Regrouting in North Camp, Hampshire
We cover North Camp for raking out old, cracked or stained grout and regrouting tiled walls and floors. Old sealant removed completely, joints prepared properly and a 12-month guarantee.

About our regrouting in North Camp
We check the tiles before any grout comes out. If any tiles are loose or sound hollow, we tell you, since new grout cannot fix a problem underneath. With sound tiles, regrouting is a tidy, lasting improvement. We work on bathroom wall tiles, shower walls and kitchen splashbacks, and the jobs we see most are gaps where the shower grout has gone and grout in corners that has cracked.
In a smaller place like North Camp, homes are mostly houses and bungalows rather than flats, some older and some much newer. Bathrooms and kitchens here get the same daily wear as anywhere, and the sealant and grout show it first.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there’s a problem with our work within the year, let us know and we will sort it.

What regrouting looks like in North Camp
Hard water is the norm across most of the South East, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings, and it has to be cleaned off before new sealant goes in.
For site and facilities teams at buildings such as St Mark's Church of England Aided Primary School, we reseal washrooms and kitchens in schools and businesses as well as homes. Homes close to St Mark include some older properties, and timber floors under older bathrooms flex, so joints need a sealant that moves with them.
North Camp is about 1 mile south-east of Farnborough, in Hampshire. North Camp is one of 683 towns and villages in Hampshire where we work. There’s also a page for Reading, about 15 miles away.

Signs you need regrouting in North Camp
Strong cleaning products and hard scrubbing slowly erode grout. Bleach and acidic limescale removers can attack it over time, leaving the joints sunken and rough.
These are the problems we’re asked about most:
- Floor grout that has worn and darkened
- Grout that’s cracking and breaking up
- Grout in a colour the owner wants to change
- Grout washed out of a shower
Rented homes near North Camp station change hands often, and a regrout while the flat is empty is quicker than working around a tenant.
What to look for in a quote
- Whether they’re fully insured
- Who turns up on the day
- Whether VAT is included
- How the surfaces are prepared before sealing
What we do, step by step
Before we leave, we go over the finished joints with you and tell you how long to leave it. The work normally takes anything from a few hours to a full day, depending on the area, depending on the size of the job. A visit to North Camp is planned like any other: the time, the access and where to park are agreed in advance. Outdoor jobs depend on a dry day, since sealant needs a dry surface.
- We check the tiles for any that are hollow or loose.
- We rake out the grout evenly, protecting the tile edges.
- The joints are vacuumed clean.
- We regrout the joints and clean the tile faces.
- We finish with silicone in the moving joints.
Before we arrive
- Try not to wet indoor joints just before the visit
- Clear the area around the work
- Plan for the work area to be out of bounds to pets and children

Related advice
What sealant work cannot fix
A few problems are outside what sealant work can do:
- Waterproofing that has failed below the tiling
- Movement in a stud wall or floor
- Leaks from pipes, valves or wastes (a plumber’s job)
If in doubt, ring 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and we’ll say what we think before you book.
Surfaces we seal
- Wet rooms
- Bathroom wall tiles
- Bathroom floors
- Shower walls
- Tiled floors
- Kitchen splashbacks
Keeping the joints in good condition
No joint lasts for ever, but care makes a real difference. Our tips:
- Wipe or squeegee the shower walls
- Have loose tiles looked at early
- Clean with a soft brush, not anything metal
- Keep the fan on after showering
We will tell you when the area can be used again. Please follow it, and avoid scrubbing the new grout hard for the first few days.
Leaving failed grout can mean tiles come loose. Once that happens, regrouting won’t fix it so early action pays.

What affects the cost of regrouting
You’ll get a clear quote before we start. It takes into account:
- The number and length of the joints
- When we can work, for business premises
- The old material and how stubborn it is
- How many rooms, windows or areas are involved
Combining jobs into one visit generally makes better use of the time than several visits, so tell us about everything that needs sealing. You’ll get one clear quote for the whole job.
What we need to know
Before you ask for a quote, have a think about:
- Whether it’s a home or a business
- Any previous sealing or DIY work
- Roughly how big the job is
- How we’d reach the joints
It all starts with a short chat. Describe the problem, the location and the size of the job. Whenever you’re ready, ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email.
North Camp questions
Can you do regrouting in North Camp?
Yes. We work across London and the South East, and North Camp is part of that. You can call 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and let us know what needs doing.
Will you come out to North Camp?
Yes. North Camp is within the area we cover, which takes in towns, villages and rural addresses. Our work covers London and the South East. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the route when you book.
Could my grout be a different colour after regrouting?
Yes. Many customers do. A darker grout hides marks better, while lighter grout brightens a room.
Is it worth trying it myself?
You can, for simple jobs. The key is preparation: remove all the old material and work on a clean, dry joint. If it doesn’t work out, we can redo it.
Do you regrout part of a bathroom, like the shower?
Yes. We will check the other tiled areas as well and tell you if anything else needs attention.
How long does the job take?
As a guide, most jobs take anything from a few hours to a full day, depending on the area. Larger jobs naturally take longer, and we will say how long yours will take.
Do you remove the old sealant?
Yes, always, and completely. New sealant will not bond properly to old, so any old material comes out before anything new goes in.
When can I use the shower again?
Before we leave, we will tell you how long to wait. The grout and sealant both need to cure before they get wet.
DIY versus a professional finish
What a professional job adds is preparation and the right product. Joints are cleaned back to sound surfaces and dried, and the sealant is matched to the joint and its conditions, then guaranteed for a year.
Some jobs are best left to a professional: work at height, external movement joints, fire-rated sealant and large areas need the right product, the right access and the right method.
For landlords and businesses
Hotels need rooms back in use, so we plan the work room by room. We’ve worked in hotels as well as homes and businesses.
For anyone letting property in or around North Camp, jobs at different addresses can go on one quote. Just tell us the addresses and what each one needs, and pictures by email help.
