What the job involves on each surface
Shower trays & enclosures
Water often gets past the wall profile of a shower enclosure. It’s resealed along with the tray joints, following the enclosure maker’s guidance on which side to seal.
Kitchen worktops & upstands
The joint between worktop and wall takes splashes, crumbs and cleaning sprays. We seal them in a colour that suits the worktop, so the line doesn’t stand out.
How we handle bathroom resealing in Poling
We fill the bath before sealing it. The weight settles the bath to its lowest point, so the new joint isn’t pulled apart the first time it’s used. Quick jobs often leave it out, and it makes a real difference. If you have gaps where the bath or tray has moved and black mould in the silicone that won’t clean off, we can put it right, whatever the surface.
Around Poling, it’s houses and cottages rather than flats. Sealant and grout wear out here just as they do anywhere: everything old comes out before the new sealant or grout goes in.
You get a 12-month guarantee, the same in Poling as everywhere else we work.

Questions from Poling
Will you come out to Poling?
Yes, Poling is covered. Our work covers London and the South East, from towns to the smallest places. The journey is planned ahead, so it helps to know about access.
I let a flat near Arundel station. Can you help?
Yes, landlords and agents are among the people we work for, and several properties can be quoted together. You can ring 0345 464 0079 or email us with the details for a clear quote.
Will the old sealant be removed?
Always. Sealing over old sealant is the main reason resealing fails early, and it’s something we never do.
What should I tell you?
Tell us what needs doing and where, plus pictures if you have them. We’ll ask anything else we need to know.
Is white the only colour available?
Most people choose white or clear, and other colours are available to suit tiles, trays and worktops. Let us know your preference when you ask for a quote.
Can you do several jobs on one visit?
Yes. Just list everything you need.
Do you guarantee your resealing?
Yes. All our work comes with a 12-month guarantee.
Is it OK to put new sealant on top of the old bead?
No. Sealing over the top looks fine for a few weeks, then lifts, because silicone does not bond to silicone. Every trace of the old bead is removed first.
Other services in Poling
Bathrooms and kitchens in Poling
Poling is within about 3 miles of the coast. Coastal homes, holiday lets and guest houses can see heavy bathroom use in busy months, which wears sealant and grout out faster than in a quiet home. Hard water is the norm across most of the South East, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings.
Homes close to The Parish Church of St Nicholas include some older properties, and walls and floors in older homes can move, and sealant and grout show it first. If you let a flat or house near Arundel station, a reseal between tenants is a quick way to make the bathroom and kitchen look cared for. Schools such as The Littlehampton Academy are buildings too, and we reseal washrooms and kitchens in schools and businesses as well as homes.

DIY sealant or a professional job?
A careful DIYer can reseal a simple joint, such as a straightforward joint indoors. The common mistakes are sealing over old sealant, sealing a damp joint and using far too much.
Sealing over old silicone is the commonest DIY error. Silicone doesn’t stick to old silicone, so it peels away and traps moisture behind it. Everything old must be removed first.
How we quote for bathroom resealing
For a quick quote, just ask. What matters most is:
- Working hours on commercial sites
- The type of sealant required
- The old material and how stubborn it is
- Any mould that needs treating
No two jobs are quite the same, so we quote each one individually. Size, access and the product the joint needs all make a difference.
Helping us quote
The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote. When you get in contact, it helps to mention:
- Any previous sealing or DIY work
- Access, such as stairs, a lift or height
- Where the job is, and your postcode
- Photos by email, if that is easy
There’s no standard price list, because every job is different. Instead, your job gets its own clear quote. To arrange one, ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email.
Why act early in Poling
Tired sealant isn’t a reason to replace a bath or shower. Replacing the joint is normally all it takes, provided the bath, tray and tiles are in good order. If something else is wrong, we will tell you. Where a wall is exposed, as many are in small places like Poling, wind-driven rain gets into any failed joint, and older walls, once damp, take a long time to dry.
Commercial jobs are quoted on the same basis as homes: the amount of work, the access and the products needed. Call for a quick quote and we’ll explain what it covers.

The process
We bring everything the job needs with us, so you don’t need to buy or prepare anything. Once we have agreed what’s being done, the area is protected and the work begins. It normally takes a morning or an afternoon for most single baths and showers. Somewhere like Poling needs a little journey planning: let us know about lanes, gates and parking. We bring what the job needs, so it can be finished in one trip where possible.
- We cover the area around the joints we’re working on.
- Old sealant is sliced away and the residue removed.
- Mould is treated, then the joint is left to dry thoroughly.
- Baths are filled first, then anti-fungal sanitary silicone is applied in a colour to suit.
- The joint is finished neatly and we explain when it can get wet.
How to prepare
- Clear the area around the work
- Mention any sign-in or site rules at work premises
- Where the joints are inside, avoid wetting them before we arrive
How to get a quote
Every job is quoted individually, so start by telling us what you need. Simply phone 0345 464 0079 or email us and describe the job, and photos are welcome.

How to look after the new joints
To keep the joints looking good and working properly:
- Run the extractor fan during and after every shower
- Wipe up water along the back of the worktop
- Let new sealant cure fully before it gets wet
- Keep scourers and sharp tools away from the bead
Wipe up standing water along the worktop joint. The drier the joint stays, the longer it lasts.
A few black dots in the silicone soon become a black line. Once it’s deep in the silicone, cleaning usually won’t remove it. Replacing the sealant early keeps the job small.
