Regrouting in Brambridge
Tiled areas in Brambridge need attention? We remove the old material, prepare the joints and seal them properly, with a one-year guarantee.

- Dirty, worn grout on a tiled floor
Regrouting in Brambridge
When grout stays dark however much you clean it, the discolouration has normally soaked into the grout. Replacing it is the lasting answer and you can pick a different colour while you’re at it. If you’re dealing with dirty, worn grout on a tiled floor and greasy, stained grout behind the hob, we can put it right.
For a small place like Brambridge, regrouting is planned like any other job: the journey and access are simply agreed in advance. In the bathroom or kitchen, the work is the same as in any town.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something is not right with it in that time, tell us and we will put it right.

FAQs for Brambridge
Will you come out to Brambridge?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. We work across London and the South East. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the route when you book.
Can you help a landlord with a rental near Shawford station?
Yes, rental work is part of what we do. You can phone 0345 464 0079 or email us with the address and a few details, and we’ll give you a fixed price before any work starts.
Can I do it myself?
It depends on the job. High-level, external movement and fire-rated joints are professional jobs, while a short indoor joint may be within reach.
Do you have insurance?
Yes. We’re fully insured for domestic and commercial work.
What does regrouting cost?
The cost depends on the size of the job, access and how much old sealant has to come out. Call for a quick quote and we will talk you through it.
Is resealing included with regrouting?
In most cases, yes. Corners and edges need flexible silicone, and it makes sense to renew both together.
Is the work guaranteed?
Every job comes with our 12-month guarantee, and we’re fully insured.
Do you remove the old sealant?
Yes, always, and completely. New sealant will not bond properly to old, so the joint is cleaned back first.
Common problems we fix in Brambridge
Soap scum and limescale build up on grout that is hard to shift. The grout beneath can stain and weaken, which is when replacing it makes sense.
Common reasons people contact us include:
- Grout that stays dark however much it’s cleaned
- Kitchen splashback grout stained by grease
- Good tiles let down by tired grout
- Old grout in a dated colour
In the older streets around Church of the Holy Trinity, walls and floors in older homes can move, and sealant and grout show it first.
What your quote should include
- How hidden problems are handled
- When the joint can take water or movement
- What insurance they hold
- How long the guarantee is
Regrouting in Brambridge: local notes
Most of the South East has hard water, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings.
For site and facilities teams at buildings such as Colden Common Primary School, we reseal washrooms and kitchens in schools and businesses as well as homes. For landlords with property near Shawford station, a regrout while the flat is empty is quicker than working around a tenant.

How the job changes by surface
Bathroom floors
Cracked floor grout can point to movement underneath. We look for loose tiles first.
Kitchen splashbacks
Splashback grout picks up grease and cooking stains. Stained grout is best replaced.
What happens on the day
On the day, we start by going over the job with you, so there are no surprises. We protect the surfaces around the joints before we start. Most jobs take a few hours for a shower enclosure, longer for a whole room. Somewhere like Brambridge needs a little journey planning: let us know about lanes, gates and parking. We bring what the job needs, so it can be finished in one trip where possible.
- We start by checking the tiles for any that are loose or hollow.
- The old grout comes out to a consistent depth, without damaging the tiles.
- We vacuum the joints and clean out the dust.
- New grout is worked into the joints and cleaned off the tile faces.
- The corners and edges get new silicone, because grout there would crack.
How to prepare
- Mention any leaks or damp you’ve noticed
- Keep children and pets away from the work area
- Mention if the joints have been sealed before
How to get a quote
Call for a quick quote, or email us if that’s easier. Describe what needs sealing and we will explain what’s involved and give you a clear quote.
Advice
How we quote for regrouting
Every job gets its own quote. This is what makes a difference:
- Working hours on commercial sites
- The product the joint needs
- The size of the job
- How much old sealant there is and how hard it is to remove
Some things make a job bigger or smaller: the old material and how easily it comes out, any mould to treat, and whether we need extra access for height. Your quote takes all of that into account.
What we need to know
To make quoting easier, please include:
- Any previous sealing or DIY work
- Where the property is
- How we’d reach the joints
- If it’s domestic, commercial or a hotel
We quote each job on its own, so start by telling us what you need. Simply call 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and describe the job, and pictures are welcome.
What sealant work cannot fix
We will always be straight with you, so here’s what sealant can’t fix:
- Tiles that are chipped or split
- Failed tanking or waterproofing under the tiles
- A leaking shower valve or waste
If in doubt, ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and we will say what we think before you book.
Joints and surfaces we work on
- Wet rooms
- Bathroom floors
- Tiled floors
- Kitchen splashbacks
- Bathroom wall tiles
- Shower walls
Looking after it afterwards
Looking after new joints is easy, and it makes a real difference:
- Keep the fan on after showering
- Do not use strong acidic cleaners on grout
- Use a soft brush rather than a wire one
- Do not ignore a tile that feels loose
A squeegee or cloth over the tiles after use keeps water off the grout. Ventilate the room well to help it dry out.
Small problems with grout are quick to put right. Left, the same problem can let water through so it’s worth dealing with as soon as you spot it.

Can I do it myself?
What a professional job adds is preparation and the right product. Joints are cleaned back to sound surfaces and dried, and the sealant is matched to the joint and its conditions, then guaranteed for a year.
Not every job suits DIY: high-level joints, fire-rated gaps, external movement joints and big jobs need the right product, the right access and the right method.
