Fire Rated Sealant in Deepcut
Our applicators work in Deepcut on intumescent and fire-rated sealant around gaps, frames and service penetrations. Old material cut out, joints cleaned and sealed neatly and every job guaranteed for a year.
- Damaged fire sealant left by other trades
- Gaps left after a refit or conversion
- Gaps where walls meet ceilings or slabs
Fire rated sealant in Deepcut, done properly
Intumescent sealant looks much like any other sealant until it gets hot; in a fire it expands into the joint. Which product suits a gap depends on its width, the materials either side and what runs through it, so we follow the tested detail for each one. Common call-outs are for open holes round services passing through fire walls and gaps left after a refit or conversion, across service penetrations, door frames and flats & HMOs.
If you run a pub, café, guest house or shop in or near Deepcut, its washrooms and kitchen need the same sealant care as any big building, and fire-rated sealant around service openings should be restored after new pipes or cables go through.

What the job involves on each surface
Masonry and concrete
Preparation counts on brick, block and concrete. We brush and vacuum the gap and use backing where the detail needs it before applying the sealant.
Door frames
A door can only do its job if the gap behind its frame is sealed too. We seal that gap with a fire-rated sealant suited to the frame and wall.

FAQs for Deepcut
Can you do fire rated sealant in Deepcut?
Yes. We work across London and the South East, and Deepcut is part of that. You can phone 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and tell us what needs doing, and we will give you a clear quote.
Will you come out to Deepcut?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. We work across London and the South East. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the route when you book.
Where are you based?
Our base is Crawley. Our area covers South East England, London and Scotland.
Will you assess my building’s fire safety?
No. Your fire risk assessor, designer or building control decides that. Our job is applying the sealant to their specification.
Can I choose the sealant colour?
We’ll suggest a colour to suit the surroundings. The choice depends on the product the joint needs.
Do you have insurance?
Yes. We are fully insured.
What sealant do you use?
It depends on the joint: anti-fungal sanitary silicone in wet areas, and other sealants where joints move or face the weather. We use products from Arbo and Everbuild.
Do you work in flats, HMOs and commercial buildings?
Yes, in flats, HMOs, schools, offices and other buildings, occupied or empty. Let us know the building’s hours and we’ll plan the work to suit.
Landlord and commercial work in Deepcut
A neglected joint can let water reach the structure, which matters even more when someone else lives there. Keeping joints in good order is simple maintenance that we can handle for you.
Failed sealant is one of the commonest items on a check-out report. We can quote for more than one property at once.
Should I try it myself first?
What a professional job adds is preparation and the right product. We take joints back to clean, dry surfaces, and the sealant is chosen for how the joint moves and where it is.
If you do try it yourself, take your time over the preparation: take out all the old sealant, make sure the joint is clean and dry, and give it the full cure time. If it does not work out, we can still put it right.
When something else is needed
Some problems need a builder, plumber or other trade rather than us:
- Big openings where sealant alone isn’t the tested solution
- Issuing a fire rating or certificate for a building
- Fire doors that need new seals, closers or hardware
Not sure which it is? You can ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and we will tell you honestly before you book.

How to look after the new joints
After the cure time, these simple habits help:
- Photograph sealed gaps before they’re covered up
- Keep general-purpose foam and caulk away from fire-stopping gaps
- Flag any open gap you spot round a pipe or cable
- File the fire-stopping record where your assessor can find it
Do not drill through or remove a fire seal without putting it back properly. If you need new services through a sealed wall, plan the fire stopping as part of the job.
A flagged gap shouldn’t wait for the next assessment. Have it sealed, then keep the record so the item can be closed.
Why act early in Deepcut
Waiting for the next refit can leave a gap open for years. On its own, sealing it now is a small job that does not depend on other work. In an older home around Deepcut, damp from a failed joint can get into timber and plaster, which is far harder to put right than the sealant itself.
Leaving a failed joint normally makes the job bigger, not smaller, because water and mould keep working on it. If you are unsure, ring 0345 464 0079 or email us and we’ll give you an honest view and a quote.

Workplaces and buildings in Deepcut
Workplaces and the common parts of blocks of flats in England need a fire risk assessment under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and gaps around services are often picked up there. We work to the specification you are given, installing the product to its tested details.
If you look after a building such as Sandringham Infant & Nursery School, service openings in fire-resisting walls need checking after any refurbishment. Rented homes near Farnborough North station change hands often, and fire-rated sealant around pipes and cables through walls and floors needs making good whenever new services go through.

How the visit works
The work is kept neat and contained to the joints we are treating. The job usually takes anything from a few hours to several days, depending on how many gaps there are. In a smaller place like Deepcut, parking is seldom the issue; lanes, gates and long drives are worth mentioning. For outside work, side access and the height of the joints help us plan.
- Before starting, we go through the specification or action list with you.
- We measure every gap and note what it’s in and what passes through.
- Unsuitable material such as ordinary foam or silicone is cut out and the gap cleaned.
- The specified fire-rated sealant goes in over any backing its detail requires.
- Every location is recorded with the product used for your records.
How to prepare
- Tell us about access, such as stairs, a lift or high-level joints
- Let us know about parking restrictions
- Let us know about earlier repairs to the joints
