What information do you need?

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes, we do. Domestic, commercial and hotel work are all part of what we do.

How long does a bath or shower reseal take?

Allow a morning or an afternoon for most single baths and showers. We’ll confirm how long your job needs when we quote.

What sealant do you use?

Quality sealants from brands including Arbo and Everbuild, chosen to suit the joint. We’ll tell you what we are using and why.

Where are you based?

We’re based in Crawley, West Sussex, and we work across South East England, London and Scotland.

Can mouldy silicone be sorted out?

Yes. Mould inside the bead rarely cleans out for good, so we cut it out, treat the joint and reseal with anti-fungal silicone.

How we handle bathroom resealing in Rushmoor

Sealant is the soft line between a bath, shower or worktop and the wall. When it splits, shrinks or turns black, water gets behind it into walls, panels and floors. Our team cut the old bead out completely and lay a new one in anti-fungal sanitary silicone. We work on wet rooms, shower trays & enclosures and baths, and people most often call us about a reseal done over the top of the old bead and a messy, uneven bead from a previous reseal.

Homes around Rushmoor are mostly houses and cottages rather than flats, some with bathrooms tucked into older rooms or extensions. The work is the same as anywhere: old material cut out, joints cleaned and a fresh finish laid.

Big or small, it’s backed by our 12-month guarantee in Rushmoor and across Surrey.

Why act early in Rushmoor

The difference in a professional reseal is mostly what you don’t see: cutting out every trace of the old bead, cleaning, treating mould and letting the joint dry. Skip those steps and even the best silicone fails early. Where a wall is exposed, as many are in small places like Rushmoor, wind-driven rain gets into any failed joint, and damp in older walls is slow to dry out.

We don’t show prices on the website, because each job is priced on what it involves. For a quick quote, please call 0345 464 0079 or send us an email.

When to call us in Rushmoor

Silicone doesn’t last for ever. Daily water, heat and cleaning products take their toll over the years, and how long it lasts comes down to use, cleaning and ventilation.

Most people get in touch when they notice something like this:

  • Sealant that has split, shrunk or peeled away
  • Water getting behind the bath panel
  • Shrunken sealant along the back of a worktop
  • Smears of silicone across the tiles

For landlords with property near Farnham station, fresh sealant around the bath, shower and sink between tenancies helps a property present well and keeps leaks at bay.

10 questions to ask before you book

What we do, step by step

There’s no need to move everything out before we come, just the space around the work. We protect the rest, and the work takes a couple of hours for one bath or shower, or most of a day for a full bathroom and kitchen for a typical job. Somewhere like Rushmoor needs a little journey planning: let us know about lanes, gates and parking. Everything for the job comes with us, so a second trip is avoided where possible.

  1. Protection goes down around the bath, shower or worktop.
  2. We cut away the old sealant and clean off what’s left.
  3. Mould is treated, then the joint is left to dry thoroughly.
  4. Any bath is filled with water, then we lay a bead of anti-fungal silicone in white, clear or a matching colour.
  5. We finish the joint, clear up and tell you how long to leave it before it gets wet.

Advice

Looking after it afterwards

Aftercare is simple, and it makes a real difference:

  • Avoid abrasive pads on the sealant
  • Open a window or run the fan so the room dries
  • Wait for the cure time we give you
  • Move toiletries away from the joint

Give the silicone time to cure before it gets wet, which is generally around 24 hours. After that, a quick wipe after showering helps keep it clean.

Mould that starts as a few spots spreads through the bead. Once it’s deep in the silicone, cleaning generally will not remove it, and nearby grout often goes the same way. Catching it early keeps it a simple reseal.

Different surfaces, different methods

Sinks & splashbacks

Where a splashback meets the worktop, there’s a joint that catches every splash. We renew it in clear, white or a matched colour.

Shower trays & enclosures

If a tray moves underfoot, new silicone won’t last. We check for movement before we reseal, and if the tray needs refixing, we’ll say so.

Honest limits

A few problems are outside what sealant work can do:

  • Loose or hollow tiles, or failed tanking behind them
  • A tray that rocks until it’s re-bedded
  • Cracked or missing grout between tiles (that’s regrouting)

If you are not sure, just ring 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and we will give you a straight answer.
