Ebernoe Bathroom Resealing
Problem with your baths, showers and worktops in Ebernoe? We cut out the old, prepare the joints and apply the right sealant, with a one-year guarantee.
- Shrunken sealant along the back of a worktop
- Black spots spreading through the bead
- Two layers of silicone, both failing
Bathroom resealing in Ebernoe, done properly
Kitchens need the same care as bathrooms. Worktop upstands, sink edges and splashback joints all take splashes every day, and water that gets into the back edge of a worktop can swell the board. Kitchen joints get a sealant suited to kitchens, colour-matched where it shows. Common call-outs are for a joint torn by a bath that flexes and lumpy, uneven sealant from a DIY attempt, on sinks & splashbacks, shower trays & enclosures and baths.
Around Ebernoe, it’s houses and cottages rather than flats, some with bathrooms tucked into older rooms or extensions. The work is the same as anywhere: everything old comes out before the new sealant or grout goes in.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something is not right with it in that time, tell us and we’ll put it right.

Ebernoe: your questions answered
Is there a guarantee on bathroom resealing in Ebernoe?
All our work, in Ebernoe and everywhere else, comes with a 12-month guarantee. We’re also fully insured and ARBOMaster approved.
Do you cover smaller places like Ebernoe?
Yes, we do. We work across London and the South East, and smaller places are part of that. The journey is planned ahead, so it helps to know about access.
How long does the new silicone need before I use the shower?
Generally after around 24 hours. You’ll get the exact cure time before we leave.
What do you put in the joint?
The product depends on the job: anti-fungal sanitary silicone in wet areas, and other sealants where joints move or face the weather. Brands we use include Arbo and Everbuild.
Where are you based?
We work from Crawley. We cover Ebernoe and the rest of West Sussex.
What information do you need?
Where the job is, what the problem is and roughly how big it is. Photos by email help too.
What does bathroom resealing cost?
It depends on the job, so we quote each one individually. For a quick quote, call 0345 464 0079 or email us with a short description of the job.
Are you insured?
Yes. We are fully insured, with over 20 years’ experience in sealant work.
What we do, step by step
When we get to you, we check the joints match what you told us. If anything is different, we explain it before carrying on. After that, the work takes half a day or less for one room, longer when the kitchen is included. Somewhere like Ebernoe needs a little journey planning: let us know about lanes, gates and parking. Everything for the job comes with us, so a second trip is avoided where possible.
- Protection goes down around the bath, shower or worktop.
- Old sealant is sliced away and the residue removed.
- Mould is treated, then the joint is left to dry thoroughly.
- Baths are filled first, then anti-fungal sanitary silicone is applied in a colour to suit.
- We finish the joint, clear up and tell you how long to leave it before it gets wet.
Preparing for the visit
- Clear items away from the joints we’re working on
- Mention any parking rules near the property
- Let us know about stairs, lifts or work at height
How to get a quote
It all starts with a short chat. Tell us what’s wrong, where it is and how much there is, and we will explain how we’d tackle it. When it suits you, call 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email.

Work for landlords, hotels and businesses
Letting agents often deal with us directly. Tell us the address, the job and how access works and we’ll quote.
We work for landlords and agents as well as homeowners. Resealing between tenancies is a simple way to keep a property in good order before the next move-in.
What affects the cost of bathroom resealing
For a quick quote, just ask. The main things that affect it are:
- The size of the job
- Which sealant suits the joint
- Working hours on commercial sites
- The number of rooms or windows
Some things make a job bigger or smaller: how much old sealant there is and how stubborn it is, any mould to treat, and whether we need extra access for height. We take all of that into account in your quote.
Asking for a quote
The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote. When you get in contact, it helps to mention:
- Where the property is
- Any access issues, like height or stairs
- Any previous sealing or DIY work
- Photos by email, if that’s easy
The more we know about the job, the more useful the quote. Tell us where the job is, what’s wrong and how much there is, and email photos if that is easy.
Different surfaces, different methods
Kitchen worktops & upstands
Kitchen joints need more degreasing than bathroom ones, because cooking grease stops sealant bonding. The extra cleaning is what makes the bead last.
Shower trays & enclosures
The vertical joint where a screen profile meets the wall is a common leak point. It’s resealed along with the tray joints, following the enclosure maker’s guidance on which side to seal.
When it isn’t the sealant
Some problems need a builder, plumber or other trade rather than us:
- A cracked shower tray or bath (that needs repair or replacement)
- A tray that rocks until it’s re-bedded
- Leaks from a shower valve, waste or pipework (a plumber’s job)
If you are not sure, just phone 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

Leave it or put it right?
Mould removers can fade the surface of a stained bead, but mould that has grown into the sealant tends to return. The lasting answer is to remove the bead and start again. Where a wall is exposed, as many are in small places like Ebernoe, wind-driven rain gets into any failed joint, and damp in older walls is slow to dry out.
There are no prices on our website, because the cost depends so much on the job itself. For a quick quote, please ring 0345 464 0079 or email us and we will talk you through it.

How to look after the new joints
So the new joints stay in good condition:
- Never pick at the silicone with a blade
- Do not leave water standing on kitchen joints
- Keep the fan on for a while after bathing
- Wipe the sealant dry after showering
Do not stand bottles along the bead, as they hold water against it. A quick squeegee after showering helps the joint dry.
Worktop joints fail quietly. Water gets behind the upstand and into the edge of a laminate worktop, and the board underneath can swell. A reseal in time can save the worktop.
Bathroom resealing around Ebernoe
Hard water is the norm across most of the South East, which leaves limescale on sealant, grout and fittings.
In and around Ebernoe, as anywhere, good bathroom resealing starts with a clean, dry, properly prepared joint. In the older streets around Holy Trinity Church, walls and floors in older homes can move, and sealant and grout show it first.
