Questions from Chithurst
Is Chithurst in your area for bathroom resealing?
Yes. We work across London and the South East, and Chithurst is part of that. You can call 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and tell us what needs doing.
Is Chithurst within the area you cover?
Yes. Chithurst is within the area we cover, which takes in towns, villages and rural addresses. Our work covers London and the South East. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the route when you book.
Is there any odour?
Possibly a little. It fades as the sealant cures.
What do you put in the joint?
It depends on the joint: sanitary silicone where it gets wet, and sealants suited to movement or weather elsewhere. We use products from Arbo and Everbuild.
Can I do it myself?
For a simple, easy-to-reach joint, a careful DIYer can do a reasonable job. Most DIY failures come from sealing over old material, wet joints or too much sealant.
How long does it take to reseal a bath or shower?
It takes half a day or less for one room, longer when the kitchen is included. You’ll know how long to expect before work begins.
Is it messy?
Not at all. The area is protected while we work and cleaned up afterwards.
Do you remove the old sealant?
Yes. We cut out all the old sealant and clean the joint before resealing.
How we handle bathroom resealing in Chithurst
It isn’t only bathrooms. Worktop upstands, sink edges and splashback joints all take splashes every day, and water that gets into the back edge of a worktop can swell the board. Kitchen joints get a sealant suited to kitchens, colour-matched where it shows. We’re often asked to deal with gaps between the worktop and the wall and smears of silicone across the tiles, across kitchen worktops & upstands, shower trays & enclosures and basins & vanity units.
Around Chithurst, it’s houses and cottages rather than flats, some with bathrooms tucked into older rooms or extensions. Sealant and grout wear out here just as they do anywhere: old material cut out, joints cleaned and a fresh finish laid.
Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by our one-year guarantee in Chithurst and across Hampshire.

Bathroom resealing in Chithurst: local notes
Hard water is the norm across most of the South East, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings.
For an older house near a landmark such as Chithurst Church, older homes can move a little, which is hard on rigid grout and tired sealant. For landlords with property near Liphook station, a reseal between tenants is a quick way to make the bathroom and kitchen look cared for. Schools such as Stedham Primary School are buildings too, and washroom and kitchen sealant there needs the same care as at home, and schools and businesses are part of our work as well as homes.

What else we do in Chithurst
Landlord and commercial work in Chithurst
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, what’s needed and the access arrangements and we’ll quote.
Letting agents and landlords in Chithurst can book us as well as householders. Resealing between tenancies keeps a property looking cared for before the next move-in.
Leave it or put it right?
Mould removers can fade the surface of a stained bead, but mould that has grown into the sealant tends to return. Cutting it out and resealing with anti-fungal silicone is the fix that lasts. Older cottages and farmhouses around Chithurst can have timber floors and frames, and water through a failed joint can rot timber if it’s left.
Some things make a job bigger or smaller: the old material and how easily it comes out, whether mould needs treating, and whether we need extra access for height. We take all of that into account in your quote.
Why us?
- Domestic, commercial and hotel work
- Colour agreed with you before work begins
- White, clear, grey or coloured to suit, where the product allows
- Tidy, careful work
What the job involves on each surface
Wet rooms
If a wet room leaks, the cause may be the tanking or the drain rather than the joints. We check the joints and say so if the fault looks to be elsewhere.
Basins & vanity units
A vanity top has a joint along the wall and sometimes at the sides. Water that gets behind can damage the unit, so the joint is sealed in one unbroken line.
What affects the quote in Chithurst
Every job gets its own quote. This is what makes a difference:
- Any mould that needs treating
- Any working-time requirements on site
- The number of rooms or windows
- The type of sealant required
Doing several joints on one visit is normally more efficient than separate visits, so tell us about everything that needs sealing. We will send you a clear quote for the lot.
Asking for a quote
There’s no need for technical detail. It helps if you can tell us:
- Any access issues, like height or stairs
- If someone has resealed it before
- Where the job is, and your postcode
- Pictures of the joints, sent by email
To get a quote, ring 0345 464 0079 or email us with the location and a short description of the problem. You’ll have a clear quote before work begins.
When something else is needed
Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits too:
- Movement from a bath with loose feet or no proper support
- A leaking waste, trap or valve
- A cracked shower tray or bath (that needs repair or replacement)
If you are not sure, just call 0345 464 0079 or email us and we’ll give you a straight answer.

What we do, step by step
Before we leave, we go over the finished joints with you and explain the cure time. The work normally takes a couple of hours for one bath or shower, or most of a day for a full bathroom and kitchen, depending on the size of the job. For a village or hamlet like Chithurst, the journey is planned in advance: let us know about lanes, gates and parking. Everything for the job comes with us, so a second trip is avoided where possible.
- We start by protecting the area and stripping out the old bead, including the film left on the tiles.
- Next, the joint is cleaned and any mould is treated.
- Once it’s dry, any bath is filled so the bead is laid with it at its heaviest.
- New anti-fungal silicone goes on in a colour to suit and is tooled to a clean finish.
- We clear away and tell you when it can get wet, generally after around 24 hours.
Before we arrive
- Clear the area around the work
- Keep children and pets away from the work area
- Try not to wet indoor joints just before the visit

Advice
Should I try it myself first?
Not every job suits DIY: high-level joints, fire-rated gaps, external movement joints and big jobs need the right product, the right access and the right method.
The difference is mostly in the preparation and the product. We take joints back to clean, dry surfaces, and the sealant is chosen for how the joint moves and where it is.
