Surface by surface
Sinks & splashbacks
Around the sink, we use a product suited to kitchens, including a food-safe sealant where that’s needed. The joint is laid neatly so it’s easy to wipe.
Shower trays & enclosures
Water often gets past the wall profile of a shower enclosure. We reseal it along with the base of the enclosure, sealing the side the enclosure’s instructions call for.
Wildmoor: your questions answered
Is Wildmoor within the area you cover?
Yes. Wildmoor is within the area we cover, which takes in towns, villages and rural addresses. We work across London and the South East. Let us know about access, parking and anything unusual about getting there when you book.
Do you cover Wildmoor for bathroom resealing?
Yes. Our work covers London and the South East, and Wildmoor is part of that. Just ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email with a few details of the job, and we’ll send you a clear quote.
Can you do several jobs on one visit?
Yes. Tell us about everything you’d like done and we will quote it together.
How long does it take to reseal a bath or shower?
It depends on how many joints there are and how much old sealant has to come out. Allow a couple of hours for a typical bath or shower.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Landlords are often happy for the work to be arranged.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes, for 12 months. Looking after the joint as we suggest helps it last.
What do you put in the joint?
Quality sealants from brands including Arbo and Everbuild, chosen to suit the joint. We’ll tell you what we are using and why.
Can mouldy silicone be sorted out?
Yes. We strip the bead, treat the joint and lay new anti-fungal silicone.
What affects the cost of bathroom resealing
We do not publish a price list. What we look at:
- Any mould that needs treating
- The amount of work
- How easy the joints are to reach
- Whether old sealant or filler has to be cut out
The cost reflects the work involved, not a rough estimate. That’s why we ask a few questions first.
Asking for a quote
Photos by email are helpful but not essential. Try to tell us:
- If it’s domestic, commercial or a hotel
- Whether it has been sealed before
- How we’d reach the joints
- What the problem is, such as mould, gaps, leaks or cracking
For a quote, phone 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and tell us where the job is and what the problem looks like. You will have a clear quote before any work starts.
What we do, step by step
There’s no need to move everything out before we come, only the area right around the joints. We protect the rest, and the job takes half a day or less for one room, longer when the kitchen is included for a typical job. Somewhere like Wildmoor needs a little journey planning: let us know about lanes, gates and parking. We bring what the job needs, so it can be finished in one trip where possible.
- We look at every joint first and check for movement or leaks.
- The old silicone is cut out completely, along with the film it leaves on the tiles.
- Joints are degreased and any mould is treated.
- When the joint is dry, and a bath has been filled with water, the new silicone goes on.
- The bead is tooled smooth and you are told the cure time, usually around 24 hours.
Getting ready for the visit
- Move anything stored near the joints
- Keep pets and children clear of the area while we work
- For business premises, tell us about site rules or sign-in
How to get a quote
A good description makes for an accurate quote. Tell us where the job is, what’s wrong and how much there is, and add pictures by email if you can.

Why act early in Wildmoor
Mould removers can fade the surface of a stained bead, but mould that has grown into the sealant tends to return. Cutting it out and resealing with anti-fungal silicone is the fix that lasts. Where a wall is exposed, as many are in small places like Wildmoor, wind-driven rain gets into any failed joint, and older walls, once damp, take a long time to dry.
Every job is a little different, so we quote each one individually. Size, access and the product the joint needs all make a difference, and we will explain the quote if you ask.
What you get with us

Bathrooms and kitchens in Wildmoor
Hard water is the norm across most of the South East, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings, and it has to be cleaned off before new sealant goes in.
For landlords with property near Bramley (Hants) station, fresh sealant around the bath, shower and sink between tenancies helps a property present well and keeps leaks at bay. In the older streets around Church of St. Leonard, walls and floors in older homes can move, and sealant and grout show it first. If you look after a building such as The Loddon School, washroom and kitchen sealant there needs the same care as at home, and schools and businesses are part of our work as well as homes.

DIY sealant or a professional job?
If you are set on DIY, put the effort into preparation: remove every trace of old sealant, clean and dry the joint, and follow the product’s cure time. If it fails, we can still redo it.
Not every job suits DIY: high-level joints, fire-rated gaps, external movement joints and big jobs call for the right materials, safe access and experience.

What sealant work can’t fix
We will not take on work that will not last, so these are the limits:
- Loose or hollow tiles, or failed tanking behind them
- A tray that rocks until it’s re-bedded
- A tray or bath that is cracked through
Not sure which it is? You can phone 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and we will tell you honestly before booking.
