Gutter sealing for homes and businesses in Upper Froyle
Gaps along uPVC fascias and soffits look untidy and can let in water and draughts. They’re sealed in a matching colour where possible. If you are dealing with old gutter sealant that has let go and streaks down the brickwork from a leaking joint, we can help, on uPVC fascias, garage door frames and gutter joints alike.
External sealant needs dry, clean surfaces, so work around Upper Froyle is planned for dry weather. Tell us about access to all sides of the building, including outbuildings and garages.
Your job is guaranteed for a year, as with all our work.

Can I do it myself?
What a professional job adds is preparation and the right product. We take joints back to clean, dry surfaces, and the sealant is matched to the joint and its conditions.
If you do try it yourself, take your time over the preparation: remove every trace of old sealant, clean and dry the joint, and follow the product’s cure time. If it fails, we can still redo it.
What we can’t put right
A few problems are outside what sealant work can do:
- Brackets that have snapped or loosened
- Guttering that needs replacing
- Leaks from the roof rather than a joint
If in doubt, ring 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and we will say what we think.

The process
Most of a good job is in the preparation, so that is where we spend the time. Joints are cleaned back and dried before anything new goes in. In total, it normally takes anything from an hour or two to a few hours. In a small place like Upper Froyle, access is normally the main thing to plan. If the job is outside, mention outbuildings, exposed walls and how to reach them.
- First, we find the drip and check the gutter isn’t cracked or sagging.
- Old sealant and dirt are removed from the joint.
- We make sure the joint is dry before sealing.
- We seal the joint with a sealant made for gutters and outdoor use.
- We look along the gutter and clear debris around the joints.
Preparing for the visit
- Tell us if parking is tricky
- Keep pets and children clear of the area while we work
- For business premises, tell us about site rules or sign-in

Leave it or put it right?
Leaving a leaking end cap can send water down the wall all winter. It’s a small job to put right compared with treating damp later. Where a wall is exposed, as many are in small places like Upper Froyle, wind-driven rain gets into any failed joint, and damp in older walls is slow to dry out.
There are no prices on our website, because each job is priced on what it involves. Call for a quick quote and we’ll talk you through it.

Upper Froyle questions
Do you work for landlords with property near Bentley (Hampshire) station?
Yes, we work for landlords and letting agents. You can ring 0345 464 0079 or email us with the address and a few details, and we’ll give you a fixed price before any work starts.
Do you cover smaller places like Upper Froyle?
Yes, we do. Our work covers London and the South East, and smaller places are part of that. Longer journeys are simply planned in advance.
Will you clear out my gutters?
We clear debris around the joints we’re sealing. A full clean of the gutters isn’t part of it.
What about gutters on a second or third storey?
Low gutters are simple to reach. For higher work, tell us about access and we’ll confirm what’s needed.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, we’re fully insured for every job we do.
Is it possible to stop a gutter joint dripping with sealant?
In most cases, yes. A sagging or cracked gutter needs more than sealant, and we will tell you.
Is the work guaranteed?
Our 12-month guarantee applies to all our work.
How long will you be here?
That depends on the amount of work, but most jobs take anything from an hour or two to a few hours. We’ll tell you when we quote.
What affects the quote in Upper Froyle
Your quote is based on your job. We take into account:
- Access and height
- The size of the job
- When we can work, for business premises
- How much old sealant there is and how hard it is to remove
Some things make a job bigger or smaller: the old material and how easily it comes out, any mould to treat, and whether the work is at height. We take all of that into account in your quote.
What we need to know
Photos help, but a description is a good start. Try to tell us:
- If someone has resealed it before
- Pictures of the joints, sent by email
- The problem you’ve noticed
- The address or postcode of the job
The more we know about the job, the more useful the quote. Let us know the location, the problem and roughly how many joints.
Looking after it afterwards
So the new joints stay in good condition:
- Get leaks sealed before the wet months
- Look for streaks or damp on the wall below gutters
- Rest ladders on the wall, not the gutter
- Get a dropping gutter looked at quickly
Make sure downpipes are not blocked so the gutter can drain. Blockages push water back along the gutter.
The sooner a gutter leak is sealed, the less water reaches the wall. If we find a bigger problem, we will tell you.
Upper Froyle buildings and the weather
Compared with the north and west, the South East gets less rain, yet outdoor joints still have to be sealed dry, so jobs are booked with the weather in mind.
For an older house near a landmark such as Church of St Mary of the Assumption, the joints between older walls, newer extensions and the roofline need a sealant that can move. Letting a property close to Bentley (Hampshire) station? Then leaking gutter joints on a rental are best caught before they stain the walls. Managing a site like Eggar's School? Then its movement joints, gutters and trims need looking after like any other building’s.
