Bathroom & kitchen resealing in Normandy, Surrey
Baths, showers and worktops in Normandy need attention? We cut out the old, prepare the joints and apply the right sealant.
- Smears of silicone across the tiles
- A bead that has pulled away from the tiles
- Gaps where the bath or tray has moved
Bathroom resealing around Normandy
Most of the South East has hard water, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings, and it has to be cleaned off before new sealant goes in.
Letting a property close to Wanborough station? Then fresh sealant around the bath, shower and sink between tenancies helps a property present well and keeps leaks at bay. For site and facilities teams at buildings such as Wyke Primary School, we reseal washrooms and kitchens in schools and businesses as well as homes. In the older streets around Church of St Mark, walls and floors in older homes can move, and sealant and grout show it first.

Bathroom resealing in Normandy, done properly
Resealing is a small job that makes a big difference. Black, patchy sealant makes clean tiles look tired, and a clean white or clear joint fixes it quickly. Just as important, it closes the gaps water would otherwise get through. We work on baths, wet rooms and sinks & splashbacks, and people most often call us about smears of silicone across the tiles and leaking joints on a shower screen.
Homes around Normandy are mostly houses and cottages rather than flats. The work is the same as anywhere: old material cut out, joints cleaned and a fresh finish laid.

- A tray or bath that’s cracked through
- A leaking waste, trap or valve

What else we do in Normandy
How the job changes by surface
Baths
Acrylic baths flex the most, while steel and cast iron baths move less but still settle when full. Loading the bath with water before sealing allows for it.
Wet rooms
Wet rooms rely on sound joints at floor and wall junctions. They’re resealed with anti-fungal sanitary silicone, working on the surface joints, not the tanking or drainage.
How we quote for bathroom resealing
Jobs vary more than people expect. What affects the quote:
- Whether there’s mould to deal with
- The size of the job
- The old material and how stubborn it is
- When we can work, for business premises
Rather than a set price list, we look at what your job involves: the amount of work, the old material and the access. You’ll know the price before we begin.
What to tell us for a quote
You don’t need to know the technical terms. It helps if you can tell us:
- Any access issues, like height or stairs
- What’s wrong with the joints now
- Pictures of the joints, sent by email
- The address or postcode of the job
For bathroom resealing in Normandy, call 0345 464 0079 or email us. Tell us what the problem is and where, and you’ll get a clear quote before work begins.
How to look after the new joints
Simple care keeps the joints in good condition. Our advice:
- Stick to a soft cloth and a mild cleaner
- Open a window or run the fan so the room dries
- Let new sealant cure fully before it gets wet
- Check the joints every few months for splits or lifting
Don’t stand bottles along the bead, because they trap water against the silicone. A quick squeegee after showering keeps water from sitting on the joint.
A few black dots in the silicone soon become a black line. Once it’s deep in the silicone, cleaning normally will not remove it. Catching it early keeps it a simple reseal.
How it works
We work through the job in order: protect, prepare, seal, tidy. Typically it takes a morning or an afternoon for most single baths and showers, and the area is left clean. In a small place like Normandy, access is usually the main thing to plan. If the job is outside, mention outbuildings, exposed walls and how to reach them.
- Protection goes down around the bath, shower or worktop.
- We cut away the old sealant and clean off what’s left.
- We treat any mould and let the joint dry properly.
- Baths are filled first, then anti-fungal sanitary silicone is applied in a colour to suit.
- The joint is finished neatly and we explain when it can get wet.
Getting ready for the visit
- Where the joints are inside, avoid wetting them before we arrive
- Clear the area around the work
- Keep pets and children clear of the area while we work

Normandy: your questions answered
Do you cover Normandy for bathroom resealing?
Yes, Normandy is within the area we cover. We work across London and the South East. Just phone 0345 464 0079 or send us an email with a few details of the job, and we will give you a clear price.
I let a flat near Wanborough station. Can you help?
Yes, we work for landlords and agents. Just call 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and tell us about the property, and we’ll give you a clear quote.
Can you reseal around my kitchen sink and worktop?
Yes. Worktops, sinks and splashbacks are all part of the job, with a sealant suited to kitchens, colour-matched where it shows.
How long does it take to reseal a bath or shower?
It depends on how many joints there are and how much old sealant has to come out. Allow a couple of hours for a typical bath or shower.
Will there be a smell?
There can be a smell while the sealant cures. Ventilation helps.
What information do you need?
Tell us what needs doing and where, with photos by email if possible. We’ll ask anything else we need to know.
Can you work on commercial sites?
Yes. We work in offices, washrooms, hotels and other commercial premises, as well as homes. Working times can be discussed when we quote.
Can mouldy silicone be sorted out?
Yes, we replace the mouldy bead. Sprays can fade the marks, but cutting it out and resealing is what lasts. Good ventilation helps keep it away.
Leave it or put it right?
A failed joint gets more costly to put right the longer it’s left. Once water is behind the bath, it can reach floorboards, panels and the ceiling underneath, and that’s a far bigger job than a reseal. Around Normandy, older homes often have timber in their floors and frames, where water from a failed joint can cause rot if it’s left.
The cost reflects the work involved, not a rough estimate. That’s why we ask a few questions first.
