Bathroom resealing for homes and businesses in Sarisbury
Across Sarisbury, the joints we reseal are the ones that fail in any home: bath edges, tray joints, basin backs and kitchen upstands. Every joint is cut out, cleaned and left dry before it’s resealed. If you’re dealing with a messy, uneven bead from a previous reseal and water getting behind the bath panel, we can put it right.
In and around Sarisbury, older properties sit alongside newer ones. In older homes, walls and floors can move a little more, so the right flexible sealant matters.
There’s a 12-month guarantee on every job.

What affects the quote in Sarisbury
Some jobs are bigger than they look, and some smaller. The main factors:
- The product the joint needs
- Whether there’s mould to deal with
- How much there is to do
- The old material and how stubborn it is
A failed joint rarely gets cheaper to fix by waiting, because water and mould keep working on it. If you’re not sure whether it needs doing, phone 0345 464 0079 or email us for an honest opinion and a quote.
Helping us quote
There’s no need for technical detail. It helps if you can tell us:
- The problem you’ve noticed
- Access, such as stairs, a lift or height
- Any previous sealing or DIY work
- Where the property is
Quotes start with a quick conversation. Describe the problem, the location and the size of the job, and we’ll explain how we’d tackle it. Whenever you are ready, call 0345 464 0079 or send us an email.
Questions from Sarisbury
Is Sarisbury in your area for bathroom resealing?
Yes, Sarisbury is within the area we cover. Our work covers London and the South East. Just phone 0345 464 0079 or email us with a few details of the job.
Is Sarisbury within the area you cover?
Yes, we do. We work across London and the South East, from towns to the smallest places. The journey is planned ahead, so it helps to know about access.
Can you reseal around my kitchen sink and worktop?
Yes. We reseal worktop upstands, sinks and splashbacks, in a kitchen-suitable sealant, matched to the worktop where it’s on show.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes. As well as householders, we work for landlords, agents, businesses and hotels.
Can I do it myself?
That depends on the joint. Work at height, movement joints, fire-rated gaps and large areas are best left to a professional.
Are you ARBOMaster approved?
Yes. ARBOMaster is the approved applicator scheme for Arbo sealants, and we’re part of it.
Can you get rid of the black mould in my sealant?
Yes. Once mould has grown into the silicone, it generally can’t be cleaned out for good, so we cut it out, treat the joint and reseal with anti-fungal silicone.
Can you do several jobs on one visit?
Yes, and it often makes sense. Combining jobs makes good use of the visit.
DIY versus a professional finish
A DIY attempt does not rule out a professional job. We remove it and do the joint properly.
If you do try it yourself, take your time over the preparation: remove every trace of old sealant, clean and dry the joint, and follow the product’s cure time. If it fails, we can still redo it.
What happens on the day
There’s no need to move everything out before we come, just the space around the work. Everything nearby is protected, and the job takes two to three hours for a typical bath, depending on how much old sealant there is for a typical job. For a job in Sarisbury, we agree the time, the access and parking before the day. If the work is outside, the weather plays a part, as sealant needs a dry surface.
- First, each joint is checked for movement and signs of water.
- Every trace of the old bead is removed, including the thin smear on the tiles.
- Joints are degreased and any mould is treated.
- With the joint dry, and any bath loaded with water, a single bead of anti-fungal silicone is applied.
- We tool the bead to a neat finish and give you the cure time, normally around 24 hours.
Getting ready for the visit
- Mention any leaks or damp you’ve noticed
- Clear items away from the joints we’re working on
- Plan for the work area to be out of bounds to pets and children

Advice
Different surfaces, different methods
Shower trays & enclosures
If a tray moves underfoot, new silicone won’t last. We check for movement before we reseal, and tell you if it needs re-bedding first.
Sinks & splashbacks
Next to the sink, the sealant has to cope with constant water, including a food-safe sealant where that’s needed. The joint is laid neatly so it’s easy to wipe.
Sarisbury homes and their sealant
Sarisbury is close to the coast. Coastal homes, holiday lets and guest houses can see heavy bathroom use in busy months, which wears sealant and grout out faster than in a quiet home. Hard water is the norm across most of the South East, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings, and it has to be cleaned off before new sealant goes in.
For an older house near a landmark such as Church of St Paul, older homes can move a little, which is hard on rigid grout and tired sealant. If you look after a building such as Sarisbury Church of England Junior School, we reseal washrooms and kitchens in schools and businesses as well as homes. Rented homes near Swanwick station change hands often, and fresh sealant around the bath, shower and sink between tenancies helps a property present well and keeps leaks at bay.

Aftercare tips
Aftercare is simple, and it makes a real difference:
- Dry worktop joints after washing up
- Keep scourers and sharp tools away from the bead
- Give the silicone its full cure time
- Squeegee the walls and tray after use
Have a look at the joints every few months. Small splits and lifting ends are easy to catch early, and if anything looks wrong, just call 0345 464 0079 or email us.
Worktop joints fail quietly. Water gets behind the upstand and into the edge of a laminate worktop, and the board underneath can swell. A reseal in time can save the worktop.
When it isn’t the sealant
We’d rather tell you now than do work that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- A tray or bath that is cracked through
- A leaking waste, trap or valve
- Failed grout lines across the wall
If you are not sure, just call 0345 464 0079 or email us and we will give you a straight answer.

Leave it or put it right?
Tired sealant isn’t a reason to replace a bath or shower. A new bead often brings the whole room back. If something else is wrong, we will tell you. In an older home around Sarisbury, damp from a failed joint can get into timber and plaster, which is far harder to put right than the sealant itself.
