Regrouting in Wildridings, done properly
Regrouting suits shower walls, bathroom floors, kitchen splashbacks and wet rooms. It can be a full room, others just the shower. Either way, tiled areas in Wildridings are handled the same careful way. We work on shower walls, bathroom wall tiles and bathroom floors, and the jobs we see most are grout stained black or orange that won’t clean and grout washed out of a shower.
Smaller places like Wildridings still have plenty of bathrooms that work hard every day. Whether it’s a cottage bathroom or a newer en suite, the approach is the same: old sealant or grout cut out, joints cleaned and dried, and a fresh finish laid.
Big or small, it’s backed by our one-year guarantee in Wildridings and across Bracknell Forest.

Landlord and commercial work in Wildridings
From a single let to a portfolio, the work is the same standard: the old material taken out, careful preparation and a 12-month guarantee.
Mouldy or split sealant often shows up at the end of a tenancy, and it’s easy to sort out between tenants. Several properties can go on one quote.
Different surfaces, different methods
Bathroom floors
New floor grout makes a big difference to how a bathroom looks. The edges where floor meets wall or bath get silicone.
Corners and edges
Where tiles meet a bath, tray or worktop, the joint is sealed. Grout there would crack.
Regrouting around Wildridings
There are hotels and other places to stay in and around Wildridings. As well as homes, we work in hotel bathrooms, where resealing and regrouting can be done room by room. Wildridings is part of Bracknell, one of the post-war new towns. With many homes dating from the post-war decades, plenty of bathrooms have been resealed or refitted more than once. New sealant won’t stick to old, so the old layers have to come out first.
For an older house near a landmark such as St Michael and St Mary Magdalene's Church, older homes can move a little, which is hard on rigid grout and tired sealant. Letting a property close to Bracknell station? Then clean grout and fresh sealant between tenancies make a bathroom look cared for again. Managing a site like Wildridings Primary School? Then washroom and kitchen sealant there needs the same care as at home, and schools and businesses are part of our work as well as homes.

What sealant work can’t fix
Sealant isn’t the answer to every problem, and we’ll tell you before we start. Sealant will not put right:
- A structure that flexes behind the tiles
- Tiles that are chipped or split
- Waterproofing that has failed below the tiling
Not sure which it is? You can call 0345 464 0079 or email us and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Quotes for regrouting in Wildridings
We do not publish a price list, because no two jobs are the same. What we look at:
- How many rooms, windows or areas are involved
- Any working-time requirements on site
- The old material and how stubborn it is
- Which sealant suits the joint
Doing several joints on one visit generally makes better use of the time than several visits, so tell us about everything that needs sealing. We’ll give you a clear price for the lot.
What to tell us for a quote
To make quoting easier, let us know:
- Roughly how big the job is
- Where the job is, and your postcode
- Any access issues, like height or stairs
- The type of property
Call for a quick quote, or send an email if you’d rather. Tell us about the joints that need doing and we’ll explain what’s involved and send you a clear quote.
Your questions about regrouting in Wildridings
Is Wildridings within the area you cover?
Yes, we do. Our work covers London and the South East, from towns to the smallest places. The journey is planned ahead, so it helps to know about access.
Is it worth replacing old sealant in an older home in Wildridings?
Normally, yes, if it’s cracked, shrunk, mouldy or coming away. New sealant will not stick to old, so the old bead has to come out completely first.
Can you do several jobs on one visit?
Yes, we can. Several rooms, windows or areas can go on one quote.
What guarantee comes with the work?
You get our 12-month guarantee on every job, and we are fully insured.
What do you put in the joint?
Quality sealants from brands including Arbo and Everbuild, picked for each joint. We’ll tell you what we’re using and why.
How long should I wait before showering?
The wait depends on the materials and how warm the room is. We’ll give you a time to follow when the job is done.
Do you regrout part of a bathroom, like the shower?
Yes, we often do. Shower grout tends to go before the rest, so it’s often the only area that needs doing.
Do you reseal at the same time?
Yes, in most cases. New grout beside old sealant wouldn’t look right and wouldn’t keep water out.
How it works
There is not much for you to do on the day. Point us to the joints and we’ll get on with it. The work itself takes a few hours, or longer for a fully tiled room from start to finish. For a job in Wildridings, we agree the time, the access and parking before the day. If the work is outside, the weather plays a part, as sealant needs a dry surface.
- We start by checking the tiles for any that are loose or hollow.
- Old grout is raked out to a consistent depth without chipping the tiles.
- The joints are vacuumed and cleaned.
- Fresh grout goes into the joints and the tile faces are wiped clean.
- The corners and edges get new silicone, because grout there would crack.
Preparing for the visit
- Mention any sign-in or site rules at work premises
- Keep pets and children clear of the area while we work
- Clear the area around the work

Can I do it myself?
Some sealant jobs are within reach of a careful DIYer, such as a straightforward joint indoors. Where it goes wrong is sealing over the old bead, working on a wet joint or overloading the gap.
The biggest DIY mistake is sealing over old sealant. New silicone will not bond to old, so it peels away and traps moisture behind it. All the old material has to come out first.
Keeping the joints in good condition
Looking after new joints is easy:
- Wipe water off the walls when you are done
- Give the walls a quick rinse after use
- Check the corner silicone every few months
- Keep harsh bleach and acid cleaners off the grout
A squeegee or cloth over the tiles after use stops soap and water sitting on the grout. Ventilate the room well to help it dry out.
Cracked grout does not stay cracked for long. Water gets in behind and the tiles can start to loosen and early regrouting can avoid a much bigger job.
