Ewhurst Green Bathroom Resealing
Bath, shower, basin, wet room, worktop and sink resealing for homes and businesses in Ewhurst Green and across Surrey. ARBOMaster approved applicators, fully insured, with a 12-month guarantee.
- Damp behind the bath or under the tray
- Gaps where the bath or tray has moved
- A reseal done over the top of the old bead
Why deal with it now?
Tired sealant isn’t a reason to replace a bath or shower. A new bead often brings the whole room back, as long as the fittings themselves are sound. If something else is wrong, we will tell you. Around Ewhurst Green, older homes often have timber in their floors and frames, and water through a failed joint can rot timber if it’s left.
Homes and businesses are quoted the same way: the amount of work, the access and the products needed. Ask us for a quote and we will explain what it covers.
What you get with us
- Anti-fungal sanitary silicone in wet areas
- One-year guarantee on every job

Bathroom resealing in Ewhurst Green, done properly
Across Ewhurst Green, the joints we reseal are the ones that fail in any home: the long edge of the bath, the base of the shower tray, the back of the basin and the line along the worktop. Every joint is cut out, cleaned and left dry before it’s resealed. We work on shower trays & enclosures, wet rooms and kitchen worktops & upstands, and common reasons people get in touch are water escaping at the shower enclosure and gaps where the bath or tray has moved.
Around Ewhurst Green, it’s houses and cottages rather than flats. The work is the same as anywhere: old material cut out, joints cleaned and a fresh finish laid.
Each job carries a 12-month guarantee, whatever its size.

What affects the cost of bathroom resealing
Your quote is based on your job. We look at:
- Any working-time requirements on site
- Any mould that needs treating
- How much old sealant there is and how hard it is to remove
- How many rooms, windows or areas are involved
The cost reflects the work involved, not a rough estimate. That’s why we ask a few questions first and send you a clear quote before work begins.
What to tell us for a quote
When you call or email, these details help:
- Roughly how big the job is
- Any previous sealing or DIY work
- Whether it’s a home or a business
- A few photos by email, if you can
To get a quote, phone 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and tell us where the job is and what the problem looks like. You’ll have a clear quote before we start.
When it isn’t the sealant
We’d rather tell you now than do work that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- Movement from a bath with loose feet or no proper support
- Water getting in through the grout rather than the sealant
- A cracked shower tray or bath (that needs repair or replacement)
Not sure which it is? You can ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and we will tell you honestly before booking.
Surfaces we seal

How it works
A visit follows a simple pattern: we check the joints, protect the area around them, do the work and clear up. Most jobs take a morning or an afternoon for most single baths and showers. Somewhere as small as Ewhurst Green, access is often the only tricky part. For outside work, also let us know about exposed walls and any outbuildings involved.
- We cover the area around the joints we’re working on.
- Old sealant is sliced away and the residue removed.
- Mould is treated, then the joint is left to dry thoroughly.
- Any bath is filled with water, then we lay a bead of anti-fungal silicone in white, clear or a matching colour.
- We finish the joint, clear up and tell you how long to leave it before it gets wet.
How to prepare
- Keep children and pets away from the work area
- Let us know about stairs, lifts or work at height
- On commercial sites, let us know about site rules

Advice
Looking after it afterwards
How long the joints last depends on use and care. We suggest:
- Keep an eye on the corners, where splits start
- Dry worktop joints after washing up
- Keep the fan on for a while after bathing
- Let new sealant cure fully before it gets wet
Keep water off the new bead until it has cured, following the cure time we give you. After that, a quick wipe after showering helps keep it clean.
Mould that starts as a few spots spreads through the bead. Once it’s deep in the silicone, cleaning generally will not remove it, and nearby grout often goes the same way. Catching it early keeps it a simple reseal.
Questions from Ewhurst Green
Will you come out to Ewhurst Green?
Yes. Ewhurst Green is within the area we cover, which takes in towns, villages and rural addresses. Our work covers London and the South East. Let us know about access, parking and anything unusual about getting there when you book.
Do you cover Ewhurst Green for bathroom resealing?
Yes. We work across London and the South East, and Ewhurst Green is part of that. Just ring 0345 464 0079 or send us an email with a few details of the job, and we will send you a clear quote.
Which products do you use?
Quality sealants from brands including Arbo and Everbuild, chosen to suit the joint. We explain the product when we quote.
Are you an approved applicator?
Yes. ARBOMaster is the approved applicator scheme for Arbo sealants, and we are part of it.
Does someone need to be in?
Access is agreed with you when the job is booked. Indoors, that normally means someone at home.
Can I do it myself?
Sometimes. Preparation is everything: all the old sealant out, and a clean, dry joint. We can always put it right if it fails.
Will the old sealant be removed?
Yes, every time. New silicone does not stick to old silicone, so the joint is cleaned back first.
Does the resealing come with a guarantee?
Yes, for 12 months. Good ventilation and gentle cleaning help it last.
DIY sealant or a professional job?
If you’ve already had a go yourself, that’s fine. We cut it out and start again.
If you’re set on DIY, put the effort into preparation: take out all the old sealant, make sure the joint is clean and dry, and give it the full cure time. If it fails, we can still redo it.

Bathroom resealing in Ewhurst Green: local notes
Most of the South East has hard water, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings, and it has to be cleaned off before new sealant goes in.
Schools such as Ewhurst CofE Aided Infant School are buildings too, and we reseal washrooms and kitchens in schools and businesses as well as homes. In the older streets around Church of St Peter and St Paul, older homes can move a little, which is hard on rigid grout and tired sealant. Rented homes near Ockley station change hands often, and fresh sealant around the bath, shower and sink between tenancies helps a property present well and keeps leaks at bay.
