Keeping the joints in good condition
Good habits help new joints last longer. A few tips:
- Avoid harsh chemicals near the mastic
- Ventilate rooms so frames do not stay wet inside
- Look round the frames every year or so
- Clean frames with a soft cloth and soapy water
Wipe the frames with soapy water when you clean the windows, and keep solvents and harsh chemicals off the joint.

When we arrive, we look over the joints with you first. Surfaces next to the work are protected before any work begins.
