Bathroom Resealing in Whitton
Problem with your baths, showers and worktops in Whitton? We cut out the old, prepare the joints and apply the right sealant, and the work is guaranteed for a year.
- Gaps where the bath or tray has moved
- Leaking joints on a shower screen
- Black spots spreading through the bead
How we handle bathroom resealing in Whitton
Showers work their sealant harder than baths. Tray edges, screen profiles and wet room joints all rely on silicone to stay watertight. They’re resealed with anti-fungal sanitary silicone, tooled smooth so water runs off instead of sitting in a ridge. If you have two layers of silicone, both failing and a messy, uneven bead from a previous reseal, we can help, whatever the surface.
In much of London, period terraces have been converted into flats over the years, with bathrooms fitted into whatever space was available. Small, steamy rooms are where mould gets into sealant and grout fastest, and homes in Whitton are no different.

Keeping the joints in good condition
A little care helps the new joints last. Our advice:
- Wipe up water along the back of the worktop
- Move toiletries away from the joint
- Use gentle cleaners on the silicone
- Never pick at the silicone with a blade
Good ventilation does more than any cleaner. Use the fan, or open a window, while you bathe and for a while afterwards, so the silicone gets a chance to dry.
There’s no need to wait for a full refurbishment. Sealant is a maintenance item, like the paint on a window frame, and renewing it as soon as it fails protects everything around it.
What affects the quote in Whitton
Your quote is based on your job. We take into account:
- Any working-time requirements on site
- How much there is to do
- The product the joint needs
- Whether old sealant or filler has to be cut out
There are no prices on our website, because the cost depends so much on the job itself. Call for a quick quote and we’ll talk you through it.
What to tell us for a quote
A few details help us give you an accurate quote. When you get in contact, it helps to mention:
- If it’s domestic, commercial or a hotel
- Roughly how big the job is
- A few photos by email, if you can
- The address or postcode of the job
To get a quote, phone 0345 464 0079 or email us and tell us where the job is and what the problem looks like. We’ll send you a clear quote before any work starts.
When it is not the sealant
We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what sealant can’t fix:
- Water getting in through the grout rather than the sealant
- A tray or bath that’s cracked through
- Damage behind the tiles that needs a tiler
If you are not sure, just ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

The process
Our applicators work methodically: protect, prepare, seal, tidy. For most jobs that takes a couple of hours for one bath or shower, or most of a day for a full bathroom and kitchen, and the area is left clean. In a London area like Whitton, the main things to plan are parking and access: let us know about parking, the floor we will be working on and any lift or shared entrance.
- We look at every joint first and check for movement or leaks.
- The old silicone is cut out completely, along with the film it leaves on the tiles.
- The joint is cleaned, degreased and treated for mould.
- With the joint dry, and any bath loaded with water, a single bead of anti-fungal silicone is applied.
- The bead is tooled smooth and you are told the cure time, normally around 24 hours.
How to prepare
- Try not to wet indoor joints just before the visit
- Tell us if parking is tricky
- Keep pets and children clear of the area while we work

Advice
Whitton questions
Can you help a landlord with a rental near Whitton station?
Yes. We work for landlords and agents as well as householders, and several properties can be quoted together. You can phone 0345 464 0079 or send us an email with the details for a clear quote.
Can worn sealant in a flat in Whitton cause a leak downstairs?
Yes, and the first sign is often a stain on the ceiling below. Cutting out the old sealant and laying a new bead early stops it getting that far.
Is there any odour?
Sometimes, a little. It fades as the sealant cures.
Should I try DIY first?
Some simple jobs can be done by a careful DIYer. The usual mistakes are sealing over old sealant, sealing a damp joint and using too much.
Do you have insurance?
Yes. We are fully insured, and we’ve been doing sealant work for more than 20 years.
Are you an approved applicator?
Yes. We hold ARBOMaster approved applicator status, and we’re fully insured.
My sealant has gone black. Can you sort it?
Yes, we can. The old sealant comes out, the mould is treated, and we reseal with anti-fungal sanitary silicone.
Do you cover Whitton?
We do. Our applicators work in Whitton, and the service is the same as everywhere else.

What else we do in Whitton
Whitton homes and their sealant
London has hard water, which leaves limescale on sealant, grout and taps, and it has to be cleaned off before new sealant goes in. In a London flat, water from a failed bath or shower seal can reach the neighbours below, which is why it’s worth fixing early.
In the older streets around All Saints Church, older homes can move a little, which is hard on rigid grout and tired sealant. Managing a site like Royal Military School of Music? Then we reseal washrooms and kitchens in schools and businesses as well as homes. Letting a property close to Whitton station? Then a reseal between tenants is a quick way to make the bathroom and kitchen look cared for.

Work for landlords, hotels and businesses
Water getting past a failed joint can damage the building, which matters even more when someone else lives there. Resealing at the right time is simple maintenance that we can handle for you.
From a single let to a portfolio, the work is the same standard: old sealant fully removed, joints prepared properly and a 12-month guarantee.
Why deal with it now?
Fresh sealant smartens a bathroom or kitchen with very little disruption, which helps when a home is being let or put on the market. A smeared, uneven DIY bead does the opposite, and it’s harder to put right later. In London conversions, one flat’s bathroom is often above another flat’s ceiling, and a slow leak from a failed seal can end up in the flat below. Putting it right early is much less trouble.
A few things move the cost up or down: the old material and how easily it comes out, whether mould needs treating, and whether the work is at height. We take all of that into account in your quote.
Why us?
- Colour agreed with you before we start

Should I try it myself first?
If you do try it yourself, take your time over the preparation: take out all the old sealant, make sure the joint is clean and dry, and give it the full cure time. If it does not work out, we can still put it right.
Some jobs are best left to a professional: work at height, external movement joints, fire-rated sealant and large areas call for the right materials, safe access and experience.
