Bathroom Resealing in Jersey Farm
We cover Jersey Farm for bath, shower, basin, wet room, worktop and sink resealing. Old sealant removed completely, joints prepared properly and every job guaranteed for a year.
- Smears of silicone across the tiles
- A joint torn by a bath that flexes
- Failed sealant on the screen profile
Why act early in Jersey Farm
Tired sealant is not a reason to replace a bath or shower. A new bead often brings the whole room back, provided the bath, tray and tiles are in good order. If we find a deeper problem, you will hear it from us. Around Jersey Farm, water from a failed joint in an older home can soak into timber and plaster, which is far harder to put right than the sealant itself.
There are no prices on our website, because the cost depends so much on the job itself. Call for a quick quote.

About our bathroom resealing in Jersey Farm
Across Jersey Farm, the joints we reseal are the ones that fail in any home: bath edges, tray joints, basin backs and kitchen upstands. Every joint is cut out, cleaned and left dry before it’s resealed. We work on basins & vanity units, baths and shower trays & enclosures, and common reasons people get in touch are damp behind the bath or under the tray and new sealant laid over old sealant that is now lifting.
In and around Jersey Farm, older properties sit alongside newer ones. In older homes, walls and floors can move a little more, so the right flexible sealant matters.
We stand behind the work with a 12-month guarantee, so you are not left on your own once the job is done.

Quotes for bathroom resealing in Jersey Farm
Every job gets its own quote. This is what makes a difference:
- Working hours on commercial sites
- The number of rooms or windows
- How easy the joints are to reach
- Whether old sealant or filler has to be cut out
Rather than a set price list, we price the job in front of us: how many joints, what’s in them now and how we reach them. You will know the price before we begin.
What to tell us for a quote
What to tell us when you ask for a quote:
- Roughly how big the job is
- If it’s domestic, commercial or a hotel
- Pictures of the joints, sent by email
- Any previous sealing or DIY work
The more we know about the job, the more useful the quote. Let us know the location, the problem and roughly how many joints, and email photos if that’s easy.
What sealant work can’t fix
Honest advice matters more to us than a booking, so here’s what sealant cannot fix:
- Cracks in the tray itself rather than the joint
- Failed grout lines across the wall
- A leaking waste, trap or valve
Not sure which it is? You can call 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and we’ll tell you honestly.
What we seal
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Sinks & splashbacks
- Kitchen worktops & upstands
- Basins & vanity units
- Wet rooms
- Baths
How the job changes by surface
Shower trays & enclosures
Water often gets past the wall profile of a shower enclosure. It’s resealed along with the tray joints, sealing the side the enclosure’s instructions call for.
Kitchen worktops & upstands
Laminate worktops swell if water gets into the core. A sound joint along the back edge stops that.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Tell us the address, the job and how access works.
We also work for property managers and facilities teams in Jersey Farm and across Hertfordshire. Several sites can go on one quote, and we are fully insured for the work.
How it works
When we arrive, we look over the joints with you first, so you know exactly what we are doing. Surfaces next to the work are protected before any work begins. Most jobs take a morning or an afternoon for most single baths and showers. For a job in Jersey Farm, we agree the time, the access and parking before the day. If the work is outside, the weather plays a part, as sealant needs a dry surface.
- First, each joint is checked for movement and signs of water.
- Every trace of the old bead is removed, including the thin smear on the tiles.
- The joint is cleaned, degreased and treated for mould.
- When the joint is dry, and a bath has been filled with water, the new silicone goes on.
- We tool the bead to a neat finish and give you the cure time, normally around 24 hours.
How to prepare
- Tell us about any previous sealing or DIY attempts
- For business premises, tell us about site rules or sign-in
- Let us know about stairs, lifts or work at height

Advice
Looking after it afterwards
No joint lasts for ever, but care makes a real difference. Our tips:
- Keep scourers and sharp tools away from the bead
- Look for lifting corners and small gaps now and then
- Stick to a soft cloth and a mild cleaner
- Wipe up water along the back of the worktop
Good ventilation does more than any cleaner. Run the extractor fan during and after a shower, so the bead dries out between uses.
A few black dots in the silicone soon become a black line. When it has grown right through, it rarely cleans out. Catching it early keeps it a simple reseal.

Bathrooms and kitchens in Jersey Farm
Most of the South East has hard water, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings.
If you live in an older home near Saint Mary's, bathrooms in older houses have often been refitted more than once, with sealant laid over sealant. If you let a flat or house near St Albans station, fresh sealant around the bath, shower and sink between tenancies helps a property present well and keeps leaks at bay. Schools such as Skyswood Primary & Nursery School are buildings too, and its toilets, changing areas and kitchens need their sealant renewed like any other building’s.
