Bathroom & kitchen resealing in Westfield, East Sussex
Our applicators work in Westfield on bath, shower, basin, wet room, worktop and sink resealing. Old sealant removed completely, joints prepared properly and a one-year guarantee.
- A messy, uneven bead from a previous reseal
- Two layers of silicone, both failing
- A bead that has pulled away from the tiles
How we handle bathroom resealing in Westfield
Homes in Westfield have the same weak spots as anywhere else: bath edges, tray joints, basin backs and kitchen upstands. Each one is stripped, cleaned and dried before new silicone goes in. If you’re dealing with leaks into the floor or ceiling below and splits where the tray meets the wall, we can put it right, whatever the surface.
Being in a small place like Westfield makes no difference to the job itself: it just means planning the journey and access beforehand. In the bathroom or kitchen, the work is the same as in any town.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee.

What we can’t put right
It helps to know what we cannot do too:
- A tray that rocks until it’s re-bedded
- Loose or hollow tiles, or failed tanking behind them
- Water getting in through the grout rather than the sealant
If in doubt, ring 0345 464 0079 or email us and we will say what we think before you book.

Quotes for bathroom resealing in Westfield
The price is agreed before any work begins. It takes into account:
- Mould in or behind the old joints
- Access and height
- How many rooms, windows or areas are involved
- When we can work, for business premises
What it costs depends on the amount of work, how hard the old material is to remove and access to the work. You’ll have a clear quote before any work starts, so you know where you stand.
What we need to know
When you call or email, these details help:
- How many joints, rooms or windows are involved
- If someone has resealed it before
- Any access issues, like height or stairs
- If it’s domestic, commercial or a hotel
There’s no standard price list, because every job is different. Instead, we give you a clear price for your job. To arrange one, ring 0345 464 0079 or email us.
How it works
Before we leave, we go over the finished joints with you. The work normally takes two to three hours for a typical bath, depending on how much old sealant there is, depending on the size of the job. In a small place like Westfield, access is normally the main thing to plan. If the job is outside, mention outbuildings, exposed walls and how to reach them.
- We look at every joint first and check for movement or leaks.
- Every trace of the old bead is removed, including the thin smear on the tiles.
- Joints are degreased and any mould is treated.
- When the joint is dry, and a bath has been filled with water, the new silicone goes on.
- The bead is tooled smooth and you are told the cure time, generally around 24 hours.
Getting ready for the visit
- Tell us about access, such as stairs, a lift or high-level joints
- Mention any sign-in or site rules at work premises
- Try not to wet indoor joints just before the visit

How to look after the new joints
Simple care keeps the joints in good condition. We recommend:
- Keep the fan on for a while after bathing
- Let new sealant cure fully before it gets wet
- Avoid abrasive pads on the sealant
- Wipe up water along the back of the worktop
Good ventilation does more than any cleaner. Use the fan, or open a window, while you bathe and for a while afterwards, so the silicone gets a chance to dry.
Each shower pushes a little more water through a failed joint. Over time that water reaches floors, walls and ceilings. Resealing early stops it.
Should I try it myself first?
Not every job suits DIY: work at height, external movement joints, fire-rated sealant and large areas call for the right materials, safe access and experience.
A DIY attempt does not rule out a professional job. We remove it and do the joint properly, so just mention it when you contact us.
Bathrooms and kitchens in Westfield
Hard water is the norm across most of the South East, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings.
Letting a property close to Doleham station? Then mouldy sealant is one of the first things a new tenant notices, so it’s worth renewing between lets. If you live in an older home near The Parish Church of St John the Baptist, older homes can move a little, which is hard on rigid grout and tired sealant. If you look after a building such as Westfield School, its toilets, changing areas and kitchens need their sealant renewed like any other building’s.

Your questions about bathroom resealing in Westfield
Is Westfield in your area for bathroom resealing?
Yes, Westfield is within the area we cover. Our work covers London and the South East. You can call 0345 464 0079 or email us and tell us what needs doing.
Do you cover smaller places like Westfield?
Yes, we do. Our work covers London and the South East, and smaller places are part of that. Longer journeys are simply planned in advance.
Will there be a smell?
Possibly a little. It fades as the sealant cures, and ventilation helps.
How long does the new silicone need before I use the shower?
Generally after around 24 hours. We’ll tell you the cure time for the product we used.
Will you leave a mess?
Tidy work is part of the job. Nearby surfaces are protected.
Is it OK to put new sealant on top of the old bead?
No. Fresh silicone can’t stick to the old bead, so it lifts and traps water and mould underneath. We always take the old sealant out completely.
Are you fully insured?
Yes. We’re fully insured.
Do you work for letting agents?
Yes, regularly. Several properties can go on one quote, and between tenancies is a good time for the work.
Different surfaces, different methods
Basins & vanity units
The back of a basin gets wet every time someone washes. Corners behind basins are where mould tends to start, and we treat it exactly as we would a bath.
Sinks & splashbacks
Splashbacks in glass, tile or acrylic meet the worktop in a long joint. It’s resealed in white, clear or a colour to suit.
