Regrouting in Cufaude
Across Cufaude, we regrout tiled showers, bathrooms and kitchens. Out comes the old grout, the joints are cleaned and new grout goes in, and we finish by resealing the edges. If you have greasy, stained grout behind the hob and shower grout that has worn away, we can help.
Being in a small place like Cufaude makes no difference to the job itself: the journey and access are simply agreed in advance. Once we are there, the bathroom or kitchen gets the same care as anywhere else.

Cufaude homes and their sealant
Hard water is the norm across most of the South East, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings.
For site and facilities teams at buildings such as Bramley Church of England Primary School, washroom and kitchen sealant there needs the same care as at home, and schools and businesses are part of our work as well as homes. Rented homes near Bramley (Hants) station change hands often, and stained grout drags a rental down, and regrouting between lets puts that right.
Cufaude is about 4 miles north-east of Basingstoke, in Hampshire. From the centre of Cufaude to the outskirts, we cover regrouting for every kind of property, from flats and houses to offices and hotels. How the job changes by surface
Bathroom floors
Grout on a floor is walked on as well as wetted. It wears and darkens over time.
Wet rooms
Wet room grout and sealant need to be in good order. We replace the grout and reseal the edges.
Common problems we fix in Cufaude
When tiles or the wall behind them move, the grout cracks. That can be a loose tile, a flexing floor or a stud wall, which is why we check the tiles first.
Common reasons people contact us include:
- Gaps where the shower grout has gone
- Grout that’s cracking and breaking up
- Cracked grout along the bath or tray
- Kitchen splashback grout stained by grease
For an older house near a landmark such as The Vyne Chapel, bathrooms in older houses have often been refitted more than once, with sealant laid over sealant.

Questions from Cufaude
Do you cover smaller places like Cufaude?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. We work across London and the South East. Let us know about access, parking and anything unusual about getting there when you book.
Do you work for landlords with property near Bramley (Hants) station?
Yes, we work for landlords and agents. Just call 0345 464 0079 or email us and tell us about the property, and we will give you a clear price.
Is it messy?
Not at all. We work neatly, protect the area around the joints and tidy up afterwards.
Can you quote for more than one area?
Of course. Combining jobs makes good use of the visit.
Could my grout be a different colour after regrouting?
Yes. It’s the ideal time to change it. Tell us the colour you’d like when you ask for a quote.
Can you regrout just the shower?
Yes. We’ll look at the rest of the room too and tell you if anything else needs attention.
Is there any odour?
Some sealants have a smell while they cure, which fades as it sets. Opening a window helps.
What information do you need?
Only a few details: the address or postcode, what’s wrong and any access issues. Then phone 0345 464 0079 or send us an email.
Looking after it afterwards
Good habits help new joints last longer. Our tips:
- Clean with a soft brush, not anything metal
- Rinse the tiles after showering
- Have loose tiles looked at early
- Wipe or squeegee the shower walls
Clean the grout with a mild bathroom cleaner with a soft brush. Avoid neat bleach and strong acid descalers, as they can break grout down.
If grout in the shower is washing out, act soon. Every shower pushes more water into the gaps and it can end up in the wall or the ceiling below.
DIY sealant or a professional job?
A DIY attempt does not rule out a professional job. We cut it out and start again.
If you’re set on DIY, put the effort into preparation: take out all the old sealant, make sure the joint is clean and dry, and give it the full cure time. If it does not work out, we can still put it right.
What we cannot put right
Sealant is not the answer to every problem, and we will tell you before we start. Sealant will not put right:
- Leaks from pipes, valves or wastes (a plumber’s job)
- Loose tiles, which need refixing first
- Tiles that are chipped or split
If you’re not sure, just ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

What happens on the day
When we get to you, we compare the joints with what we discussed. If we find something unexpected, we talk it through with you first. Most jobs then take anything from a few hours to a full day, depending on the area. In a small place like Cufaude, access is usually the main thing to plan. If the job is outside, mention outbuildings, exposed walls and how to reach them.
- First we agree what’s being done and flag any loose tiles.
- We remove the old grout carefully.
- Dust is cleared from every joint.
- We grout the joints and wipe the tiles clean.
- Internal corners and edges are resealed.
Before we arrive
- Mention if the joints have been sealed before
- Where the joints are inside, avoid wetting them before we arrive
- Mention any leaks or damp you’ve noticed
