Trusted regrouting in Morar

Regrouting for homes and businesses in Morar

Regrouting is normally paired with resealing. Grout belongs between tiles, but internal corners and edges flex, so they need flexible silicone instead. Doing both at once leaves the whole area sound. If you are dealing with splashback grout that has darkened and corners filled with grout instead of silicone, we can put it right, on tiled floors, bathroom wall tiles and kitchen splashbacks alike.

For a place like Morar, the job is the same as anywhere: old material out, joints cleaned and dried, and a fresh, even finish. The journey and access are simply planned in advance.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something isn’t right with it in that time, tell us and we will put it right.

Morar questions

I let a flat near Morar station. Can you help?

Yes, we work for landlords and letting agents. Just send an email to info@mrmastic.co.uk and tell us about the property, and we’ll give you a clear price.

Is Morar within the area you cover?

Yes, we do. Our work covers the whole of Scotland, from towns to the smallest places. The journey is planned ahead, so it helps to know about access.

Do you guarantee regrouting?

Our one-year guarantee covers every job.

How much does regrouting cost in Morar?

It depends on the job, so we quote each one individually. To get one, email us at info@mrmastic.co.uk with a short description of the job.

Can you regrout just the shower?

Yes. A lot of our jobs are only the shower, or just the joints that have failed.

Could my grout be a different colour after regrouting?

Yes, plenty of people choose to. Darker grout can hide marks, while lighter grout brightens a room.

Where do you work from?

Our base is in Crawley, and we work across South East England, London and Scotland.

What do you need from me for a quote?

Only a few details: where it is, what you’ve noticed and how we reach it. Then send an email to info@mrmastic.co.uk.

Can I do it myself?

Overfilling a joint is a classic DIY mistake. A thick, smeared bead looks untidy and does not move well, and getting the depth right matters as much as the look.

If you’ve already had a go yourself, that’s fine. We remove it and do the joint properly, so tell us about it when you ask for a quote.

How we quote for regrouting

Jobs vary more than people expect. What affects the quote:

  • Working hours on commercial sites
  • Mould in or behind the old joints
  • The number of rooms or windows
  • How much old sealant there is and how hard it is to remove

No two jobs are quite the same, so each one gets its own quote. Size, access and the product the joint needs all make a difference.

Helping us quote

When you call or email, it’s useful to know:

  • Pictures of the joints, sent by email
  • If it’s domestic, commercial or a hotel
  • Access, such as stairs, a lift or height
  • What’s wrong with the joints now

For a quote, send an email to info@mrmastic.co.uk with the location and a short description of the problem. We will give you a clear price before any work starts.

Regrouting in Morar: local notes

Morar is close to the coast. Near the coast, holiday lets and guest houses can see bathrooms used by one guest after another, and sealant and grout that work that hard wear out sooner. Private landlords in Scotland must be registered and meet the Repairing Standard, which covers keeping fixtures and fittings in a reasonable state of repair. Tired, leaking sealant is worth putting right before a new tenant moves in.

Schools such as Mallaig High School are buildings too, and we reseal washrooms and kitchens in schools and businesses as well as homes. Letting a property close to Morar station? Then stained grout drags a rental down, and regrouting between lets puts that right. Homes close to Roman Catholic Church Of St Cumin And Presbytery include some older properties, and timber floors under older bathrooms flex, so joints need a sealant that moves with them.

Morar is in Highland. From the centre of Morar to the outskirts, regrouting is available for homes and businesses alike. Our Highland coverage runs to 253 places, and Morar is one of them.

All of PH40 is covered for regrouting. We cover properties on Rhubana View and Columba Road and the roads around them. How to look after the new joints

Aftercare is simple:

  • Open a window or run the fan to clear steam
  • Skip wire brushes and scourers
  • Get any tile that moves checked promptly
  • Use gentle cleaners on grout

Have any tile that moves checked straight away. Movement will crack the new grout and open a path for water.

Small problems with grout are quick to put right. Left, the same problem can let water through, so get it looked at when you notice it.

What we do, step by step

When we get to you, we compare the joints with what we discussed. If we find something unexpected, we talk it through with you first. Most jobs then take a few hours for a shower enclosure, longer for a whole room. Outdoor work around Morar depends on the weather, as sealant needs a dry surface, so external jobs may need to move if the day turns wet. Indoor work goes ahead whatever the weather.

  1. We start by checking the tiles for any that are loose or hollow.
  2. The old grout comes out to a consistent depth, without damaging the tiles.
  3. Dust and debris are vacuumed out of every joint.
  4. Fresh grout goes into the joints and the tile faces are wiped clean.
  5. We reseal the internal corners and edges with silicone.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Keep pets and children clear of the area while we work
  • Let us know about stairs, lifts or work at height
  • Try not to wet indoor joints just before the visit

What happens if it’s left?

Grout pens and paint-on colourants only cover the surface. They will not fill gaps or keep water out, and stains can show through again. A proper regrout puts new grout in the joint. Around Morar, water from a failed joint in an older stone home can soak into timber and plaster.

Instead of a standard rate, we look at what your job involves: the amount of work, the old material and the access. The price is agreed before we begin.
