are the problems we’re asked about most:
- A reseal done over the top of the old bead
- Leaking joints on a shower screen
- Cracked, shrunken or lifting silicone
- Black spots spreading through the bead
Schools such as Tower Hill Primary School are buildings too, and its toilets, changing areas and kitchens need their sealant renewed like any other building’s.
What your quote should include
- How much experience the applicator has
- How the surfaces are prepared before sealing
- Are they insured?
- Is VAT in the price?
Bathroom resealing in Farnborough, done properly
Resealing is a small job that makes a big difference. Black, patchy sealant makes clean tiles look tired, and a neat new joint puts that right in a short visit. It also seals the gaps that let water behind the bath. If you have lumpy, uneven sealant from a DIY attempt and black mould in the silicone that won’t clean off, we can put it right.
Around Farnborough, it’s mostly busy family bathrooms and kitchens, which is hard on sealant and grout. Black mould along the bath, a lifting bead by the sink or crumbling grout in the shower are the usual signs.
Big or small, you get the same 12-month guarantee in Farnborough and across Hampshire.

Work for landlords, hotels and businesses
Letting agents often deal with us directly. Send the address, what’s needed and the access arrangements.
Hotels need rooms back in use, so the work can be planned room by room. Hotel work is part of what we do, alongside homes and businesses.
Surface by surface
Wet rooms
Wet room floors move slightly as they’re used, so the internal corners need silicone rather than grout. Where grout in a corner has cracked, we can replace it with sealant.
Basins & vanity units
Basin joints are short and close to eye level: the bead is right in front of you, so it’s tooled cleanly and evenly, finished in a colour that suits the basin.
The process
We bring everything the job needs with us. Once we’ve agreed what’s being done, the area is protected and the work begins. Most jobs take a couple of hours for a single bath or shower. A visit in Farnborough needs access to the work and a place to park close by. If the job is outside, mention gates, side access and anything above ground floor.
- Protection goes down around the bath, shower or worktop.
- We cut away the old sealant and clean off what’s left.
- Mould is treated, then the joint is left to dry thoroughly.
- Baths are filled first, then anti-fungal sanitary silicone is applied in a colour to suit.
- The joint is finished neatly and we explain when it can get wet.
Before we arrive
- Clear items away from the joints we’re working on
- Keep children and pets away from the work area
- Let us know about stairs, lifts or work at height

FAQs for Farnborough
Is bathroom resealing in Farnborough guaranteed?
All our work, in Farnborough and everywhere else, comes with a 12-month guarantee. We are fully insured, and an ARBOMaster approved applicator.
Do you cover Farnborough for bathroom resealing?
Yes. We work across London and the South East, and Farnborough is part of that. Just call 0345 464 0079 or email us with a few details of the job.
Do I need to be at home?
We need access to the joints, so we’ll agree that with you when we book. Indoors, that generally means someone at home.
When can I use the bath or shower again?
Around 24 hours is typical, and we confirm the time for the product used. Getting it wet too early can spoil the new joint.
Is it messy?
Not at all. We work neatly, protect the area around the joints and tidy up afterwards.
Can I choose the colour of the sealant?
White, clear and a range of colours are available. On a worktop we colour-match where the joint shows.
How long does a bath or shower reseal take?
A single bath or shower takes about a couple of hours, including cutting out the old sealant. A whole bathroom plus the kitchen may take most of the day.
Do the sealants smell?
Possibly a little. Any smell clears as the sealant cures.
Why it’s worth doing now in Farnborough
A quick bead over the top of the old one might look better for a while, but it cannot stick to what’s underneath. It lifts, traps water and grows mould behind it. Around Farnborough, failed sealant lets water into hidden places, such as under the floor, behind a panel or into a wall. Left alone, that means rot, damp and a bigger repair.
Combining jobs into one visit generally makes better use of the time than several visits, so tell us about everything that needs sealing. We will give you a clear price for the lot.

How to look after the new joints
How long the joints last depends on use and care. Here’s what we suggest:
- Dry worktop joints after washing up
- Keep the fan on for a while after bathing
- Clean with a mild bathroom cleaner and a soft cloth
- Let new sealant cure fully before it gets wet
Mould needs damp, so keep the room aired. Use the fan, or open a window, while you bathe and for a while afterwards, so the bead dries out between uses.
Worktop joints fail quietly. Water gets behind the upstand and into the edge of a laminate worktop, and the board underneath can swell. A reseal in time can save the worktop.
