Work for landlords, hotels and businesses

We also work for property managers and facilities teams in Horseport and across Hampshire. We can quote a run of properties together.

Letting agents and landlords in Horseport can book us as well as homeowners. Sealant work between tenants is a simple way to keep a property in good order before the next move-in.

How we handle bathroom resealing in Horseport

We fill the bath before sealing it. The weight settles the bath to its lowest point, so the new joint is not pulled apart the first time it’s used. Quick jobs often leave it out, and it makes a real difference. We work on basins & vanity units, shower trays & enclosures and wet rooms, and common reasons people get in touch are cracked, shrunken or lifting silicone and splits where the tray meets the wall.

Around Horseport, it’s houses and cottages rather than flats, some with bathrooms tucked into older rooms or extensions. Sealant and grout wear out here just as they do anywhere: everything old comes out before the new sealant or grout goes in.

The work is covered for a year after we finish. If there’s a problem with it, please phone 0345 464 0079 or email us.

What the job involves on each surface

Wet rooms

A wet room floor and its walls can move independently, so the internal corners need silicone rather than grout. Where grout in a corner has cracked, we can replace it with sealant.

Basins & vanity units

Vanity units have long, worktop-style joints against the wall. Water that gets behind can damage the unit, so the joint is sealed in one unbroken line.

Why it’s worth doing now in Horseport

Most of the work in a good reseal happens before any silicone goes on: cutting out every trace of the old bead, cleaning, treating mould and letting the joint dry. Without that preparation, the new bead will not last. Around Horseport, older homes often have timber in their floors and frames, and water through a failed joint can rot timber if it’s left.

What you pay reflects the work, not guesswork. That’s why we ask about the job first and give you a clear quote before work begins.

What affects the cost of bathroom resealing

We do not publish a price list. What we look at:

  • Access and height
  • When we can work, for business premises
  • The number and length of the joints
  • Mould in or behind the old joints

Homes and businesses are quoted the same way: the amount of work, the access and the products needed, along with when we can work on site. Ask us for a quote and we will go through it with you.

What we need to know

To help us quote quickly, let us know:

  • Any previous sealing or DIY work
  • Whether it’s a home or a business
  • What the problem is, such as mould, gaps, leaks or cracking
  • Access, such as stairs, a lift or height

Need a quote? Please phone 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email with a few details. We will explain what we’d do and give you a clear price before we start.

Questions from Horseport

Is Horseport within the area you cover?

Yes, we do. We work across London and the South East, and smaller places are part of that. The journey is planned ahead, so it helps to know about access.

Is there a guarantee on bathroom resealing in Horseport?

All our work, in Horseport and everywhere else, comes with a 12-month guarantee. We’re fully insured, and an ARBOMaster approved applicator.

Do you work for letting agents?

Yes. As well as homeowners, we work for landlords, agents, businesses and hotels in Horseport.

Does someone need to be in?

It depends on the job. Inside work needs someone to give us access, and for outside work we will agree access with you when we book.

What information do you need?

Where the job is, what the problem is and roughly how big it is. Photos by email help too.

My sealant has gone black. Can you sort it?

Yes, we replace the mouldy bead. Sprays can fade the marks, but cutting it out and resealing is what lasts. Airing the room well helps stop it returning.

Are you insured?

Yes. Full insurance covers our work.

Are you an approved applicator?

Yes. We’re approved under the ARBOMaster scheme, which is run for the Arbo sealant brand.

Looking after it afterwards

So the new joints stay in good condition:

  • Do not leave water standing on kitchen joints
  • Move toiletries away from the joint
  • Clean with a mild bathroom cleaner and a soft cloth
  • Open a window or run the fan so the room dries

In a kitchen, do not let water sit along the back of the worktop and keep hot pans off the bead. A dry joint lasts longer.

Mould that starts as a few spots spreads through the bead. Once it’s deep in the silicone, cleaning normally will not remove it, and nearby grout often goes the same way. Catching it early keeps it a simple reseal.

Bathroom resealing around Horseport

Most of the South East has hard water, which leaves limescale on sealant, grout and fittings, and it has to be cleaned off before new sealant goes in.

For site and facilities teams at buildings such as Fordingbridge Infant School, we reseal washrooms and kitchens in schools and businesses as well as homes. For an older house near a landmark such as St Mary's Church, bathrooms in older houses have often been refitted more than once, with sealant laid over sealant.

Horseport is in Hampshire. Jobs in Horseport get the same care as everywhere else we work: old sealant removed completely, careful preparation and a one-year guarantee. What happens on the day

When we arrive, we look over the joints with you first, so there are no surprises. Surfaces next to the work are protected before work begins. Most jobs take half a day or less for one room, longer when the kitchen is included. Somewhere as small as Horseport, access is often the only tricky part. For outside work, also let us know about exposed walls and any outbuildings involved.

  1. First the area is protected and every bit of old sealant removed.
  2. The joint is cleaned, degreased and treated for mould.
  3. The joint is left to dry, and baths are filled with water first.
  4. New anti-fungal silicone goes on in a colour to suit and is tooled to a clean finish.
  5. We tidy up and give you the cure time, normally around 24 hours.

How to prepare

  • Keep children and pets away from the work area
  • Mention any leaks or damp you’ve noticed
  • For business premises, tell us about site rules or sign-in

Advice

What we cannot put right

A few problems are outside what sealant work can do:

  • A bath or tray that moves because it isn’t properly supported
  • A leaking waste, trap or valve
  • Cracked or missing grout between tiles (that is regrouting)

Not sure which it is? You can ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.
