Bathroom resealing in Adstock
A bead that has gone black, split or come away shouldn’t be left until there’s a leak. A photo of the joints helps when you ring 0345 464 0079 or email us, and you’ll get a clear quote before any work starts. Common call-outs are for black mould in the silicone that won’t clean off and a bead that has pulled away from the tiles, on basins & vanity units, wet rooms and baths.
Somewhere as small as Adstock, homes tend to be cottages, farmhouses or converted buildings, with some newer houses too. Older walls and timber floors can move a little, and cracked grout and split sealant are often the first signs.
All of our work is guaranteed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you are.

Adstock: your questions answered
Do you cover Adstock for bathroom resealing?
Yes. Our work covers London and the South East, and Adstock is part of that. You can ring 0345 464 0079 or email us and let us know what needs doing, and we’ll give you a clear price.
Is bathroom resealing in Adstock guaranteed?
Every job comes with our one-year guarantee, wherever it is. We are also fully insured and ARBOMaster approved.
Where do you work from?
Our base is Crawley. We work across South East England, London and Scotland.
Will the old sealant be removed?
Always. Sealing over old sealant is the main reason resealing fails early, so we never do it.
Which products do you use?
Each joint gets the product that suits it. Where it moves, gets wet or faces the weather makes a difference, and we will explain our choice.
How long before the new sealant can get wet?
After around 24 hours in most cases. We’ll tell you the cure time for the product we used.
Can you quote for more than one area?
Yes. Just list everything you need and you will get one quote.
Does someone need to be in?
For indoor joints, yes, someone needs to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.
What we can’t put right
We will always be straight with you, so here’s what sealant cannot fix:
- Damage behind the tiles that needs a tiler
- Failed grout lines across the wall
- A tray that rocks until it’s re-bedded
If in doubt, call 0345 464 0079 or email us and we’ll say what we think before you book.

How the job changes by surface
Baths
Most bath leaks begin along the long edge, particularly where there’s a shower over the bath. It gets one smooth bead of anti-fungal silicone, tooled so water cannot sit on it.
Kitchen worktops & upstands
The joint between worktop and wall takes splashes, crumbs and cleaning sprays. We seal them in a colour that suits the worktop.
Leave it or put it right?
A failed joint gets more costly to put right the longer it’s left. Water that gets behind a bath soaks into the floor, the panel and sometimes the ceiling below, turning a small job into a building repair. Older cottages and farmhouses around Adstock can have timber floors and frames, and water through a failed joint can rot timber if it’s left.
The cost reflects the work involved, not a rough estimate. That’s why we ask about the job first.

How the visit works
When we get to you, we compare the joints with what we discussed. If we find something unexpected, we talk it through with you first. After that, the work takes around two hours for one bath or shower, longer for a whole bathroom. For a village or hamlet like Adstock, the journey is planned in advance: tell us about narrow lanes, gates, long drives and where we can park. We bring what the job needs, so it can be finished in one trip where possible.
- We look at every joint first and check for movement or leaks.
- The old silicone is cut out completely, along with the film it leaves on the tiles.
- Joints are degreased and any mould is treated.
- When the joint is dry, and a bath has been filled with water, the new silicone goes on.
- The bead is tooled smooth and you are told the cure time, usually around 24 hours.
Preparing for the visit
- Let us know about stairs, lifts or work at height
- Clear items away from the joints we are working on
- On commercial sites, let us know about site rules
Getting a quote
A good description makes for an accurate quote. Tell us where the job is, what’s wrong and how much there is, and email photos if that is easy.

DIY versus a professional finish
A DIY attempt doesn’t rule out a professional job. We remove it and do the joint properly, so tell us about it when you ask for a quote.
Not every job suits DIY: work at height, external movement joints, fire-rated sealant and large areas need the right product, the right access and the right method.
What bathroom resealing looks like in Adstock
Hard water is the norm across most of the South East, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings.
If you live in an older home near Church of St Cecilia, older homes can move a little, which is hard on rigid grout and tired sealant. If you look after a building such as Padbury Church of England School, washroom and kitchen sealant there needs the same care as at home, and schools and businesses are part of our work as well as homes.

Quotes for bathroom resealing in Adstock
The price is agreed before any work begins. It’s based on:
- How many rooms, windows or areas are involved
- The old material and how stubborn it is
- The size of the job
- The type of sealant required
Some things make a job bigger or smaller: the old material and how easily it comes out, whether mould needs treating, and whether we need extra access for height. We take all of that into account in your quote.
Asking for a quote
To help us quote quickly, let us know:
- If someone has resealed it before
- How we’d reach the joints
- The address or postcode of the job
- What’s wrong with the joints now
It all starts with a short chat. Describe the problem, the location and the size of the job, and we will talk you through what we’d do. Whenever you’re ready, call 0345 464 0079 or email us.
