Bathroom resealing for homes and businesses in Leigh-on-Sea
It isn’t only bathrooms. The joint between worktop and wall, the edge of the sink and the bottom of the splashback all take splashes every day, and water behind a laminate worktop can make it swell. Kitchen joints get a sealant suited to kitchens, colour-matched where it shows. If you have lumpy, uneven sealant from a DIY attempt and splits where the tray meets the wall, we can put it right, whatever the surface.
Even in a smaller place like Leigh-on-Sea, bathrooms and kitchens see heavy daily use. Whether it’s a cottage bathroom or a newer en suite, the approach is the same: old sealant or grout cut out, joints cleaned and dried, and a fresh finish laid.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard.

Quotes for bathroom resealing in Leigh-on-Sea
We quote each job individually. This is what makes a difference:
- Whether there’s mould to deal with
- Which sealant suits the joint
- Working hours on commercial sites
- How many areas need sealing
Leaving a failed joint usually makes the job bigger, not smaller. If you’re unsure, ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and we will give you an honest view and a quote.
Helping us quote
Photos by email are helpful but not essential. Please mention:
- A few photos by email, if you can
- What the problem is, such as mould, gaps, leaks or cracking
- Where the job is, and your postcode
- Whether it has been sealed before
Getting a quote is simple: tell us what needs doing and where, and roughly how big it is. A few pictures by email make the job easier to understand, and we’ll come back to you with a quote.
Questions from Leigh-on-Sea
Will you come out to Leigh-on-Sea?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. We work across London and the South East. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the route when you book.
Can you do bathroom resealing in Leigh-on-Sea?
Yes, Leigh-on-Sea is within the area we cover. We work across London and the South East. Just ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email with a few details of the job, and we’ll send you a clear quote.
Can tenants book the work?
Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.
Will the old sealant be removed?
Yes, always, and completely. New sealant won’t bond properly to old, so the joint is cleaned back first.
Is it messy?
We keep the work tidy. Nearby surfaces are protected, and we clear up when we are done.
Where do you work from?
We’re a Crawley-based firm, with over 20 years’ experience. Our area covers South East England, London and Scotland.
Is white the only colour available?
White and clear are the most common choices, but other colours can be used to suit tiles and worktops. Let us know your preference when you ask for a quote.
Do I need to be at home?
It depends on the job. Inside work needs someone to give us access, while outside work can sometimes be arranged differently.
What we cannot put right
Honest advice matters more to us than a booking, so here’s what sealant cannot fix:
- A cracked shower tray or bath (that needs repair or replacement)
- Movement from a bath with loose feet or no proper support
- Tiles that have come away from the wall
Not sure which it is? You can call 0345 464 0079 or email us and we’ll tell you honestly.
What we seal
- Wet rooms
- Baths
- Sinks & splashbacks
- Basins & vanity units

Landlords, agents and businesses in Leigh-on-Sea
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Tell us the address, the job and how access works and we will quote.
Failed sealant is one of the commonest items on a check-out report. Several properties can go on one quote.
Why deal with it now?
Mould removers can fade the surface of a stained bead, but mould that has grown into the sealant tends to return. Cutting it out and resealing with anti-fungal silicone is the fix that lasts. In an older home around Leigh-on-Sea, damp from a failed joint can get into timber and plaster, and that is a much bigger job than renewing the sealant.
Every job is a little different, so each one gets its own quote. Size, access and the product the joint needs all play a part.
Why us?
- An ARBOMaster approved applicator
- White, clear, grey or another colour, product permitting
- Tidy, careful work
- Homes, businesses and hotels

What we do, step by step
Every visit runs the same way: we check the joints, mask and protect the surrounding surfaces, carry out the job and tidy away. It normally takes around two hours for one bath or shower, longer for a whole bathroom. A visit to Leigh-on-Sea is planned like any other: the time, the access and where to park are agreed in advance. Outdoor jobs depend on a dry day, since sealant needs a dry surface.
- We cover the area around the joints we’re working on.
- We cut away the old sealant and clean off what’s left.
- We treat any mould and let the joint dry properly.
- Any bath is filled with water, then we lay a bead of anti-fungal silicone in white, clear or a matching colour.
- The joint is finished neatly and we explain when it can get wet.
How to prepare
- Plan for the work area to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Mention any sign-in or site rules at work premises
- Mention if the joints have been sealed before
How to get a quote
We quote each job on its own, so the first step is telling us about yours. Just phone 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email with the details and send photos if you have them.

How to look after the new joints
So the new joints stay in good condition:
- Clean with a mild bathroom cleaner and a soft cloth
- Never pick at the silicone with a blade
- Wipe the sealant dry after showering
- Give the silicone its full cure time
In a kitchen, don’t let water sit along the back of the worktop and keep hot pans away from the silicone. The drier the joint stays, the longer it lasts.
A few black dots in the silicone soon become a black line. Once it’s deep in the silicone, cleaning usually won’t remove it. Replacing the sealant early keeps the job small.
DIY versus a professional finish
If you’ve already had a go yourself, that’s fine. We remove it and do the joint properly.
If you do try it yourself, take your time over the preparation: take out all the old sealant, make sure the joint is clean and dry, and give it the full cure time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still put it right.
Bathroom resealing around Leigh-on-Sea
Leigh-on-Sea is close to the coast. Coastal homes, holiday lets and guest houses can see heavy bathroom use in busy months, and sealant and grout that work that hard wear out sooner. Most of the South East has hard water, which leaves limescale on sealant, grout and fittings, and it has to be cleaned off before new sealant goes in.
If you live in an older home near Church of St Margaret of Antioch, bathrooms in older houses have often been refitted more than once, with sealant laid over sealant. For landlords with property near Leigh-on-Sea station, mouldy sealant is one of the first things a new tenant notices, so it’s worth renewing between lets. Schools such as West Leigh Infant School are buildings too, and washroom and kitchen sealant there needs the same care as at home, and schools and businesses are part of our work as well as homes.
