Regrouting around Ebbsfleet
Ebbsfleet is within about 2 miles of the coast. Coastal homes, holiday lets and guest houses can see heavy bathroom use in busy months, and sealant and grout that work that hard wear out sooner. Most of the South East has hard water, which leaves limescale on sealant, grout and fittings.
Around Ebbsfleet, as everywhere, regrouting is only as good as the preparation behind it. For landlords with property near Thanet Parkway station, clean grout and fresh sealant between tenancies make a bathroom look cared for again.
Ebbsfleet is about 3 miles south-west of St Lawrence, in Kent. From the centre of Ebbsfleet to the outskirts, regrouting is available for homes and businesses alike. Across Kent, we cover 922 places, and Ebbsfleet is one of them. For nearby work, see our Chelmsford page.
We cover every part of CT12 and CT13 for regrouting and the streets around it. Regrouting in Ebbsfleet
If you’ve been scrubbing grout that will not come clean, the stain is often in the grout itself. New grout is the fix that lasts and you can pick a different colour while you are at it. We work on kitchen splashbacks, tiled floors and shower walls, and people most often call us about splashback grout that has darkened and grout that makes sound tiles look old.
Homes around Ebbsfleet are mostly houses and cottages rather than flats, some with bathrooms tucked into older rooms or extensions. Sealant and grout wear out here just as they do anywhere: everything old comes out before the new sealant or grout goes in.

What we can’t put right
Some problems need a builder, plumber or other trade rather than us:
- A leaking wet room membrane
- Tiles that are loose or hollow behind
- A floor or wall that keeps moving
Not sure which it is? You can ring 0345 464 0079 or email us and we will tell you honestly.
What we seal
- Tiled floors
- Wet rooms
- Shower walls
- Bathroom floors
- Kitchen splashbacks
- Bathroom wall tiles
For landlords and businesses
From a single let to a portfolio, the work is the same standard: the old material taken out, careful preparation and a 12-month guarantee.
Hotels need rooms back in use, so we plan the work room by room. We have worked in hotels as well as homes and businesses.
The process
When we get to you, we compare the joints with what we discussed. If anything is different, we explain it before carrying on. Most jobs then take a few hours, or longer for a fully tiled room. Somewhere as small as Ebbsfleet, access is often the only tricky part. If the job is outside, mention outbuildings, exposed walls and how to reach them.
- Every tile area is checked for hollow or loose tiles first.
- The old grout is removed to an even depth.
- The joints are vacuumed clean.
- New grout is pressed into the joints and the tiles are cleaned.
- Silicone goes into the corners and along the edges.
Before we arrive
- Clear items away from the joints we are working on
- On commercial sites, let us know about site rules
- Let us know about parking restrictions
Ask for a quote
The more we know about the job, the more useful the quote. Tell us where the job is, what’s wrong and how much there is, and email photos if that is easy.
Advice
How we quote for regrouting
We do not publish a price list. The quote depends on:
- The number of rooms or windows
- The old material and how stubborn it is
- The number and length of the joints
- Whether there’s mould to deal with
The cost depends on the size of the job, how much old material has to come out and how easy the joints are to reach. You’ll have a clear quote before any work starts.
What we need to know
Photos by email are helpful but not essential. Try to tell us:
- A few photos by email, if you can
- Roughly how big the job is
- What the problem is, such as mould, gaps, leaks or cracking
- Where the job is, and your postcode
We do not publish a price list, as no two jobs are quite the same. Instead, we send you a clear quote for your job. To arrange one, ring 0345 464 0079 or send us an email.
Different surfaces, different methods
Shower walls
Most regrouting jobs include a shower. Cracked or missing grout here lets water behind the tiles.
Bathroom floors
New floor grout makes a big difference to how a bathroom looks. The edges where floor meets wall or bath get silicone.

Keeping the joints in good condition
No joint lasts for ever, but care makes a real difference. Our tips:
- Use a soft brush rather than a wire one
- Open a window or run the fan to clear steam
- Use a squeegee on the tiles after showering
- Clean grout with a mild bathroom cleaner
If a tile starts to feel loose, get it looked at early. Movement will crack the new grout and lets water in.
Fixing grout early is a small job. Left, the same problem can let water through so it’s worth dealing with as soon as you spot it.
Should I try it myself first?
Some sealant jobs are within reach of a careful DIYer, such as a straightforward joint indoors. Where it goes wrong is sealing over the old bead, working on a wet joint or overloading the gap.
A DIY attempt does not rule out a professional job. We remove it and do the joint properly, so just mention it when you contact us.
