Trusted regrouting in Heath Common

Regrouting for homes and businesses in Heath Common

Our applicators rake out the old grout to an even depth, taking care not to chip the tile edges. After vacuuming, new grout goes in and the tiles are wiped clean, and the corners get fresh silicone. If you are dealing with greasy, stained grout behind the hob and dirty, worn grout on a tiled floor, we can help, on shower walls, bathroom floors and bathroom wall tiles alike.

For a small place like Heath Common, regrouting is planned like any other job: the journey and access are simply agreed in advance. In the bathroom or kitchen, the work is the same as in any town.

Every job is covered by our 12-month guarantee, wherever you are in West Sussex.

Mr Mastic applicator sealing the vertical joint between a glass shower screen and tiled wall

Can I do it myself?

A DIY attempt does not rule out a professional job. We remove it and do the joint properly, so just mention it when you contact us.

Some jobs are best left to a professional: high-level joints, fire-rated gaps, external movement joints and big jobs need the right product, the right access and the right method.

Surface by surface

Kitchen splashbacks

Grout behind the hob and sink works hard. We renew the grout and the worktop sealant.

Bathroom wall tiles

Walls outside the shower get less water but grout there still discolours. Regrouting brings them back in line.

The process

You don’t need to clear the whole room or building before we come, just the space around the work. We protect the rest, and the job takes a few hours, or longer for a fully tiled room for a typical job. Somewhere as small as Heath Common, access is often the only tricky part. If the job is outside, mention outbuildings, exposed walls and how to reach them.

  1. We check the tiles for any that are hollow or loose.
  2. We rake out the grout evenly, protecting the tile edges.
  3. We vacuum the joints so the new grout bonds.
  4. New grout is pressed into the joints and the tiles are cleaned.
  5. We finish with silicone in the moving joints.

  • On commercial sites, let us know about site rules
  • Keep pets and children clear of the area while we work

FAQs for Heath Common

Yes. Heath Common is within the area we cover, which takes in towns, villages and rural addresses. Our work covers London and the South East. Let us know about access, parking and anything unusual about getting there when you book.

Do you work in hotels near Heath Common?

Yes, hospitality work, including hotels, is part of what we do. Jobs can be programmed room by room, with out-of-hours working possible to arrange.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Of course. Combining jobs makes good use of the visit.

How soon can the shower be used after regrouting?

Before we leave, we’ll tell you how long to wait. Both the grout and the silicone need time to cure before the shower is used.

It depends on the job, so we quote each one individually. For a quick quote, ring 0345 464 0079 or send us an email with a short description of the job.

Where do you work from?

Our base is in Crawley, and we work across South East England, London and Scotland.

Is regrouting a chance to pick a new grout colour?

Yes. With the old grout removed, the new colour fills the whole joint rather than sitting on top.

What do you need from me for a quote?

Just the basics: the address or postcode, what’s wrong and any access issues. After that, simply ring 0345 464 0079 or email us.

What we are called out for in Heath Common

Most grout is porous, so water, soap and grime soak into it. Over time it stains, softens and starts to crumble, especially in a shower that is used every day.

Signs it’s time to call us include:

  • Stained grout that cleaning will not shift
  • Grout in corners that has cracked
  • Splashback grout that has darkened
  • Gaps where the shower grout has gone

For site and facilities teams at buildings such as Thakeham Primary School, washroom and kitchen sealant there needs the same care as at home, and schools and businesses are part of our work as well as homes.

What to look for in a quote

  • How hidden problems are handled
  • How long to leave it before use
  • Who turns up on the day
  • Whether VAT is included

Our hiring checklist

Heath Common homes and their sealant

Most of the South East has hard water, which leaves limescale on sealant, grout and fittings, and it has to be cleaned off before new sealant goes in. There are hotels and other places to stay in and around Heath Common. As well as homes, we work in hotel bathrooms, where resealing and regrouting can be done room by room.

For landlords with property near Pulborough station, stained grout drags a rental down, and regrouting between lets puts that right. For an older house near a landmark such as Church of the Holy Sepulchre, older homes can move a little, which is hard on rigid grout and tired sealant.

What sealant work cannot fix

  • Waterproofing that has failed below the tiling
  • Tiles that are chipped or split
  • A floor or wall that keeps moving

Not sure which it is? You can phone 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and we’ll tell you honestly.

  • The number of rooms or windows
  • Whether the work is at height

Rather than a set price list, we look at what your job involves: how many joints, what’s in them now and how we reach them. The price is agreed before we begin.
