Bathroom & kitchen resealing in Cove, Hampshire
Bathroom resealing in Cove from a team with over 20 years’ experience. 180+ five-star Google reviews and a 4.9 rating.
- A joint torn by a bath that flexes
- Water getting behind the kitchen upstand
- Sealant that has split, shrunk or peeled away
Leave it or put it right?
A failed joint gets more costly to put right the longer it’s left. Water that gets behind a bath soaks into the floor, the panel and sometimes the ceiling below, and that’s a far bigger job than a reseal. Homes in smaller places like Cove can face more weather, and failed outside joints let damp into walls. Inside, a split seal lets water into floors and panels just as it would anywhere.
We don’t show prices on the website, because the cost depends so much on the job itself. Call for a quick quote.

Bathroom resealing in Cove
Homes in Cove have the same weak spots as anywhere else: bath edges, tray joints, basin backs and kitchen upstands. Every joint is cut out, cleaned and left dry before it’s resealed. We are often asked to deal with water getting behind the bath panel and shrunken sealant along the back of a worktop, on wet rooms, sinks & splashbacks and kitchen worktops & upstands.
In and around Cove, older properties sit alongside newer ones. In older homes, walls and floors can move a little more, so the right flexible sealant matters.

Bathrooms and kitchens in Cove
Most of the South East has hard water, which leaves limescale on sealant, grout and fittings, and it has to be cleaned off before new sealant goes in. There are hotels and other places to stay in and around Cove. As well as homes, we work in hotel bathrooms, where resealing and regrouting can be done room by room.
Rented homes near Fleet station change hands often, and mouldy sealant is one of the first things a new tenant notices, so it’s worth renewing between lets. If you live in an older home near St John the Baptist, walls and floors in older homes can move, and sealant and grout show it first.

Do you need bathroom resealing in Cove?
Mould is the reason many people want their sealant replaced. Bathrooms without good ventilation give mould all the damp it needs, and once it has grown into the bead, cleaning rarely gets it out.
It’s worth asking for a quote if you see:
- A reseal done over the top of the old bead
- Damp behind the bath or under the tray
- Smears of silicone across the tiles
- Failed sealant on the screen profile
For site and facilities teams at buildings such as Parsonage Farm Nursery and Infant School, we reseal washrooms and kitchens in schools and businesses as well as homes.
What to look for in a quote
- Which sealant they’ll use, and why
- How much experience the applicator has
- What insurance they hold
- When the joint can take water or movement
DIY versus a professional finish
What a professional job adds is preparation and the right product. We take joints back to clean, dry surfaces, and the sealant is chosen for how the joint moves and where it is, and the work is guaranteed for a year.
Too much sealant is as bad as too little. A thick, smeared bead looks untidy and does not move well, and the joint depth matters as much as the finish.
What affects the cost of bathroom resealing
The quote reflects the job in front of us. We look at:
- The old material and how stubborn it is
- The amount of work
- Working hours on commercial sites
- Whether there’s mould to deal with
What it costs depends on the size of the job, how much old material has to come out and how easy the joints are to reach. We give a clear quote before we start, so you know where you stand.
Helping us quote
Photos by email are helpful but not essential. Please mention:
- The type of property
- How many joints, rooms or windows are involved
- Access, such as stairs, a lift or height
- Photos by email, if that’s easy
Call for a quick quote, or send an email if you’d rather. Describe what needs sealing and we will explain what’s involved.
Landlord and commercial work in Cove
In hotels, rooms out of use cost money, so the work can be planned room by room. We’ve worked in hotels as well as homes and businesses.
For anyone letting property in or around Cove, several properties can be quoted together. Just tell us the addresses and what each one needs.
What the job involves on each surface
Sinks & splashbacks
Where a splashback meets the worktop, there’s a joint that catches every splash. It’s resealed in white, clear or a colour to suit.
Wet rooms
In a wet room, the joints between floor and walls take standing water. They’re resealed with anti-fungal sanitary silicone, working on the surface joints, not the tanking or drainage.
Cove questions
I let a flat near Fleet station. Can you help?
Yes, we work for landlords and letting agents. You can phone 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email with the address and a few details, and we will give you a fixed price before we start.
Will you come out to Cove?
Yes. Cove is within the area we cover, which takes in towns, villages and rural addresses. We work across London and the South East. Let us know about access, parking and anything unusual about getting there when you book.
Do you take out the old sealant first?
Yes. All of the old material is cut out and the joint cleaned.
Will there be a smell?
Some sealants have a smell while they cure, but it fades. Ventilation helps.
Can you quote for more than one area?
Of course. Combining jobs makes good use of the visit.
What colours of sealant can you use?
There’s a choice: white, clear and colours to suit tiles and worktops. We’ll talk it through when we quote.
Do you guarantee your resealing?
Yes. Every job carries our 12-month guarantee, and we’re fully insured.
How long does the new silicone need before I use the shower?
Usually after around 24 hours. You’ll get the exact cure time before we leave.
What we do, step by step
We keep the work tidy and contained to the joints we’re treating, so you can get on with your day. Expect the work to take half a day or less for one room, longer when the kitchen is included, and we tell you how long to leave it before we go. A visit to Cove is planned like any other: the time, the access and where to park are agreed in advance. If the work is outside, the weather plays a part, as sealant needs a dry surface.
- We protect the area and cut out all of the old sealant.
- Next, the joint is cleaned and any mould is treated.
- We let it dry fully and fill the bath with water before sealing.
- A single bead of anti-fungal sanitary silicone is applied and tooled smooth.
- We clear away and tell you when it can get wet, usually after around 24 hours.
How to prepare
- Clear the area around the work
- Mention any sign-in or site rules at work premises
- Mention any parking rules near the property
