Milland Bathroom Resealing
We cover Milland for bath, shower, basin, wet room, worktop and sink resealing. Old material cut out, joints cleaned and sealed neatly.
- A messy, uneven bead from a previous reseal
- Splits where the tray meets the wall
- Black spots spreading through the bead
Bathroom resealing for homes and businesses in Milland
A fresh bead of silicone changes how a bathroom looks more than most people expect. Mouldy silicone makes even a new bathroom look neglected, and a clean white or clear joint fixes it quickly. Just as important, it closes the gaps water would otherwise get through. If you have gaps between the worktop and the wall and black mould in the silicone that won’t clean off, we can help, on baths, sinks & splashbacks and kitchen worktops & upstands alike.
For a small place like Milland, bathroom resealing is planned like any other job: it just means planning the journey and access beforehand. Once we’re there, the bathroom or kitchen gets the same care as anywhere else.
All our work comes with our 12-month guarantee.

Quotes for bathroom resealing in Milland
Jobs vary more than people expect. What affects the quote:
- Whether the work is at height
- The old material and how stubborn it is
- How many rooms, windows or areas are involved
- Mould in or behind the old joints
A few things move the cost up or down: the old material and how easily it comes out, whether mould needs treating, and whether we need extra access for height. We take all of that into account in your quote.
Asking for a quote
A few details help us give you an accurate quote. When you get in contact, it helps to mention:
- The rough size of the job
- If someone has resealed it before
- What the problem is, such as mould, gaps, leaks or cracking
- Where the job is, and your postcode
For a quick quote, get us on the phone, or send an email if you’d rather. Describe what needs sealing and we will explain what’s involved and give you a clear quote.
Milland questions
I let a flat near Liphook station. Can you help?
Yes, we work for landlords and letting agents. You can call 0345 464 0079 or send us an email with the address and a few details, and we will give you a fixed price before work begins.
Is Milland within the area you cover?
Yes, Milland is covered. Our work covers London and the South East, and smaller places are part of that. The journey is planned ahead, so it helps to know about access.
Where do you work from?
Our base is Crawley, with over 20 years’ experience. We work across South East England, London and Scotland.
How long does the new silicone need before I use the shower?
Silicone is touch-dry quite quickly, but it takes longer to cure. Keep water off it for around 24 hours, or as long as we advise for that product.
Is white the only colour available?
Most people choose white or clear, and other colours are available to suit tiles, trays and worktops. Let us know your preference when you ask for a quote.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes. We give a 12-month guarantee on every job, and we’re ARBOMaster approved applicators.
Are you an approved applicator?
Yes. We hold ARBOMaster approved applicator status, and we are fully insured.
Do you work for hotels and businesses?
Yes. We work in offices, washrooms, hotels and other commercial premises, as well as homes. Working times can be discussed when we quote.
How to look after the new joints
How long the joints last depends on use and care. We suggest:
- Avoid abrasive pads on the sealant
- Run the extractor fan during and after every shower
- Clean with a mild bathroom cleaner and a soft cloth
- Squeegee the walls and tray after use
Keep bottles and razors off the sealant line, because they trap water against the silicone. Squeegeeing the walls and tray after use helps the joint dry.
Small signs come before a leak: lifting ends, gaps, dark shadows under the bead or a stain downstairs. Any of these means the joint needs attention.
What happens on the day
At the end, we look at the finished work together and tell you how long to leave it. The visit itself normally takes a morning or an afternoon for most single baths and showers, depending on the amount of work. Somewhere as small as Milland, access is often the only tricky part. If the job is outside, mention outbuildings, exposed walls and how to reach them.
- Protection goes down around the bath, shower or worktop.
- Old sealant is sliced away and the residue removed.
- We treat any mould and let the joint dry properly.
- Any bath is filled with water, then we lay a bead of anti-fungal silicone in white, clear or a matching colour.
- We finish the joint, clear up and tell you how long to leave it before it gets wet.
Before we arrive
- Clear the area around the work
- Keep children and pets away from the work area
- Tell us if parking is tricky

Advice
Can I do it myself?
A DIY attempt doesn’t rule out a professional job. We cut it out and start again, so tell us about it when you ask for a quote.
Not every job suits DIY: high-level joints, fire-rated gaps, external movement joints and big jobs need the right product, the right access and the right method.
Landlord and commercial work in Milland
We also work for businesses, from offices to washrooms and kitchens. On commercial sites, working times can be discussed when we quote.
If you manage several properties in or around Milland, several properties can be quoted together. Just tell us the addresses and what each one needs.
Bathrooms and kitchens in Milland
Hard water is the norm across most of the South East, which leaves limescale on sealant, grout and fittings.
Schools such as Hollycombe Primary School are buildings too, and its toilets, changing areas and kitchens need their sealant renewed like any other building’s. For landlords with property near Liphook station, mouldy sealant is one of the first things a new tenant notices, so it’s worth renewing between lets.

What we’re called out for in Milland
Mould is the reason many people want their sealant replaced. Steamy rooms that don’t dry out keep the silicone damp for hours, and mould that has grown into the silicone normally won’t clean off.
These are the problems we’re asked about most:
- Water getting behind the bath panel
- Lumpy, uneven sealant from a DIY attempt
- A reseal done over the top of the old bead
- Splits where the tray meets the wall
For an older house near a landmark such as Tuxlith Chapel, older homes can move a little, which is hard on rigid grout and tired sealant.
What your quote should include
- Whether they seal over old material or remove it
- Is VAT in the price?
- What the cure time is
- What happens if they find a problem under the old sealant

What else we do in Milland
Why deal with it now?
A failed joint gets more costly to put right the longer it’s left. Water that gets behind a bath soaks into the floor, the panel and sometimes the ceiling below, and that is a far bigger job than a reseal. In a small place like Milland, homes can be exposed to wind and rain, which finds any gap, and damp in older walls is slow to dry out.
What you pay reflects the work, not guesswork. That is why we ask about the job first and give you a clear quote before work begins.
