Regrouting in Ebernoe, West Sussex
Regrouting in Ebernoe from a team with over 20 years’ experience. Rated 4.9 on Google from 180+ five-star reviews.
- Cracked grout along the bath or tray
- Grout in a colour the owner wants to change
- Grout stained black or orange that will not clean
Why act early in Ebernoe
It’s tempting to fill a few cracks yourself, but patched grout rarely matches the rest, and the old grout keeps failing around them. Doing the full area gives you one colour and sound joints throughout. In a small place like Ebernoe, homes can be exposed to wind and rain, which finds any gap, and older walls, once damp, take a long time to dry.
Doing several joints on one visit usually makes better use of the time than several visits, so tell us about everything that needs sealing. You’ll get one clear quote for the whole job.
Why book with us
- 180+ five-star Google reviews
- Old sealant always removed completely
- Neat joints and a tidy finish
- Anti-fungal sanitary silicone in wet areas
How we handle regrouting in Ebernoe
We take the old grout out to a consistent depth, taking care not to chip the tile edges. The joints are then vacuumed, regrouted and cleaned off, and the corners get fresh silicone. We work on bathroom floors, wet rooms and tiled floors, and the jobs we see most are floor grout that has worn and darkened and kitchen splashback grout stained by grease.
Somewhere as small as Ebernoe, homes tend to be cottages, farmhouses or converted buildings, with some newer houses too. Older walls and timber floors can move a little, and cracked grout and split sealant are often the first signs.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. If there’s a problem with it, please phone 0345 464 0079 or send us an email.

What we are called out for in Ebernoe
Harsh cleaners and scrubbing wear grout away. Some bleaches and acid descalers break grout down over time, leaving the joints sunken and rough.
Look out for any of the following:
- Grout in corners that has cracked
- Floor grout that has worn and darkened
- Stained grout that cleaning won’t shift
- Shower grout that has worn away
Around Ebernoe, as everywhere, regrouting is only as good as the preparation behind it.
What your quote should include
- What the cure time is
- The length of the guarantee
- Is VAT in the price?
- Whether they’re fully insured
Different surfaces, different methods
Shower walls
Most regrouting jobs include a shower. Cracked or missing grout here lets water behind the tiles.
Wet rooms
New grout in a wet room keeps the surface sound. It can’t fix waterproofing below the tiles.
What affects the quote in Ebernoe
For a quick quote, just ask. What matters most is:
- The number of rooms or windows
- The number and length of the joints
- Any working-time requirements on site
- Whether there’s mould to deal with
Homes and businesses are quoted the same way: the amount of work, the access and the products needed, along with when we can work on site. Call for a quick quote and we will explain what it covers.
What to tell us for a quote
Photos help, but a description is a good start. Try to tell us:
- Photos by email, if that’s easy
- The problem you’ve noticed
- Whether it has been sealed before
- How many joints, rooms or windows are involved
Need a quote? Please call 0345 464 0079 or send us an email with a few details. We will explain what we’d do and send you a clear quote before we start.
The process
We bring everything the job needs with us, so you don’t need to buy or prepare anything. Once we have agreed what’s being done, we protect the area and start. It normally takes a few hours, or longer for a fully tiled room. Somewhere like Ebernoe needs a little journey planning: let us know about lanes, gates and parking. We bring what the job needs, so it can be finished in one trip where possible.
- We agree the area to be regrouted and point out any loose tiles.
- We remove the old grout carefully.
- The joints are cleaned out and vacuumed.
- We grout the joints and wipe the tiles clean.
- We renew the silicone at the corners and edges.
Before we arrive
- Mention any leaks or damp you’ve noticed
- Move anything stored near the joints
- Tell us about access, such as stairs, a lift or high-level joints
How to get a quote
Every job is quoted individually. Just phone 0345 464 0079 or send us an email with the details, and pictures are welcome.

Hard water is the norm across most of the South East, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings.
If you live in an older home near Holy Trinity Church, timber floors under older bathrooms flex, so joints need a sealant that moves with them.

Questions from Ebernoe
Do you cover Ebernoe for regrouting?
Yes. Our work covers London and the South East, and Ebernoe is part of that. You can call 0345 464 0079 or email us and let us know what needs doing, and we will send you a clear quote.
Is Ebernoe within the area you cover?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. We work across London and the South East. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the route when you book.
Will you leave a mess?
Tidy work is part of the job. We protect what’s around the joints, and we clear up when we are done.
Can you seal over the old sealant?
No, and we never do. It may look fine at first, but the new bead soon lifts. The old sealant has to come out completely.
Can you regrout just the shower?
Yes. Many jobs are just the shower walls, or just the joints that have failed.
Is there any odour?
It depends on the product. Some products have a noticeable smell, others very little, and any smell fades as they cure.
Do you reseal at the same time?
Normally we do both. Grout fills tile gaps and sealant handles the moving joints, so we renew both and it’s all in the quote.
What do you put in the joint?
The product depends on the job: sanitary silicone where it gets wet, and sealants suited to movement or weather elsewhere. We use products from Arbo and Everbuild.
What sealant work cannot fix
To be straight with you, there are a few things sealant will not fix:
- A leaking wet room membrane
- Loose tiles, which need refixing first
- A leaking shower valve or waste
Not sure which it is? You can ring 0345 464 0079 or email us and we will tell you honestly before booking.

Aftercare tips
A little care helps the new joints last. We recommend:
- Do not use strong acidic cleaners on grout
- Don’t ignore a tile that feels loose
- Skip wire brushes and scourers
- Check the corner silicone every few months
Wipe the tiles down after a shower stops soap and water sitting on the grout. Ventilate the room well so the grout dries between uses.
Grout that stays dark after cleaning is starting to fail. Regrouting at this stage is straightforward while the tiles are still sound.
