East Hendred Regrouting
Problem with your tiled areas in East Hendred? We remove the old material, prepare the joints and seal them properly.
- Cracked grout along the bath or tray
- Greasy, stained grout behind the hob
- Discoloured grout on otherwise sound tiles
Bathrooms and kitchens in East Hendred
Most of the South East has hard water, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings, and it has to be cleaned off before new sealant goes in.
Managing a site like The Hendreds Church of England School? Then washroom and kitchen sealant there needs the same care as at home, and schools and businesses are part of our work as well as homes. In the older streets around Church of St Augustine of Canterbury, timber floors under older bathrooms flex, so joints need a sealant that moves with them. For landlords with property near Didcot Parkway station, a regrout while the flat is empty is quicker than working around a tenant.

About our regrouting in East Hendred
Across East Hendred, we regrout tiled showers, bathrooms and kitchens. Out comes the old grout, the joints are cleaned and new grout goes in, finished with new silicone at the edges. Common call-outs are for cracked or crumbling grout lines and a grout colour that no longer suits the room, on bathroom wall tiles, bathroom floors and wet rooms.
Somewhere as small as East Hendred, homes tend to be cottages, farmhouses or converted buildings, with some newer houses too. Older walls and timber floors can move a little, and cracked grout and split sealant are often the first signs.

What affects the quote in East Hendred
We quote each job individually. This is what makes a difference:
- How easy the joints are to reach
- How many areas need sealing
- Whether there’s mould to deal with
- The product the joint needs
Doing several joints on one visit is usually more efficient than separate visits, so tell us about everything that needs sealing. You will get one clear quote for the whole job.
What to tell us for a quote
When you contact us, these details help:
- What’s wrong with the joints now
- Access, such as stairs, a lift or height
- The type of property
- If someone has resealed it before
Getting a quote is simple: let us know the job and the location, and roughly how big it is. A few photos by email make the job easier to understand, and we will come back to you with a quote.
What happens if it’s left?
Cracked grout lets water behind the tiles. Left alone, that water can loosen tiles or damage the wall, and then you are looking at retiling. Dealing with it now keeps it small. In a small place like East Hendred, homes can be exposed to wind and rain, which finds any gap, and damp in older walls is slow to dry out.
We do not show prices on the website, because each job is priced on what it involves. Call for a quick quote.

What sealant work can’t fix
Honest advice matters more to us than a booking, so here’s what sealant cannot fix:
- A leaking shower valve or waste
- Tiles that are chipped or split
- Failed tanking or waterproofing under the tiles
If in doubt, ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and we’ll say what we think before you book.

DIY versus a professional finish
If you do try it yourself, take your time over the preparation: remove every trace of old sealant, clean and dry the joint, and follow the product’s cure time. If it fails, we can still redo it.
Overfilling a joint is a classic DIY mistake. A thick, smeared bead looks untidy and does not move well, and getting the depth right matters as much as the look.
Keeping the joints in good condition
A little care helps the new joints last. Our advice:
- Avoid neat bleach and strong acid descalers on grout
- Wipe or squeegee the shower walls
- Have loose tiles looked at early
- Rinse soap off the tiles after each shower
A squeegee or cloth over the tiles after use stops soap and water sitting on the grout. Run the extractor fan or open a window to help it dry out.
Tiles can come away if failed grout is left. Once that happens, regrouting will not fix it, so it’s worth acting early.
The process
All our tools and materials come with us in the van, so there’s nothing for you to buy. Once we’ve agreed what’s being done, we protect the area and start. It normally takes anything from a few hours to a full day, depending on the area. Somewhere as small as East Hendred, access is often the only tricky part. If the job is outside, mention outbuildings, exposed walls and how to reach them.
- We check the tiles for any that are hollow or loose.
- The old grout is removed to an even depth.
- The joints are vacuumed clean.
- New grout is pressed into the joints and the tiles are cleaned.
- Silicone goes into the corners and along the edges.
Getting ready for the visit

East Hendred questions
Is East Hendred within the area you cover?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. Our work covers London and the South East. Let us know about access, parking and anything unusual about getting there when you book.
Do you work for landlords with property near Didcot Parkway station?
Yes, we work for letting agents and landlords. Just ring 0345 464 0079 or email us and tell us about the property, and we’ll give you a clear quote.
Can you change the grout colour?
It can. With the old grout removed, the new colour fills the whole joint rather than sitting on top.
What if some of my tiles are loose?
Loose tiles need refixing before regrouting. We will point them out at the start.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Of course. Combining jobs makes good use of the visit.
Do you have insurance?
Yes. We’re fully insured for domestic and commercial work.
Is resealing included with regrouting?
Yes, in most cases. Fresh grout next to old, mouldy silicone would look odd and could still leak.
What do you put in the joint?
Products from Arbo and Everbuild, among others, picked for each joint. We’ll tell you what we’re using and why.
