Bathroom Resealing in Rowfant
We cover Rowfant for bath, shower, basin, wet room, worktop and sink resealing. Old sealant removed completely, joints prepared properly and every job guaranteed for a year.
- Gaps between the worktop and the wall
- Leaking joints on a shower screen
- Sealant that has split, shrunk or peeled away
How we handle bathroom resealing in Rowfant
A bead that has gone black, split or come away shouldn’t be left until there’s a leak. Just phone 0345 464 0079 or email us with a photo of the joints, and we will give you a clear quote before any work starts. If you are dealing with gaps between the worktop and the wall and a joint torn by a bath that flexes, we can put it right, on baths, shower trays & enclosures and wet rooms alike.
Somewhere as small as Rowfant, homes tend to be cottages, farmhouses or converted buildings, with some newer houses too. Older walls and timber floors can move a little, and cracked grout and split sealant are often the first signs.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there’s a problem with our work within the year, let us know and we’ll sort it.

Work for landlords, hotels and businesses
Letting agents often deal with us directly. Tell us the address, the job and how access works and we will quote.
Housing providers, facilities teams and property managers book us too in Rowfant and across West Sussex. Several sites can go on one quote, and we’re fully insured for the work.
Should I try it myself first?
If you’re set on DIY, put the effort into preparation: remove every trace of old sealant, clean and dry the joint, and follow the product’s cure time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still put it right.
Overfilling a joint is a classic DIY mistake. A thick, smeared bead looks untidy and doesn’t move well, and the joint depth matters as much as the finish.
Why it’s worth doing now in Rowfant
Mould removers can fade the surface of a stained bead, but where mould is inside the silicone it usually comes back. Cutting it out and resealing with anti-fungal silicone is the fix that lasts. In a small place like Rowfant, homes can be exposed to wind and rain, which finds any gap, and damp in older walls is slow to dry out.
Some things make a job bigger or smaller: the old material and how easily it comes out, any mould to treat, and whether the work is at height. We take all of that into account in your quote.

What we are called out for in Rowfant
Sealant laid on a damp, dusty or greasy joint never bonds properly. Traces of soap, bath oil and old sealant stop it gripping, so a rushed job can start to lift early.
People generally contact us after spotting one of these:
- Water getting behind the bath panel
- Mouldy sealant that has gone black
- A bead that has pulled away from the tiles
- Splits where the tray meets the wall
If you look after a building such as Turners Hill CofE Primary School, we reseal washrooms and kitchens in schools and businesses as well as homes.
What your quote should include
- How much experience the applicator has
- What the quote includes, VAT included or not
- How the surfaces are prepared before sealing
- What happens if they find a problem under the old sealant
What bathroom resealing looks like in Rowfant
Rowfant has hotels and guest accommodation nearby. As well as homes, we work in hotel bathrooms, where resealing and regrouting can be done room by room. Hard water is the norm across most of the South East, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings, and it has to be cleaned off before new sealant goes in.
Letting a property close to Three Bridges station? Then mouldy sealant is one of the first things a new tenant notices, so it’s worth renewing between lets. Homes close to All Saints Parish Church include some older properties, and walls and floors in older homes can move, and sealant and grout show it first.

Rowfant questions
Do you work for landlords with property near Three Bridges station?
Yes, rental work is part of what we do. Just call 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and tell us about the property, and we will give you a clear quote.
Do you cover smaller places like Rowfant?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. We work across London and the South East. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the route when you book.
Are you ARBOMaster approved?
Yes. We hold ARBOMaster approved applicator status and we’re fully insured too.
Where do you work from?
Our base is in Crawley, West Sussex, and we work across South East England, London and Scotland.
Is it messy?
Very little: the area around the joints is protected first, and we tidy up before we go.
Can I choose the colour of the sealant?
You’re not limited to white: white, clear and colours to suit tiles and worktops. We will talk it through when we quote.
What information do you need?
Where the job is, what the problem is and roughly how big it is. Photos by email help too.
Can you do several jobs on one visit?
Of course. Combining jobs makes good use of the visit.
What we do, step by step
There is not much for you to do on the day. Point us to the joints and we’ll get on with it. The job generally takes a couple of hours for one bath or shower, or most of a day for a full bathroom and kitchen. Somewhere like Rowfant needs a little journey planning: tell us about narrow lanes, gates, long drives and where we can park. We bring what the job needs, so it can be finished in one trip where possible.
- We protect the area and cut out all of the old sealant, including the film left on the tiles.
- The joint is cleaned, degreased and treated for mould.
- Once it’s dry, any bath is filled so the bead is laid with it at its heaviest.
- We apply anti-fungal sanitary silicone in one even bead and tool it neatly.
- We clear away and tell you when it can get wet, generally after around 24 hours.
How to prepare
- Let us know about earlier repairs to the joints
- For indoor joints, keep the area dry beforehand if you can
- Let us know about stairs, lifts or work at height
How to get a quote
We quote each job on its own. Simply ring 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and describe the job and send pictures if you have them.
Related advice
Keeping the joints in good condition
Looking after new joints is easy:
- Let new sealant cure fully before it gets wet
- Wipe up water along the back of the worktop
- Move toiletries away from the joint
- Clean with a mild bathroom cleaner and a soft cloth
Have a look at the joints every few months. Small splits and lifting ends are easy to catch early, so if something does not look right, just ring 0345 464 0079 or email us.
A split bead lets water through every time the bath or shower is used. Over time that water reaches floors, walls and ceilings. Early resealing closes the gap before damage is done.
Different surfaces, different methods
Baths
Acrylic baths flex the most, while steel and cast iron baths move less but still settle when full. Loading the bath with water before sealing allows for it.
Wet rooms
Wet room floors move slightly as they’re used, so the corners need a flexible seal, not grout. Cracked grout in a corner can be cut out and replaced with silicone.
