New build mastic for homes and businesses in Danbury
In a new home, every joint should have a clean, even bead. When the finish is smeared, patchy or already cracking, it’s worth putting right early, before water reaches anything behind it. If you have smeared, uneven beads picked up at snagging and leaking shower tray seals in a new home, we can put it right, on windows & doors, skirting & floors and bathrooms & en suites alike.
For a new home in or near Danbury, it’s worth checking the sealant early. Gaps at skirtings, shower seals pulling away and missing mastic around frames are common snags.
There’s a 12-month guarantee on every job, whatever its size.

Danbury: your questions answered
Do you cover Danbury for new build mastic?
Yes. Our work covers London and the South East, and Danbury is part of that. You can ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and let us know what needs doing.
Do you cover smaller places like Danbury?
Yes, we do. We work across London and the South East, from towns to the smallest places. The journey is planned ahead, so it helps to know about access.
Should I try DIY first?
You can, for simple jobs. Preparation is everything: all the old sealant out, and a clean, dry joint. We can always put it right if it fails.
What information do you need?
The location, the problem and the rough size of the job. Photos by email help too.
Is there any odour?
Sometimes, a little. It fades as the sealant cures.
Do you work through snagging lists?
Yes. Send the list and a few pictures of the sealant items, and we will quote. We will flag anything that needs another trade.
Can you quote for more than one area?
Of course. Combining jobs makes good use of the visit.
Can landlords and businesses book you?
Yes. As well as homeowners, we work for landlords, agents, businesses and hotels.
What sealant work can’t fix
We’d rather tell you now than do work that will not last, so here’s what sealant cannot put right:
- Broken tiles or a split tray
- Movement caused by a poorly fitted tray or bath
- Leaks from pipes, valves or wastes, which need a plumber
If in doubt, call 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and we’ll say what we think.
Surfaces we seal
- Skirting & floors
- Kitchens
- Show homes
- Plot handovers
- Bathrooms & en suites
- Windows & doors
What happens if it’s left?
A tube of sealant from the DIY shop will not fix the cause: dust, no primer and old sealant left in the joint. Cutting out, cleaning and priming are what make the difference. Around Danbury, water from a failed joint in an older home can soak into timber and plaster, which is far harder to put right than the sealant itself.
A failed joint rarely gets cheaper to fix by waiting. If you’re not sure whether it needs doing, ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email and we will give you an honest view and a quote.
Why us?

Different surfaces, different methods
Kitchens
Sink joints are wet all the time. A kitchen sealant goes in there.
Skirting and floors
As timber and screed dry, skirting and floors shift. Caulk cracks; a flexible sealant moves with it in a colour to suit.

How we quote for new build mastic
We quote each job individually. This is what makes a difference:
- Whether the work is at height
- The old material and how stubborn it is
- The size of the job
- Working hours on commercial sites
A few things move the cost up or down: how much old sealant there is and how stubborn it is, whether mould needs treating, and whether the work is at height. Your quote takes all of that into account.
Asking for a quote

What we do, step by step
Our applicators work methodically: protection first, then preparation, sealing and a tidy-up. For most jobs that takes anything from a few hours to several days, depending on the number of plots. A visit to Danbury is planned like any other: the time, the access and where to park are agreed in advance. Outdoor jobs depend on a dry day, since sealant needs a dry surface.
- Each joint is checked for movement before work begins.
- We remove the failed sealant and clean the joints.
- We make sure the joints are dry and prime them if needed.
- New sealant goes in, with baths filled first so they’re at their heaviest.
- The finished joints are checked and the cure times given.

Advice
Can I do it myself?
Some sealant jobs are within reach of a careful DIYer, such as a straightforward joint indoors. Where it goes wrong is sealing over the old bead, working on a wet joint or overloading the gap.
The biggest DIY mistake is sealing over old sealant. New silicone will not bond to old, so it peels away and traps moisture behind it. All the old material has to come out first.
