Problem with your baths, showers and worktops in Craig's End? We cut out the old, prepare the joints and apply the right sealant, and the work is guaranteed for a year.

Bathroom resealing in Craig's End
With over 20 years in the trade, we reseal baths, showers and kitchens in homes across Craig's End. We are fully insured ARBOMaster approved applicators, and the work comes with a 12-month guarantee. We work on basins & vanity units, sinks & splashbacks and shower trays & enclosures, and common reasons people get in touch are water getting behind the kitchen upstand and sealant that has split, shrunk or peeled away.
In a village or hamlet like Craig's End, homes are often older cottages and farmhouses alongside a few newer houses. Movement in older walls and floors tends to show first as cracked grout or split sealant.
All of our work is guaranteed for twelve months, in Craig's End and everywhere else we cover.

Honest limits
New sealant can’t fix everything, and we’ll tell you before any work starts. Sealant won’t put right:
- Damage behind the tiles that needs a tiler
- Movement from a bath with loose feet or no proper support
- Water coming from the plumbing rather than the joint
If in doubt, ring 0345 464 0079 or email us and we’ll say what we think before booking.

Surface by surface
Kitchen worktops & upstands
The joint between worktop and wall takes splashes, crumbs and cleaning sprays. The new bead is colour-matched where it shows, so the line doesn’t stand out.
Shower trays & enclosures
The vertical joint where a screen profile meets the wall is a common leak point. It’s resealed along with the tray joints, following the enclosure maker’s guidance on which side to seal.
Work for landlords, hotels and businesses
Mouldy or split sealant often shows up at the end of a tenancy. We can quote for more than one property at once.
In hotels, rooms out of use cost money, so we plan the work room by room. We have worked in hotels as well as homes and businesses.
How we quote for bathroom resealing
Your quote is based on your job. We take into account:
- When we can work, for business premises
- Which sealant suits the joint
- Mould in or behind the old joints
- The number and length of the joints
We do not show prices on the website, because each job is priced on what it involves. For a quick quote, please call 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email.
What we need to know
A few details help us give you an accurate quote. When you get in contact, it helps to mention:
- If it’s domestic, commercial or a hotel
- How we’d reach the joints
- Where the job is, and your postcode
- Whether it has been sealed before
It all starts with a short chat. Describe the problem, the location and the size of the job, and we’ll talk you through what we’d do. Whenever you are ready, ring 0345 464 0079 or send us an email.
DIY versus a professional finish
If you are set on DIY, put the effort into preparation: remove every trace of old sealant, clean and dry the joint, and follow the product’s cure time. If it fails, we can still redo it.
A careful DIYer can reseal a simple joint, such as a straightforward joint indoors. Where it goes wrong is sealing over the old bead, working on a wet joint or overloading the gap.

Bathroom resealing in Craig's End: local notes
Hard water is the norm across most of the South East, which leaves limescale on sealant, grout and fittings.
In and around Craig's End, as anywhere, good bathroom resealing starts with a clean, dry, properly prepared joint. Homes close to Parish Church of St Peter and St Thomas include some older properties, and older homes can move a little, which is hard on rigid grout and tired sealant.

How it works
There’s no need to move everything out before we come, just the space around the work. We protect the rest, and the work takes half a day or less for one room, longer when the kitchen is included for a typical job. For a village or hamlet like Craig's End, the journey is planned in advance: let us know about lanes, gates and parking. We bring what the job needs, so it can be finished in one trip where possible.
- We start by protecting the area and stripping out the old bead, including the film left on the tiles.
- The joint is cleaned, degreased and treated for mould.
- Once it’s dry, any bath is filled so the bead is laid with it at its heaviest.
- We apply anti-fungal sanitary silicone in one even bead and tool it neatly.
- We clear away and tell you when it can get wet, normally after around 24 hours.
Preparing for the visit
- For business premises, tell us about site rules or sign-in
- Tell us about any previous sealing or DIY attempts
- Clear items away from the joints we are working on

Advice
Aftercare tips
How long the joints last depends on use and care. Here’s what we suggest:
- Never pick at the silicone with a blade
- Wait for the cure time we give you
- Wipe up water along the back of the worktop
- Check the joints every few months for splits or lifting
Mould needs damp, so keep the room aired. Run the extractor fan during and after a shower, so the bead dries out between uses.
Do not wait for a refit to deal with failed sealant. Like paintwork, sealant needs renewing from time to time, and replacing it when it fails protects the rest of the room.
