About our regrouting in Lamberhurst Quarter
Changing the grout colour is a simple way to update tiles. Light grout can go darker to hide marks, or the other way round. Just mention the colour you’d like when you ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email. We work on bathroom wall tiles, wet rooms and kitchen splashbacks, and the jobs we see most are grout that’s cracking and breaking up and a grout colour that no longer suits the room.
Somewhere as small as Lamberhurst Quarter, homes tend to be cottages, farmhouses or converted buildings, with some newer houses too. Older walls and timber floors can move a little, and cracked grout and split sealant are often the first signs.
There’s a 12-month guarantee on every job, whatever its size.

Different surfaces, different methods
Bathroom floors
If floor grout keeps cracking, the floor may be moving. We look for loose tiles first.
Kitchen splashbacks
Splashback grout picks up grease and cooking stains. Once it’s stained, new grout is often the only fix.
What happens on the day
The work is kept neat and contained to the area we are working on, so you can carry on as normal. Expect the work to take anything from a few hours to a full day, depending on the area, and we explain the cure time before we leave. Somewhere like Lamberhurst Quarter needs a little journey planning: let us know about lanes, gates and parking. We bring what the job needs, so it can be finished in one trip where possible.

Advice
Bathrooms and kitchens in Lamberhurst Quarter
Most of the South East has hard water, which leaves limescale on sealant, grout and fittings, and it has to be cleaned off before new sealant goes in.
For landlords with property near Frant station, stained grout drags a rental down, and regrouting between lets puts that right. Around Lamberhurst Quarter, as everywhere, regrouting is only as good as the preparation behind it.

Can I do it myself?
What a professional job adds is preparation and the right product. We take joints back to clean, dry surfaces, and the sealant is chosen for how the joint moves and where it is, then guaranteed for a year.
Not every job suits DIY: high-level joints, fire-rated gaps, external movement joints and big jobs need the right product, the right access and the right method.
Landlords, agents and businesses in Lamberhurst Quarter
Housing providers, facilities teams and property managers book us too. We can quote a run of properties together.
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, what’s needed and the access arrangements.
When something else is needed
Some problems need a builder, plumber or other trade rather than us:
- Cracked or broken tiles
- Loose tiles, which need refixing first
- Movement in a stud wall or floor
Not sure which it is? You can phone 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Leave it or put it right?
Grouting over old grout rarely lasts. A thin skin on top tends to break off, taking any repair with it. Removing the old grout to an even depth lets the new grout key in properly. Older cottages and farmhouses around Lamberhurst Quarter can have timber floors and frames, where water from a failed joint can cause rot if it’s left.
There are no prices on our website, because each job is priced on what it involves. Call for a quick quote.

Questions from Lamberhurst Quarter
Will you come out to Lamberhurst Quarter?
Yes. Lamberhurst Quarter is within the area we cover, which takes in towns, villages and rural addresses. Our work covers London and the South East. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the route when you book.
Do you work for landlords with property near Frant station?
Yes, rental work is part of what we do. Just phone 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and tell us about the property, and we’ll give you a clear quote.
Do you hold any approvals?
Yes. We are ARBOMaster approved, the scheme for applicators of Arbo sealants.
What guarantee comes with the work?
Our one-year guarantee covers every job.
Are you insured?
Yes. We are fully insured.
Is regrouting a chance to pick a new grout colour?
It can. With the old grout removed, the new colour fills the whole joint rather than sitting on top.
Do I have to be there?
We need access to the joints, so we’ll agree that with you when we book. For inside work, that normally means someone being in.
Is it OK to seal over old sealant?
No, it will not last. It can look neat for a few weeks, but the new layer lifts away from the old one. The old sealant has to come out completely.
How to look after the new joints
So the new joints stay in good condition:
- Keep the fan on after showering
- Have loose tiles looked at early
- Clean grout with a mild bathroom cleaner
- Use a squeegee on the tiles after showering
If a tile starts to feel loose, get it looked at early. A loose tile cracks the grout around it and lets water in.
Tiles can come away if failed grout is left. Once that happens, regrouting won’t fix it, so it’s worth acting early.
