Regrouting in Yelsted, Kent
Raking out old, cracked or stained grout and regrouting tiled walls and floors for Yelsted, backed by a 12-month guarantee. Call for a quick quote.
- Crumbling grout between the tiles
- Discoloured grout on otherwise sound tiles
- Grout stained black or orange that won’t clean
Surface by surface
Kitchen splashbacks
Kitchen grout collects grease and food splashes. Once it’s stained, new grout is often the only fix.
Bathroom wall tiles
Walls outside the shower get less water but grout there still discolours. Regrouting brings them back in line.
Regrouting for homes and businesses in Yelsted
Most regrouting jobs include resealing too. Grout is for the joints between tiles, but internal corners and edges flex, so they’re sealed with silicone rather than grout. Renewing both together means nothing is left half-done. If you have stained grout that cleaning won’t shift and greasy, stained grout behind the hob, we can put it right, on bathroom floors, shower walls and wet rooms alike.
In a village or hamlet like Yelsted, homes are often older cottages and farmhouses alongside a few newer houses. Movement in older walls and floors tends to show first as cracked grout or split sealant.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something is not right with it in that time, tell us and we’ll put it right.

Work for landlords, hotels and businesses
From a single let to a portfolio, the work is the same standard: the old material taken out, careful preparation and a 12-month guarantee.
Mouldy or split sealant often shows up at the end of a tenancy. We can quote for more than one property at once.
DIY sealant or a professional job?
A DIY attempt does not rule out a professional job. We cut it out and start again, so tell us about it when you ask for a quote.
Overfilling a joint is a classic DIY mistake. A heavy bead looks messy and copes badly with movement, and getting the depth right matters as much as the look.
What we can’t put right
A few problems are outside what sealant work can do:
- Tiles that have come away from the wall
- A leaking shower valve or waste
- Cracked or broken tiles
If in doubt, phone 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and we will say what we think.

The process
When we arrive, we look over the joints with you first. We protect the surfaces around the joints before we start. The work normally takes a few hours, or longer for a fully tiled room. For a village or hamlet like Yelsted, the journey is planned in advance: let us know about lanes, gates and parking. We bring what the job needs, so it can be finished in one trip where possible.
- We check the tiles are sound and flag any that are loose or hollow.
- The old grout comes out to a consistent depth, without damaging the tiles.
- We vacuum the joints and clean out the dust.
- Fresh grout goes into the joints and the tile faces are wiped clean.
- We reseal the internal corners and edges with silicone.
Getting ready for the visit
- Let us know about parking restrictions
- Keep pets and children clear of the area while we work
- Let us know about earlier repairs to the joints
Getting a quote
The more we know about the job, the more useful the quote. Tell us where the job is, what’s wrong and how much there is.

What else we do in Yelsted
Keeping the joints in good condition
No joint lasts for ever, but care makes a real difference. A few tips:
- Keep an eye on the silicone along the edges
- Have loose tiles looked at early
- Open a window or run the fan to clear steam
- Stick to mild products for cleaning grout
Wipe the tiles down after a shower stops soap and water sitting on the grout. Run the extractor fan or open a window so the grout dries between uses.
If grout in the shower is washing out, act soon. Each shower drives water into the open joints, and that water can reach the wall or the floor below.
Why act early in Yelsted
New grout smeared over the old does not bond well. It sits thinly on top and soon flakes away, taking any repair with it. Removing the old grout to an even depth lets the new grout key in properly. In a small place like Yelsted, homes can be exposed to wind and rain, which finds any gap, and damp in older walls is slow to dry out.
Leaving a failed joint usually makes the job bigger, not smaller, because water and mould keep working on it. If you’re unsure, ring 0345 464 0079 or email us for an honest opinion and a quote.
