Regrouting in Puckaster
Professional regrouting in and around Puckaster, with every bit of old sealant taken out first.
- Grout in a colour the owner wants to change
- Grout that stays dark however much it’s cleaned
- Dirty, worn grout on a tiled floor
Regrouting in Puckaster, done properly
Changing the grout colour is a simple way to update tiles. Light grout can go darker to hide marks, or the other way round. Tell us what you have in mind when you ask for a quote. If you have grout in a colour the owner wants to change and stained grout that cleaning won’t shift, we can help, on tiled floors, shower walls and bathroom wall tiles alike.
Somewhere as small as Puckaster, homes tend to be cottages, farmhouses or converted buildings, with some newer houses too. Older walls and timber floors can move a little, and cracked grout and split sealant are often the first signs.
A 12-month guarantee comes as standard.

Different surfaces, different methods
Kitchen splashbacks
Grout behind the hob and sink works hard. We renew the grout and the worktop sealant.
Wet rooms
Regrouting a wet room helps keep water on the surface of the tiles. It doesn’t repair failed tanking underneath.
What we’re called out for in Puckaster
Poor ventilation keeps grout damp, giving mould a place to grow. When black spots keep returning, the mould has generally got into the grout.
Signs it’s time to call us include:
- Crumbling grout between the tiles
- Cracked grout along the bath or tray
- Gaps where the shower grout has gone
- Floor grout that has worn and darkened
Homes close to Church of St. John the Baptist include some older properties, and timber floors under older bathrooms flex, so joints need a sealant that moves with them.

Landlord and commercial work in Puckaster
Water getting past a failed joint can damage the building, which is a bigger problem in a rented property. Resealing at the right time is simple maintenance.
Mouldy or split sealant often shows up at the end of a tenancy, and it’s quick to put right between tenancies. We can quote for more than one property at once.
What affects the quote in Puckaster
You’ll get a clear quote before any work starts. It takes into account:
- The type of sealant required
- Access and height
- Any working-time requirements on site
- Whether old sealant or filler has to be cut out
There are no prices on our website, because each job is priced on what it involves. For a quick quote, please phone 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and we will talk you through it.
Asking for a quote
Photos help, but a description is a good start. Try to tell us:
- Any access issues, like height or stairs
- What the problem is, such as mould, gaps, leaks or cracking
- The address or postcode of the job
- Whether it has been sealed before
For a quote, ring 0345 464 0079 or email us with the location and a short description of the problem. You’ll have a clear quote before any work starts.
When it isn’t the sealant
We won’t take on work that will not last, so these are the limits:
- A leaking wet room membrane
- A leaking shower valve or waste
- Tiles that have come away from the wall
If you’re not sure, just call 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

Regrouting around Puckaster
Puckaster is within about 1 mile of the coast. Near the coast, holiday lets and guest houses can see bathrooms used by one guest after another, which wears sealant and grout out faster than in a quiet home. Hard water is the norm across most of the South East, which leaves limescale on sealant, grout and fittings.
Schools such as Niton Primary School are buildings too, and its toilets, changing areas and kitchens need their sealant renewed like any other building’s.

Common questions in Puckaster
What guarantee comes with regrouting in Puckaster?
All our work, in Puckaster and everywhere else, comes with a 12-month guarantee. We’re fully insured, and an ARBOMaster approved applicator.
Will you come out to Puckaster?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. We work across London and the South East. Let us know about access, parking and anything unusual about getting there when you book.
Can you regrout if a few tiles are loose?
Regrouting will not fix loose tiles. We flag any loose or hollow tiles before starting so you know where you stand.
What does regrouting cost?
There’s no set price, as it depends on the job: its size, the old material, access and the product needed. You will get a clear quote before any work starts.
Do you have insurance?
Yes. We’re fully insured.
How long will you be here?
As a guide, most jobs take a few hours for a shower enclosure, longer for a whole room. Larger jobs naturally take longer, and we will tell you how long to expect.
Will it make a mess?
We keep the work tidy. We protect what’s around the joints, and we clear up when we’re done.
Are you ARBOMaster approved?
Yes. Mr Mastic is an ARBOMaster approved applicator.

Can I do it myself?
The biggest DIY mistake is sealing over old sealant. New silicone won’t bond to old, so it peels away and traps moisture behind it. Everything old must be removed first.
Too much sealant is as bad as too little. A heavy bead looks messy and copes badly with movement, and the joint depth matters as much as the finish.
What happens on the day
A visit follows a simple pattern: we look at the joints together, protect the area around them, carry out the job and tidy away. Most jobs take anything from a few hours to a full day, depending on the area. Somewhere like Puckaster needs a little journey planning: let us know about lanes, gates and parking. Everything for the job comes with us, so a second trip is avoided where possible.
- We agree the area to be regrouted and point out any loose tiles.
- Grout is raked out without chipping the tiles.
- The joints are cleaned out and vacuumed.
- The new grout goes in, then the tile faces are cleaned.
- Internal corners and edges are resealed.
Getting ready for the visit
- Mention any leaks or damp you’ve noticed
- Mention any sign-in or site rules at work premises
- For indoor joints, keep the area dry beforehand if you can
