Regrouting in Salford, Milton Keynes
Specialist regrouting for Salford: careful preparation, the right product and tidy work. Ask us for a quick quote.
- Crumbling grout between the tiles
- Grout that makes sound tiles look old
- Greasy, stained grout behind the hob
Regrouting for homes and businesses in Salford
Most regrouting jobs include resealing too. Grout belongs between tiles, but internal corners and edges flex, so they’re sealed with silicone rather than grout. Renewing both together means nothing is left half-done. If you have grout that’s cracking and breaking up and floor grout that won’t come clean, we can put it right, whatever the surface.
Homes around Salford are mostly houses and cottages rather than flats. Sealant and grout wear out here just as they do anywhere: everything old comes out before the new sealant or grout goes in.
Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by our 12-month guarantee.

FAQs for Salford
Will you come out to Salford?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. We work across London and the South East. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the route when you book.
Is Salford in your area for regrouting?
Yes. We work across London and the South East, and Salford is part of that. You can ring 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and let us know what needs doing, and we’ll give you a clear quote.
Could my grout be a different colour after regrouting?
Yes, regrouting is the time to do it. Tell us the colour you’d like when you ask for a quote.
What guarantee comes with the work?
There’s a 12-month guarantee on every job, including regrouting.
Where do you work from?
Our base is Crawley, with over 20 years’ experience. Our area covers South East England, London and Scotland.
Does someone need to be in?
Access is agreed with you when the job is booked. Indoors, that usually means someone at home.
Can I do it myself?
It depends on the job. Work at height, movement joints, fire-rated gaps and large areas are best left to a professional, while a short indoor joint may be within reach.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes. We work for householders, landlords, letting agents, businesses and hotels.
Looking after it afterwards
Joint life depends on how it’s used and looked after. We suggest:
- Keep the fan on after showering
- Don’t ignore a tile that feels loose
- Clean grout with a mild bathroom cleaner
- Avoid neat bleach and strong acid descalers on grout
If a tile starts to feel loose, get it looked at early. A loose tile cracks the grout around it and open a path for water.
If grout in the shower is washing out, act soon. Each shower drives water into the open joints and it can end up in the wall or the ceiling below.
How we quote for regrouting
You’ll get a clear quote before work begins. It takes into account:
- Whether old sealant or filler has to be cut out
- Whether the work is at height
- The size of the job
- Any working-time requirements on site
Combining jobs into one visit is normally more efficient than separate visits. You will get one clear quote for the whole job.
What to tell us for a quote
When you call or email, it’s useful to know:
- How we’d reach the joints
- How many joints, rooms or windows are involved
- If someone has resealed it before
- The problem you’ve noticed
To get a quote, phone 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email with the location and a short description of the problem. You will have a clear quote before any work starts.
How the visit works
All our tools and materials come with us in the van. After a quick look at the joints together, the area is protected and the work begins. It normally takes anything from a few hours to a full day, depending on the area. Somewhere like Salford needs a little journey planning: let us know about lanes, gates and parking. We bring what the job needs, so it can be finished in one trip where possible.
- First we agree what’s being done and flag any loose tiles.
- Grout is raked out without chipping the tiles.
- Dust is cleared from every joint.
- We grout the joints and wipe the tiles clean.
- We renew the silicone at the corners and edges.
Getting ready for the visit
- Mention any sign-in or site rules at work premises
- Try not to wet indoor joints just before the visit
- Mention if the joints have been sealed before

DIY sealant or a professional job?
If you are set on DIY, put the effort into preparation: take out all the old sealant, make sure the joint is clean and dry, and give it the full cure time. If it fails, we can still redo it.
The biggest DIY mistake is sealing over old sealant. New silicone will not bond to old, so it lifts and traps water and mould underneath. All the old material has to come out first.
When something else is needed
Sealant is not the answer to every problem, and we will tell you before we start. Sealant won’t put right:
- Tiles that are chipped or split
- Water coming from plumbing rather than grout
- A structure that flexes behind the tiles
If in doubt, call 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and we will say what we think.
Joints and surfaces we work on
- Wet rooms
- Kitchen splashbacks
- Bathroom floors
- Tiled floors
- Bathroom wall tiles
- Shower walls
What we are called out for in Salford
Grout used in corners or along the bath cracks because those joints flex. They need flexible sealant, and when they aren’t, water gets in.
The problems people generally mention when they call include:
- Grout that stays dark however much it’s cleaned
- Good tiles let down by tired grout
- Cracked or crumbling grout lines
- Grout in corners that has cracked
If you live in an older home near Church of St Mary the Virgin, walls and floors in older homes can move, and sealant and grout show it first.
