Regrouting in Peters Village, done properly
Across Peters Village, we regrout tiled showers, bathrooms and kitchens. Out comes the old grout, the joints are cleaned and new grout goes in, and we finish by resealing the edges. We work on bathroom floors, shower walls and tiled floors, and common reasons people get in touch are floor grout that has worn and darkened and splashback grout that has darkened.
Around Peters Village, you will mostly find houses and bungalows, some older and some much newer. Bathrooms and kitchens here get the same daily wear as anywhere, and the sealant and grout show it first.
Our work is backed for twelve months.

Questions from Peters Village
Do you work for landlords with property near Snodland station?
Yes, landlords and agents are among the people we work for. Just ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email with the address and what needs doing, and we’ll send you a clear quote.
Will you come out to Peters Village?
Yes, Peters Village is covered. Our work covers London and the South East, and smaller places are part of that. The journey is planned ahead, so it helps to know about access.
Is resealing included with regrouting?
Normally we do both. Grout fills tile gaps and sealant handles the moving joints, so both are renewed and include it in your quote.
What goes in the corners, grout or silicone?
Internal corners and edges are sealed with flexible silicone. Grout in those joints cracks as the building moves.
Can I do it myself?
Sometimes. Preparation is everything: all the old sealant out, and a clean, dry joint. If it does not work out, we can redo it.
Do you have insurance?
Yes. We’re fully insured.
Can you change the grout colour?
Yes, plenty of people choose to. Darker grout can hide marks, while lighter grout brightens a room.
Do you do commercial work?
Yes. We’ve worked for hotels, offices and other businesses and we’re fully insured.
Regrouting around Peters Village
Most of the South East has hard water, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings, and it has to be cleaned off before new sealant goes in.
Rented homes near Snodland station change hands often, and a regrout while the flat is empty is quicker than working around a tenant. If you look after a building such as Halling Primary School, its toilets, changing areas and kitchens need their sealant renewed like any other building’s. In the older streets around St Mary's Church, walls and floors in older homes can move, and sealant and grout show it first.

Why it’s worth doing now in Peters Village
Cracked grout lets water behind the tiles. Left alone, that water can loosen tiles or damage the wall, and then you’re looking at retiling. Sorting it early keeps the job simple. Around Peters Village, water from a failed joint in an older home can soak into timber and plaster, and that is a much bigger job than renewing the sealant.
There are no prices on our website, because each job is priced on what it involves. Call for a quick quote.

DIY sealant or a professional job?
Some jobs are best left to a professional: work at height, external movement joints, fire-rated sealant and large areas call for the right materials, safe access and experience.
Sealing over old silicone is the commonest DIY error. Silicone does not stick to old silicone, so it lifts and traps water and mould underneath. All the old material has to come out first.
Landlords, agents and businesses in Peters Village
In hotels, rooms out of use cost money, so we plan the work room by room around your bookings where we can. Hotel work is part of what we do, alongside homes and businesses.
We work for landlords and letting agents as well as homeowners. Resealing between tenancies is a simple way to keep a property in good order before the next move-in.
How the job changes by surface
Shower walls
The grout in a shower takes the brunt of the water. We replace it and renew the silicone at the edges.
Bathroom floors
Grout on a floor is walked on as well as wetted. It wears and darkens over time.
What happens on the day
Our applicators work methodically: protect, prepare, seal, tidy. Typically it takes anything from a few hours to a full day, depending on the area, and the area is left clean. In a smaller place like Peters Village, parking is seldom the issue; lanes, gates and long drives are worth mentioning. For outside work, side access and the height of the joints help us plan.
- We agree the area to be regrouted and point out any loose tiles.
- We remove the old grout carefully.
- Dust is cleared from every joint.
- The new grout goes in, then the tile faces are cleaned.
- We renew the silicone at the corners and edges.
Before we arrive
- Let us know about stairs, lifts or work at height
- Let us know if you’ve seen damp or leaks
- Mention if the joints have been sealed before

Looking after it afterwards
Simple care keeps the joints in good condition. Our advice:
- Keep an eye on the silicone along the edges
- Give the walls a quick rinse after use
- Stick to mild products for cleaning grout
- Wipe or squeegee the shower walls
If a tile starts to feel loose, get it looked at early. A loose tile cracks the grout around it and open a path for water.
Small problems with grout are quick to put right. Left for a few years, they can become a leak, so get it looked at when you notice it.
