Gutter, fascia & soffit sealing in The City, Buckinghamshire
We cover The City for sealing leaking gutter joints, end caps, fascias, soffits and roofline trims. Old sealant removed completely, joints prepared properly and a 12-month guarantee.
- Open joints in fascias and soffits
- Damp patches inside below a leaking gutter
- Wet patches on the wall under a gutter joint
How the visit works
Our applicators work methodically: protection first, then preparation, sealing and a tidy-up. For most jobs that takes anything from an hour or two to a few hours, and the area is left clean. Somewhere like The City needs a little journey planning: let us know about lanes, gates and parking. We bring what the job needs, so it can be finished in one trip where possible.
- We start by tracing the leak and checking the gutter itself is sound.
- We clean out the joint and take out the old sealant.
- We make sure the joint is dry before sealing.
- Gutter or exterior sealant is applied and finished.
- We check the run and clear any debris we find while we are there.
Before we arrive
- Keep children and pets away from the work area
- Let us know if you’ve seen damp or leaks
- Mention if the joints have been sealed before

Gutter sealing for homes and businesses in The City
It’s easy to live with a dripping gutter joint, but the water lands on the same spot every time it rains. Resealing it is a small job while the gutter is still sound. We work on garage door frames, roofline trims and gutter end caps, and people most often call us about cracked sealant along roofline trims and failed sealant on a garage door frame.
Outside joints can only be sealed when they’re dry, so work in The City is booked around the forecast. Tell us about access to all sides of the building, including outbuildings and garages.
Every job is covered by our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Buckinghamshire.

Work for landlords, hotels and businesses
Businesses can book us for washrooms, kitchens, offices and more. On commercial sites, working times can be discussed when we quote.
A neglected joint can let water reach the structure, which matters even more when someone else lives there. Resealing at the right time is simple maintenance that we can handle for you.
What the job involves on each surface
Garage door frames
Failed sealant around a garage door frame lets water in. It’s removed and renewed.
Roofline trims
We seal the trims, not the roof. A roofer deals with the roof itself.
How we quote for gutter sealing
Jobs vary more than people expect. The main factors:
- How much there is to do
- Whether the work is at height
- The type of sealant required
- The number of rooms or windows
Homes and businesses are quoted the same way: the amount of work, the access and the products needed. Call for a quick quote and we’ll explain what it covers.
What we need to know
When you contact us, these details help:
- Whether it’s a home or a business
- Any previous sealing or DIY work
- What the problem is, such as mould, gaps, leaks or cracking
- Roughly how big the job is
For gutter sealing in The City, phone 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email. A short description of the job and where it is helps us quote, and we’ll agree the price before any work begins.
What gutter sealing looks like in The City
Rainfall in the South East is lower than in much of the UK, though outdoor sealant still has to go onto a dry joint, so the forecast decides the day. Historic houses like West Wycombe Park House (about 2.7 miles south-east) are a reminder that the area around The City has older buildings as well as new. Where a home is older, older walls and rooflines need a sealant that moves with them and suits the material.
If you live in an older home near Church of St Paul, the joints between older walls, newer extensions and the roofline need a sealant that can move. Schools such as Radnage Church of England Primary School are buildings too, and movement joints, cladding joints and gutters on larger buildings need the same care as a house’s. Rented homes near Saunderton station change hands often, and a gutter joint that drips onto the wall can turn into a damp complaint, so it’s worth checking.
The City is about 5 miles north-west of High Wycombe, in Buckinghamshire. Homes, rented property, offices and hotels in The City can book us for gutter sealing. The work is guaranteed for a year. Across Buckinghamshire, we cover 263 places, and The City is one of them. Reading is on our list too, around 15 miles away.

Common questions in The City
Will you come out to The City?
Yes. The City is within the area we cover, which takes in towns, villages and rural addresses. Our work covers London and the South East. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the route when you book.
I let a flat near Saunderton station. Can you help?
Yes, rental work is part of what we do. Just phone 0345 464 0079 or email us and tell us about the property, and we will give you a clear quote.
Is sealant enough for a gutter that has dropped?
No. If the gutter sags, the joints keep opening, so the brackets need fixing first.
Do you remove the old sealant?
Yes. We cut out all the old sealant and clean the joint before resealing.
Where are you based?
We’re a Crawley-based firm. Our area covers South East England, London and Scotland.
Do you install new fascias or gutters?
That is not something we do. We seal joints; replacing gutters and fascias needs a gutter or roofline installer.
Can you reach high gutters?
Low-level work is easiest. For anything higher, we will confirm what access is needed before we book.
Will it make a mess?
No. We work neatly, protect the area around the joints and tidy up afterwards.
Should I try it myself first?
Too much sealant is as bad as too little. A thick, smeared bead looks untidy and does not move well, and getting the depth right matters as much as the look.
The biggest DIY mistake is sealing over old sealant. New silicone won’t bond to old, so it lifts and traps water and mould underneath. All the old material has to come out first.
Aftercare tips
A little care helps the new joints last. Our advice:
- Keep ladders off the guttering
- Don’t leave a sagging gutter
- Clean out the gutters once or twice a year
- Look at the gutters while it’s raining
Keep downpipes clear so the gutter can drain. Blockages push water back along the gutter.
The sooner a gutter leak is sealed, the less water reaches the wall. We will let you know if the gutter needs more than sealant.
Why it’s worth doing now in The City
A dripping gutter joint keeps wetting the same patch of wall. Left, it can stain walls and lead to damp, so it’s worth sealing early. Older cottages and farmhouses around The City can have timber floors and frames, and water through a failed joint can rot timber if it’s left.
A failed joint rarely gets cheaper to fix by waiting. If you’re not sure whether it needs doing, phone 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and we’ll give you an honest view and a quote.
